We absolutely love everything about this hotel! It's so unique and the staff were all professional and welcoming. The rooms were incredibly clean. The pool and bars were all fun with some amazing views. We highly recommended this hotel!

Came here Saturday night as a party of three. We were seated relatively quickly among the hustle and bustle of the rooftop bar. It was packed! Staff were prompt and friendly. Everywhere you turned was another shoulder to bump into! The music was at a good volume as well, not too quiet, not too loud. The views of dusk and nighttime of the city in the distance were worth it! We ordered an earl grey cocktail, blackberry cocktail, as well as an IPA. The earl grey was delicious, complete with a flower garnish and cute glass cup! The outside of the city experience here was so nice for those traveling through looking for a more local feel. The cute pictures from here are worth it too!

No sink space! Bath Towels inside shower on a bench that get wet when you shower!

Stayed here last month for 3 days. Room was ok, If you like industrial, cold feel, you'll love it here. Tall cement ceilings. Long corridor type room. No built in lights. Had just hanging light with tons of sconce/detached type lights. So you have to manually turn/flip each one off. But the light's itself were still very dim, so despite the 15 lights it was still dark like a cave. Had a bit of an echo to the room. Cold floors, so bring your slippers. Weird low hanging pipes were supposed to be a substitute for closet rack. Nice that they provided an umbrella in case it rained though. In room lockers were narrow so didn't fit my wide suitcase. Door had no peephole to see when someone knocked (it was room service fortunately) so that might be a safety concern if a single woman/women traveling alone. Another safety concern is it just had a door handle lock, which any credit card could jimmy open. It didn't have a safety chain or anti-door slider latch lock. So another safety concern for the single female traveler(s)! Especially this area while not the most dangerous at night, but not the safest either. I wouldn't want my single young daughter in this room in this location without those bare minimum safety features on a hotel door. Not even a door stopper was present! See attached door pictures to see what I'm talking about. Maybe not all rooms are like this, so if you're a single female traveler, I'd ask to inspect room door before agreeing to stay in the room. Bathroom sink was not inside bathroom itself, but just outside in hallway. Sink with industrial theme, so zero sink space for any of your toiletries. There's a tiny bench next to it that you'll have to move the stuff next to tv bench to make room for your items, but maybe room for enough for one person. So if you're a group of a girls, there's no sink space for makeup or toiletries! The hand towels are also outside the bathroom area. The bath towels are sitting on a bench INSIDE the shower! Which they get all wet when you do shower, so not the most well planned out shower/bathroom arrangements. lol Ordered room service that was not only expensive but terrible, so I don't recommend room service at all. There are plenty of walkable restaurants nearby that were great, so that's a plus. Also the coffee here was also terrible! There's a walkable cafe that's great and a nearby Starbucks. So Just go there instead!! Overall great accessibility to lots of places and restaurants but for the price of over $400 a night, I won't be back unfortunately.

my corner king room was said have a great view. Not from the low floors it doesn't. Yet they charge the same price. bathroom view even worse

