I don't own a restaurant. Nor do I know anyone who owns a restaurant. But this store still fascinates and gets me to spend money. This past week, Jeremy and I visited because he wanted to get a knife bag. He received some new knives for Christmas - this year and years passed - and he wants to bring them with him when we go to our friends' house to make dinners. We do this quite frequently. We celebrate all the birthdays, and all the holidays - even stuff like Cinco de Mayo, and Chinese New Year. We'll take any excuse to gather together, smoke some pot, eat some good food, and enjoy our fellowship with these wonderful people. People we just met, oddly enough, less than two years ago and who I cannot imagine my life without. Weird how the Universe works. This was our second time visiting this store, and it's all set up to sell you everything you might need for Superb Owl. I don't care about sportsball, but we still managed to spend close to $100 on knives and peppers. I can't explain it. But it needed to be done and I'm happy that I could accomplish the task. I swear next Christmas I am buying all my friends brisket knives. This store is SO fun. You should visit it just to have an adventure. But I bet you buy something because the prices are super reasonable. read more

The store is usually excellent. Today I bought a fridge and while the employee was assisting us a co-worker came over and just started to berate her fellow employee. I have ordered stainless steel utility tables that provided storage below, measurement cups, mixing bowls, tons of spices, cleaning supplies, a pasta rack and now Hocking glasses and a heavy duty stainless steel pot aluminum clad. The restaurant store never disappoints. They are always friendly, professional and efficient . I always go back to their website to find new ideas for the kitchen. And to buy great finds. (ROTD 5/27/2018) Bottom Line: A huge warehouse of everything restaurant and kitchen-related welcoming restauranteurs and home cooks alike. This place is amazing! As the name implies, this is a restaurant supply store. Even if you're not in the restaurant business you are more than welcome to shop here. The store has kitchen gadgets, glass ware, shelf stable ingredients, baking supplies, cleaning supplies, paper goods,big items for commercial kitchens and tons of other stuff. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you are hosting a big party or running a sports team concession stand this would be a great place to shop for the big event. They even have items like nacho chip trays and drink mixers. All items are marked with the member price and the non-member price. As a casual shopper, I do not have a membership but I still found the prices to be very reasonable. My Mom and I wandered the aisles here for cans of chopped clams, offset spatulas, bakery boxes, an ice cream scoop and a few other items. I didn't know what to expect when I visited this store, but it met my expectations for restaurant and event supplies. Don't expect to find high-end crockery such as Le Creuset or Mauviel cookware, but they have the bones for anyone who loves to cook. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. That said, my visit was a bit disappointing as I was in search of a large wood cutting board. The selection was very impressive, and I found the larger size I was seeking. Here is the BUT, when I returned home and opened the box, the cutting board smelled strong of chemicals (the board was made in China). I treated the block as instructed, and it soaked up the oil. The oil raised the wood grain, which needed to be sanded with fine-grit and treated a second and third time as the wood was so dry. I gave it several weeks to acclimate, but the chemical smell never went away. I now have an excellent base for my wife's plants out on the balcony. As for the other items I purchased that day, a big thumbs up. I won't slam a company for one lousy product, and I recommend a visit for your own experience. Overall it was a good experience, and I plan on picking up the large wood cutting board from N J Flihan & Company next month when I visit Utica (NY). read more

This is the Home Depot/Costco/Walmart for the restaurant business. They sell a wide variety of wares that you need for your restaurant or food service business. Cookware, appliances, spices, carryout boxes, furniture, and much more. I really like this store because they have a wide selection whether you are a food truck, fancy dine-in, cupcake bakery or huge buffet. The prices seem very reasonable. Lots of parking and near the I-95/I-695 exits. You can be a joe schmoe and purchase things here also. I love it! read more

This is a browsable warehouse for folks who need restaurant supplies, located directly across from Patterson High School. As a bartender, caterer, and amateur cook who keeps a meticulous kitchen, I would go here for future supplies because (1) they sell quality things and (2) they sell those quality things at great prices. They have multiple stores in addition to online ordering. When you visit the site --and if you want to buy in person at the store-- you select the store nearest you. The online catalog then updates itself to reflect what is in stock at that specific store. The catalog seems accurate. They seemed to have about what they said they would have; they certainly stocked more than 1 of everything I had on my 10-item list. There is a wide variety of things to get. As a bartender, for example, they had some pre-mixes I've never heard of before nor seen for sale at other restaurant supply stores in the DC/Baltimore area. I've been here twice to buy things. Their employees are friendly but young and are feeling out the warehouse a bit; I'm not sure everybody knows the simple stuff like where the copier is to make receipt copies, or where specific sections are. I advise against paying for goods here in 2 mediums. I wanted to pay for some of my total bill on a card and pay the rest in cash. That took some minutes and a manager, and it involved a circuitous practice of buying and crediting a gift card, a handling procedure that shouldn't have to exist anymore with most electronic purchasing-receipting machines. Other than that my only (and very minor) complaint would be that they don't sell the "Pulltap" corkscrew / wine key, the Cadillac of service corkscrews; all restaurant supply stores should have those in stock This store is very handicap accessible except when it's time to pay: very tall check-out table, and you can't see any running total or product swipe display. read more

Huge supply of restaurant supplies but I was looking specifically for baking stuff. Not as comprehensive a selection, but good. The baking items are quality and the prices are CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP compared to regular retail. Since this is a warehouse environment, don't expect a great deal of help. read more

I love the staff here. Few months back an employee put a dent in my BMW while loading supplies. He was so apologetic I couldn't even be mad. The company cut me a check and that was the end of that issue. When I go in the staff knows me by name and are always happy to see me spend away my time and money! read more
