This place doesn't deserve a single star. It is absolutely terrible. The only thing nice about this restaurant is the decor. Definitely not a great place for Mexican food. If you know good Mexican go to any other low par Tex-Mex restaurant like On the Border or Mexican Inn and you'll get better food and that's saying a lot since those places aren't good by any means. We went for brunch on Easter Sunday and my food was so bad I couldn't even stomach to eat it. The salsa was bland, with stringy pieces in it. Everyone is our party was extremely disappointed with their food. I know this place is new, but they have a another location. You would think the food would be good if they have multiple locations. Do not go here!!!! read more

Happy: Nice atmosphere and great patio!! Great location! The chips and salsa are amazing!! Crappy: The staff was overwhelmed and a bit lost. Very long waits for just the basics. While the chips and salsa were amazing the portion of chips and salsa wasn't like anything I have ever experienced in Texas! We asked for more and after 20 + minutes they brought us some. We were patient but it didn't pay off. I can't remember the last time I left a restaurant feeling like I had to beg for the basics, beg for someone to notice or care. My advice: Hire more staff and get better leadership. You have good cooks and an amazing location. We would love for you to win but your customers should walk away with a better experience and not weary from begging for chips and salsa in a timely manner with appropriate portions. read more

Food is terrific- if you can get it to your table. Ambience is great- the patio vibe is super aesthetic. Make sure you get the patio because you will be waiting a while for your food so you can enjoy the fresh air. Service is absolutely awful. 50 minutes in, no drink orders had been brought, nor was there any service to be found. We had to flag down a guy who said he was not a waiter nor a manager. He got the manager, who was able to rally a waitress and some chips and salsa. They scrimp on salsa and we had to ask several times for enough for the table. Queso Flameado is one of my very faves and the waitress said it was great, so a few of us ordered it. Queso Flameado at The Reserve= Queso. Literally... just queso. If you ask for it, they bring a very small, tiny little ramekin of pico and the same size ramekin of meat to pour into your queso...which is Not a flameado. I would return here because we all still liked our food quite a bit, but prepare yourself for a long wait and begging for your meal order to be taken- or for that matter, to even get someone to come to your table. By the way- drink orders were finally served after the meal came. Food: 4 Ambience: 4 Service: 000000 read more

Service was poor, and the waitress barely spoke English, had to show her what a Bud Light was on the menu! Food was not what we expected, no spice. Received approximately 20 chips with non-spicy green salsa. It was a little expensive!! read more

Tried The Reserve for the first time instead of going to our usual spot at Thirsty Lion. It has a very cute atmosphere when you walk in and seems like a nice place to have a casual meal. The menus were pulled up for us on tablets, which was nice because you could see a picture of every menu item. The staff was very attentive and we had multiple people check on us during our visit, but that was all they had going for them. I ordered a fruity cocktail (strawberry, coconut & rum) and my boyfriend had an old fashioned. I ended up ordering an old fashioned because the cocktail was not it. The old fashioned was actually decent! The food looked fairly good in the pictures on the menu but we were highly disappointed when it actually came out. First off, the portion sizes were almost half what you would get at any typical restaurant and it was averaging $20 a plate!! Second, the quality of food was not there. I had a cheese/bell pepper stuffed chicken breast with rice and a "salad" (shredded lettuce with diced tomatoes & no dressing) and my boyfriend had chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. The chicken was very dry but the bell peppers gave it decent flavor. The rice had corn, carrots, and peas in it and tasted like the rice you get at Panda Express. Definitely not like any Spanish/hispanic rice I've ever had. The refried beans were actually good but came in a tiny bowl like one you would get a side of ranch in. Most likely will not be a returning customer. The portion size, value, and quality were just not there and was not worth the money to us. We'd rather spend $100 on dinner across the street at Thirsty Lion or anywhere else nearby. read more

food is ok. but service is horrific. Very slow service, wait staff is rude and completely inattentive. just stand around and chat. The Manager and the decor was the only nice part. read more

This place needs to be shut down. Bar is dirty, and there was a hair in my food. Service was ok, bartenders looked like they didn't know what they were doing. I'm surprised they're still open. read more

We reserved a dinner on their website and the website showed availability which we picked 7:45. When we arrived they said we could get a drink but they close in 20 minutes. When we told them (and showed them) we had made a reservation for 7:45 they just told us sorry we are about to close. read more

I want to first start off by saying if this was the only restaurant left on planet earth I would rather starve to death. This restaurant made me so over stimulated I became itchy. The music is SOOO EXTREMELY OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD!!! I found myself yelling across the table. I ordered a frozen margarita and it came to my table completely melted. Let's talk about the tacos, DO NOT order the beef fajita, the meat was so tough I nearly dislocated my jaw. The wait staff is clearly overworked. our waiter was pleasant enough, but forgot to take the order of the other person dining with me and brought water out only after being asked three times. After asking for and not receiving the check, we paid on our way out instead. the decor is fun, but that's about it. I would not recommend; a poor dining experienc To say the least. read more

We went Saturday night. The place is really nice but the food was just ok and the service is beyond terrible. Seemed to be no one in charge. I never leave reviews but this was not a good experience. read more

We loved the food and cocktails. The restaurant is very esthetically pleasing. Loved the outdoor bar area. The insta ready camera is fun!