I have stayed here on two different occasions in the last two months because my father passed away and I have had to fly in and out of Chicago several times for his funeral and executor duties. On each of the last two trips I decided to spend a little more than I usually would because my life is hard and I miss my dad and I wanted a nice room. Both times I have paid almost $400 a night for a room and both times I have been put on one of the lowest possible floors. This last time I upgraded to a supposedly nicer corner room where great views of the city were promised. Maybe you get those nice views on the upper floor. However, on the lower floors your view is crappy (see attached photos). You have big windows showing you big views of cars very close to you on the street below (which you will also get to hear, since the windows can't block the noise very well when you are so close to the street), a bunch of junk and garbage under the L, an abandoned bank, and stuff like that. It is a bad view. I am sad I am closer to it with big windows looking out on it. The main takeaway is if you are flying in and are not here at 3, you will get a crap room on a low floor. My flight has come in at 6 PM both nights and it appears if you get in any time after mid afternoon you will be stuck on a low crap floor for the same price as all the people getting a great view and not staring at traffic, abandoned banks, and garbage under the L. When we checked in my husband reiterated we would like the highest floor possible (which we also put in the reservation) and the nice young man at the front desk started a long story about because Biden was doing some event in china that put a strain on the San Francisco airport and many people had stayed over--which was the prelude to revealing we once again had a very low floor and a crap room. He kindly said but really all the views are great. While he is kind, what he said is untrue. It doesn't make you feel better to pay almost 400 getting a crap low floor room to have someone tell you it is actually a good view. The counter factual reality is a little maddening to hear. I did admire the young woman I got a long close up view of waiting for the bus for half an hour while reading a book in the cold in the failing light. My husband and I thought It was kind of hilarious that Biden, China and San Francisco were being blamed for our crap view in a Chicago hotel despite the high price and website promises. Maybe that works with right wingers. I guess the logic of the person's statement was that because something happened at an airport in San Francisco our long made reservation didn't matter. We had to have a far worse room than we normally would get because people needed to stay there instead of going back to San Francisco at the last minute, I'm not quite sure why that means we would have to have the lowest crap floor, and they would get the highest because of this but there it is And in the days leading up to this I received a phone call a text and email messages asking if I was really going to stay there. At the time I thought it was because I had had to change an earlier reservation but now I realize it was probably because they were trying to get more rooms for people other than me who matter more. There are some nice things about this hotel: it has black out drapes and is well maintained and has old school style. The guy at the front desk was nice if maddeningly wrong about our too expensive room havng a nice view. Yeah you just got a really bad room but let's be cheery about it! After all you're the one who has to pay the same high rate for the crappy room so we might as well act like It's GREAT!. Not enough to make up for tiny bathrooms with crappy shower and no tub, a lot of noise on the low floors, and not enough light in the room to read a book once you have turned them all on. My big point is: they should charge less for the corner kings on Floors 7 and lower. People on floors 8-14 may have a nice view. I will never know, because I have only been put on the 4th floor and the 3rd floor--since the lobby is first floor and the lounge is on the second this means the 800 I have paid has landed me on the lowest floor and the second lowest floor. I strongly feel anyone on the low floor should be paying $75-100 less than people on 8-14. Just be aware if you are flying in and don't have some kind of in with the hotel, unless they are really underbooked you will be stuck on a low floor and get way less for your money than other people. Their rates should reflect this and they do not. Don't be fooled like I was. Sadly though I was trying to pay more to get something nicer, I paid more to get the least nice rooms of any I stayed in during this sad fall season where I have been in Chicago hotels way too much after losing Dad. This hotel was a big disappointment. Its too much of a gamble. There is a very good chance you will pay top dollar and still be stuck on the bottom.

We had our rehearsal dinner and wedding at The Robey last October, and it was the best choice we made! The vibes are great, the food is great, everything was in one location, great views, and the staff is awesome. Ellie helped us through the whole process and was really fantastic to work with. Our guests had a great time and loved the unique venue.

This is a fiver in terms of ambience and urban comfort. By far the nicest place in Wicker and the best views of the Chicago skyline from miles around. I was on a roadtrip over the summer and stayed here for a few days. My buddy who lives down the street kept telling me about The Robey. So, while I was here during lalapalooza weekend and every hotel had prices through the roof, I took a chance at The Robey and LOVED it. Note- Only one of the valet's knew how to drive my car which has a stick shift. This is an old building converted into rooms. Friendly staff. Beer in the fridge is included in the room price. And that's really the only negitive about here. Its not a cheap hotel. If it were, I'd stay here every time I was in Chicago. The two bars are great. One has a pool. The views are great, but the cocktail bar on the 11th floor has GREAT VIEWS.

Marissa P.

I went to the Up Room here and it was GORGEOUS! Definitely worth the wait. The cucumber cocktail was my favorite! The views are beautiful and it is a great date night place, but please don't ruin the experience for others with flash photography! They have heaters outside and a cute indoor portion with glass walls. Definitely bundle up because it's generally a lot colder up on the roof.

Christopher C.

Came for drinks with some coworkers. It was a nice spot on the roof with great views of the skyline.

Pool is more for aesthetic and gets very packed and hotel guests do not get priority even though it says so on website! They should save tables for guests! All of the staff was extremely nice besides pool "host"--I can't even begin to say how rude & unhelpful she was. We had zero service and was told we couldn't order at the bar while waiting to sit at the pool. Cafe is great, Coyote great, frozen pool drinks great! Could hear ppl in hall outside of room and faint sound of train running bc of being an old building... light fixtures in room a little odd (European style knobs). Paid a lot for 2 nights in king suite with view & wish it had bigger seating area or layout. Hotel gave complimentary cava for my bfs bday in room which was thoughtful and appreciated! Coffee downstairs was delicious and a lifesaver lol.

