We found the entrance and walked into a beautiful old building. Reminded me of an English pub. We noticed one room had a painting class going on. We walked into the bar area and were greeted right away. Very friendly staff who asked what we were interested in. They offer both wine and beer. We ended up ordering both by the end of the visit. We decided to sit outside and enjoy some fresh air. We ordered the Spinach dip and a wine tasting. The dip was ok and the wines were good. While enjoying the wine a hummingbird landed close by. We then decided to try a flight of their beer. They were tasty. We would or the wine or beer next time. It is a relaxing place to enjoy some locally made products.

Augustino Vineyard and Winery, Obrien, OR - September 28, 2024…read more This is the third Harvest Host vineyard and winery we've been to. So far, we're batting a thousand - all great experiences. This is another great place to park your RV for a night or two, enjoy some nice scenery, try some good wine, and just hang out if it suits your fancy. The communication with the Harvest Host was good. We were given good instructions to find the winery off of Highway 199. As you're driving in on Gene Brown Road you'll come to two signs, one says Tasting Room with an arrow pointing straight ahead, the other sign says Harvest Host with an arrow pointing to the left. You turn left there and drive short ways in. On the right hand side you'll see the sites 9 through 12. You pick an empty spot and get set up. We stayed in site 12 the first night. It's a very spacious site with a picnic table and nice trees overhead. Once we got our site set up and we drove up to the winery and tasting room, which is about a half a mile away. It is a very cool treehouse tasting room. It has both an indoor seating area as well as a beautiful outdoor patio with about seven or eight tables. Our hostess's name was Angel. She was very friendly and set us up with some nice flights of wine. Wines are reasonably priced in the $25-$36 range. We tried a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Temprano, and Cabernet Savignon. All the wines were very nicely done. The tasting fee is $12 per person, which is waived with a two bottle purchase. We ended up getting two bottles of Chardonnay. Angel gave us some good advice about things to do while we were in the area. We went to Cave Junction the following day after we moved our motorhome to a full hook up paid site a little closer to the tasting room. After visiting Cave Junction, we went over to the tasting room again at around three in the afternoon and had a nice bottle of Pinot Grigio and enjoyed it on the elevated outdoor patio. The view of the property from the full hook up paid sites is very nice. You can see the vineyard and then the beautiful tree covered mountains in the distance. We were very happy with our stay here.

We were open to a large room where the general public sits with very loud music. Make no mistake, the music was Broadway Phil & the Shouters so it was GREAT -- but not appropriate for an elegant evening. Our server was wonderful. She was very attentive and made certain she took gracious care of everyone's needs. Her excellent service kept me from giving a lower rating. What contributed to a 2 star rating for this event was the fact that our bill was probably somewhere between $600 and $700, yet restaurant management declined to allow us to pay as couples or individuals with credit cards. Instead, management required all of us to bring cash -- even though we had no idea how much to bring to pay for our dinners and wine -- and for our president to have to collect the cash from everyone and count it several times to ensure that it was correct. In my opinion, collecting payment for a dinner is done by staff. This was insulting. As a member of the planning committee, I will not recommend that we hold future elegant evenings at Belle Fiore -- if that continues to be a requirement. It is utterly déclassé. There are other restaurants we can give our business to that understand excellent service. Clearly, management does not.