Simply put the food wasn't very good. The refried beans were the worst I've ever had. Tortilla chips bland and the salsa was boring. I had the "Reserve Special" which was anything but. The wine glass and beer glasses were covered with soap spots. The service was attentive and polite but lacking in training. The atmosphere and decor garnered the lone star rating. read more

This business is the most dysfunctional and unreasonable company, I have eaten at and had the disprivilege of working at, the management is all over the place and never were they need to be. The best way to describe this company is to think of a speeding car on the highway, it works fine with nothing in its way but let there be one inconvenience or burst of air, the car crashes and burns. That is this company and the lack of sense of awareness or leadership is the owners. (P.s. If you support immigrants, Mexicans, fair pay, equal rights, or you support a good work environment. DON'T WORK HERE OR SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!! read more

We tried The Reserve last week for the first time. We were excited when we walked in. It was decorated so beautifully and felt very upscale. However it was downhill from there. The frozen margaritas were terrible. They were so sweet I couldn't even drink it. I switched to a skinny margarita which tasted like just lime juice and tequila, so not much better. The salsa was good, but the tortilla chips were stale. I had the sopes. While the toppings were good the sope was so tough I couldn't hardly even cut through it. After the meal my husband looked at me and said well I can honestly say I didn't care for any of it. read more

Great food and drinks! Prices are a little high but worth it for the quality. I got the mole and a margarita and everything was fresh and tasty read more

9$ draft, 19$ Nachos. Overpriced, you'd be better off spending your money somewhere else. The quality is on par with Taco Bell. The service was bad, probably better at Taco Bell. Don't let the location and ambiance lure you in, it did me . Very regrettable experience. read more

The food is fantastic! And very attentive service. Love the enchiladas de mole, tacos de fajita and tacos de carnitas.

We went on a Friday night at 7pm and were seated inside right away. I think this was the grand opening weekend. The DJ was super loud for 7pm. It was hard to hear each other talk. I'm giving it 4 stars because I liked the decor, everyone that worked there was kind, and because when a place is new I want to cut them a little slack for growing pains. I'm also giving it 4 stars because I'm excited to try breakfast/brunch and go there for happy hour specials. Service was probably worth 2 stars. Our server was nice, but service was slow and she wasn't helpful when it came to menu questions. Drinks sat empty for a long time. We had to ask multiple times for refills on alcohol, she only offered refills on non alcoholic drinks. There were so many people working in this place and multiple people bussing tables, but no one would pre bus our table. When we were done with dishes they would just sit there. The food was decent. Queso had a fun presentation where they pour it into an iron skillet and mix in the toppings at your table, but it tasted just okay. I had chicken flautas and the tastiest part of the dish was the rice and gauc. My friend really liked her Trompo taco and my husband liked the fajita beef that came on his nachos. My dad's chimichanga came out plain with nothing on it (due to confusion from the server) and if you look at photos of a chimichanga at the other Reserve locations it looked nothing like this one. I'll definitely try the restaurant again after they have been open for a little while and hope that maybe next time I can do a 5 star follow up review. read more

What. A. Joke. No table after an hour. 2 people and 5 open tables that I'm looking at. Went to the attendant at the register and simply asked for a reasonable estimate since the text said 6:55 (30-45 minute wait already). It's 7:39 and we left. read more

I'm honestly not sure why there are several bad reviews of this place! Sure it is very new and probably still getting its bearings but the food is good and the service is excellent. My husband and I tried the queso, and both of us got some sort of steak dish and all was really delicious! The margaritas are delicious as well! I had the house Margarita. The waiter recommended the empanadas which we will be trying next time! They also have a really good happy hour every day from 3-7, I believe! We will be back! read more

Salsa was bland. The eggs during brunch overcooked, and chirizo had no flavor. Will give this place a chance in a year if it sticks around... read more

Food was so bland ! I had to ask for hot sauce - where the waitress brought me an unopened jar of Valentina ! Overpriced and portion is small as well . Had to walk to the counter to get my credit card back as it was taking then too long to process the bill.I really wanted to like this place but it's too far from authentic ! I guess the decor and outside patio are the two good things. read more

Pretty ambiance, Great options for all the meat, vegan and vegetarian foodies. Friendly staff and good quality Service