This is such a hidden gem in Wicker Park and I'm scared my review will continue to promote and feed its secrets to the world. My review focuses primarily on the second floor lounge. It is such an escape from the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood. The lounge feels like an airport lounge in that once you're inside, amenities are available at a cost but you are free to take a sit, relax, and use their complimentary Wi-Fi while people watching or getting some work done. My friend and I rolled in here after dinner to get work done and we loved simply sitting and relaxing on the couches. We didn't feel pressured to order any food or drinks but I imagine that may change if it's a very busy night and we're taking up some spots. However, it was a pretty lively scene inside with some people working, some drunkenly chatting, and having a grand time. The service team even allowed us to stay past their closing time to get some more work done as they wrapped up in the back. I appreciate it wholeheartedly when businesses let you stay past closing without making you feel like you're a burden. Thanks Robey for the chill productive evening. I look forward to coming back again soon.

This hotel was located within the loop near the river, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel rooms are basic and small. We were fortunate to get an upgraded room with two queen beds and an amazing view out the window of the city. The window was large and clean. The beds were comfy with ample pillows. Four pillows were provided. The hotel set up is a bit awkward. Room is best for one person as lacks storage for large luggage. Plus there is not a defined bathroom. The shower is within the bedroom. Fortunately the shower was frosted but you walk right into the bedroom so you must be comfortable with those you stay with. Plus the room does really have a deck and chair to work. The desk is a fold down from the wall. The chair for the deck is located on the wall and not really suitable for long term working on sitting as does not have a back to it. The best thing above this hotel are the staff. The front desk staff are super friendly and accommodating and aim to please. The bartender was super friendly and attentive as well. Lastly parking is not available right at the hotel. You have to walk two blocks. Plus parking cost 59 dollars and that's the discounted rate. Also not really a suitable place to drop luggage off. If you pull up to the front door, you are blocking traffic. Base on price of 400 dollars the night we stayed, I would say it's not worth the stay. Maybe it's worth 200 or less for Chicago.

Something as simple as butter and jelly for the toast wasn't provided. Arrived back between meetings. Stood out front and in the lobby for over 15 minutes to try and give my keys to the valet attendant. No one was anywhere to be found. Wouldn't answer calls from the front desk. They finally took my keys then some dude chased me down saying they can't keep them and I have to keep waiting. Oh this made me LATE to my next meeting. $89 a day for poor performance was not worth it. I would 100% suggest parking yourself or a block over at London house. They always have 4+ attendants. Help with luggage and doors etc. oh and it's CHEAPER. We appreciated the room upgrade. The room itself was okay. It wouldn't get below 71 degrees and got upwards of 76 degrees during the day. I want to say that I have had my eye on this hotel for a while now after looking for Hilton hotel locations with a peloton bike, which this one has. Other than that, I loved that the location of this hotel sits in the heart of Chicago, surrounding a plethora of activities which made it the perfect choice for hotel stay to celebrate. Okay, it was an experience going up to the lobby area to check in at this hotel, a blonde moment as I am known for if you follow my reviews. The lobby is located on the 4th floor, so be sure to choose "L" for the lobby because there is no 4th floor button listed in the elevator. Me and two other hotel guests had an adventure going up to the lobby area after trying to figure out where the 4th floor button was. My experience with the receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing on what is offered, and the receptionist giving me my room key. For your information, check-in starts at 4:00 PM and check-out ends at 12:00 PM! If you have the Hilton honors application, there is the opportunity to check in with the application, choosing your room, and receiving a digital key, which will allow you to go to your room contactless without seeing a receptionist upon your arrival. I have not used this method, but if you are interested in no contact whatsoever then you can use it with the Hilton Honors application. After locating and entering my room, I thought to myself this is fancy once I took notice of the design and interior color which appeared so elegant! There was a variation of vibrant colors in the room from its curtains to the headboard of the king-size bed, the carpet, and a gold chair that looked like something out of your grandmother's house. Out of all, I just could not take my eyes off the curtains which reminded me of cherry blossoms because of the colors. Inside the bathroom there were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% attached to the wall. Throughout my travels, I have noticed that hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting my face and body. Other things the room came with that I noticed were a comforter, an iron, ironing board, blow dryer, safe, comforter, a coffee maker (Hamilton Beach), a mini refrigerator, microwave, and USB and AC plugins attached to either the headboard of the bed, lamps, or the television cabinet, which added a nice touch to the room. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Hampton Inn Majestic, as expected, had an exceptionally beautiful inner interior! As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines during my stay. I must say that I was pleased to see several dumbbell weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, a decent selection of workout machines, and two peloton fitness bikes which charmed me out of my panties once I spotted them. And oh, honey did I enjoy it on my birthday with the lovely Hannah Frankson as my peloton instructor, who put my legs through torture during her low impact workout. Having the complimentary breakfast was a relief because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant for breakfast in the morning. And I was highly satisfied with the quality of what was presented. It is served daily from 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM. For you all visiting the city of Chicago, there are plentiful sights, activities, and restaurants within a radius of Hampton Inn Majestic. As a resident, a few that I adore are Willis Tower, Millennium Park, and the Art Institute of Chicago! Next door is the CIBC Theatre, which I noticed upon my initial arrival at the hotel. And if you are looking to explore the city or outer part of the city, the Chicago Union Station, and CTA Train Station are very accessible to-and-from. I would surely book Hampton Inn Majestic Chicago Theatre District again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of interest in downtown Chicago. ~ Live every moment ~ Thomas G

The reception floor is well planned out even though it's compact. By that I mean, as soon as you step out of the elevator, the reception desk is right there with a seating area. The breakfast area is towards the back room. Checking in was very painless. I made it to my room on a higher floor. For a downtown Hampton Inn, the room was quite spacious. The lobby is beautiful, and several family members who stayed with us also commented on how much they enjoyed the hotel. At the time, pricing felt mid-range for a luxury hotel in Chicago, offering excellent value. It was summer, likely a less expensive time to visit, but even so, considering the room size, comfort, service, and location, it seemed like money well spent year-round. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We would happily return and are eager to explore other Langham properties worldwide.

We were in town briefly for a wedding, and the JW Marriott was our hotel of choice. While not…read moreluxury, the hotel was very nice and comfortable, and the location was central to our wedding happenings. Everything was great until I checked out and discovered that I had been charged $88 per night for parking. That was quite unexpected. I had been in Chicago just a few months earlier and had paid $55 at the L7 Hotel. So I was shocked that the JW could charge so much. How is their valet parking better than the valet parking at the L7? I realize now that had I been traveling alone, and not with my family, it would have been cheaper to fly to Chicago, than drive the 4.5 hours from Ohio. Apparently the hospitality industry hasn't caught on to the current affordability crisis, or at least Marriott hasn't.

Check in is quick, rooms are fine (and clean), and the executive lounge is nice. I was warned about eating in the bar on the first floor, which I hadn't done in a few years, but it was getting late, and the weather stunk. I saw friends in the bar area, so I took root at the table nearby. Service was fine, and I enjoyed a few of the Amber bee on draft. The menu looked good, and I ended up with a steak fried rice bowl. The steak was gross. It didn't even look like steak that should be served. It was fatty and tasteless. I ate less than 1/2 the rice and 1/3 of the steak. I wasn't starving, so it wasn't a huge deal, but those who told me to avoid the bar area for food were right.

I've been to Miru many times and finally got to try out the hotel for a staycation…read more Pros: -I loved that they had two restaurant options in the hotel. Both have incredible views but I would definitely recommend having at least one meal on the Miru patio if you are there during nice weather. -I was most surprised by their massive gym and has stunning views. It's also open 24 hours. They offered Pilates classes as well for an extra fee. -the hotel is brand new and all the finishes are so high end. The rooms are clean and quiet. The hallways are huge and felt like a maze to navigate but it also added to feeling of privacy. -there were so many high end details that made it extra special (the cozy Frette bath robes, welcome drinks, treat box in the room upon arrival, and the accent lighting in the room). -the location. It's just across the river from the heart of Michigan ave on the north end of a residential development. You don't feel like you are in the middle of the chaos of the city but the park, lake front and river are footsteps away. Negatives: -view was underwhelming ( fourth floor river view . Might choose the park view next time. I'd also recommend not facing the river as there was lots of honking/noise. -the room layout was awkward. They have this huge desk between the bed and tv. The full length mirror is a down a long hallway from bathroom/ where you would be getting dressed. -the room service comes on these huge heavy trays. The staff seemed like they were straining under the weight of it/ it was awkward. -I'd probably skip the spa/massage -$90/ day parking. Was able to do a spothero for about $40 next door.

This hotel has it all from Pilates, to Barre to Yoga to their Athletic Club and Pool…read more The only complaint is that it's not bunched with the other hotels, its toward the end of Wacker next to the lake. So, walking from the Blackbawks shop when it's 20° isn't an easy task. Also, I wasn't able to try the Tre Dita since I didn't book a reservation in advance. Hopefully, I can schedule a reservation in the future. Plus, since it was mid-December, the St Regis had their third annual 12 Days of Sabrage, which guests of honor perform the evening ritual of champagne sabrage, which celebrates the transition from day to night. They offered complimentary toast of champagne and a Vosges Haut-Chocolate truffle. The hotel encouraged everyone to bring a new or lightly used winter clothing for children in need.