We were seated on the patio, which was great! But after sitting there for 20 minutes without being waited on, I went to the bar and ordered our drinks. They said that they needed our wait staff to add the drink to our ticket. I said..."What wait staff"? Finally after 30 minutes someone took our order. Thankfully we had our drinks! Food was good....but they seriously need some help! Can't give this place anything higher than a 1 star until they get it together. read more

This was a disappointing visit. We ordered drinks, queso flamado, and waited and waited. The salsa was flavorless brown and full of stringy stuff. The queso flamado was crema with no cheese or flavor. They added pico at the table and poured liquid into it. There was no flame in the queso flamado that was barely heated in the microwave. We paid the bill without even ordering food and ate at the Thirsty Lion across the street. Only the 2 families with toddlers next to us seemed to enjoy the bland food. read more

After reading the reviews, I am in agreement with several of them. I agree the service is really bad. They don't give you enough hot sauce for the amount of people at the table. The music is extremely loud and not what you would think it would be at a Mexican restaurant. I thought I was in a disco club. I expected to see the BEE GEES walk out any second. The place was really cold inside. Food was ok. Can't see going back with all the options available. read more

Worst "authentic" Mexican food I have ever had. Everything has a weird after taste. Queso is floury, "sausage" in the omelette is more like ground beef. I'd rather go to Taco Bell. A shame they're in such a great location but very very disappointing. read more

Arrived around 5pm for their happy hour hoping to have a couple of drinks, it didn't take long to get our first round. There were probably only 5-7 tables when we ordered our second round. We waited 30 minutes for 3 frozen margaritas. Once I said something to a manager, they proceeded to switch us servers & when we tried to reorder the margaritas, they told us that the frozen machine wasn't working anymore. That would have been something to mention a long time ago. Service was not very good, especially for there not being very many tables. The manager did not take care of us like I anticipated he would for such an inconvenience. I watched a big table next to us get all their drinks AND food before I said something to a manager. This place won't last 6 months. Don't know if I'll return. read more

I was so excited to check out this new restaurant, please save your money and do not! Food was horrible, the queso was water down and nasty. Elote was cold and blah. Drinks were served in broken rock glasses, with subpar service. Don't waste your time with the " New Mexican" restaurant. read more

Restaurant is super cute and the drinks are great. However the food is extremely overpriced for the quality that you get. Honestly Rosa's fast food is better by a lot.... Chips are out of a bag and the queso is pretty bland and thick. For the price, you are better off going to Gloria's or Rio mambo. Service was good for us but the drinks took a while to come out. Overall, I will be back for happy hour but not for dinner. Hopefully they get better quality food because we were very excited about a New Mexican restaurant. read more

Awesome ambiance. Good indoor and outdoor seating. Food was great. Service was a little slow. We really enjoyed the gauc and queso. Trompo taco was reeeeally good. Chile-relleno was also a hit. Definitely going back. read more

Music WAY too loud to enjoy dining. Chips kind of chewy like they are a bit old. The menu seems less than "authentic " described. Who serves fries as a side in an authentic Mexican restaurant? Surprised that several Mexican standard menu items are not served here. How do you have items on the menu with no explanation of what they are? The sauces are called Ruby, Pearl and Emerald without any explanation. Trumpo appears as a protein, but no explanation on the menu as to what it is or how it is prepared. The service is very iffy. Seemed to be plenty wait staff and front end staff. Food was bland. Rice tasted oddly like shrimp and that may have been on purpose. Just odd. It was a bit over priced for the quality and service. Will not be returning. read more

I will be honest and say this is the worst place I have ever eaten at. I have now been here twice. One on the first night of opening and sat at bar. Slow service, small portion and slow bar service but overall ok for an opening. Went again a week later and made reservations. A party of 4. First of all the music is as blaring like a dance club at 6:00 pm. Asked to lower music 3 times and no one could figure out how to do that. 3 different waiters took drink orders and only one drink was delivered and it was wrong. After going to the hostess station and asking for someone take our order, a young lady came and could only take the order if we pointed out what we wanted s on the menu. So we pointed out our entrees and then proceeded to wait an hour for our fajitas. We tried to order more drinks and never got them so my husband went up to the bar and ordered them. When we finally left after several agonizing hours, we found we were charged for a drink that was returned and was wrong. Honestly we so wanted this place to do well but they are so disorganized and have terrible Service. They shouldn't have opened until they had the right staff to manage and service their customers. Horrible experience. read more

Went for brunch and ordered the green chilaquilles, server came out with red instead. They were ok. They charge for extra chips and salsa. Asked the server for extra salsa only and he came back with more chips and salsa. Took forever to get a refill of water. We went around 1pm on a Sunday and hardly anyone was there. read more
