Came for octoberfest. Pretzel was cold as hell. Food with overpriced. Wine and view was fantastic
    Janel L.

We came to check out their low-key octoberfest. The patio was filled with people tasting wine. Some people were dressed up, which I loved. As many of you know, I am far from fancy. I will eat a meal from a gas station. Of course, it has to be good, duh! The views are gorgeous. They have tables with gas fires. Everyone was beyond friendly!! Now the real disappointment of our experience was the food. In my opinion, it was way overpriced. The pretzel was beyond cold!?! My sparkling chardonnay was delicious.

Delicious wine, good snacks, incredible scenery, excellent service what else do you need? Brennan and Megan were a wealth of knowledge and so hospitable. My husband and I shared both flights one white one red. We left with 6 bottles only after restraining ourselves! Great value for excellent wine.

Disappointed. The white wines were just dull. The Estate grown Pinot Noir was easily the best - but $45. We stayed for my big birthday. The room was a weird pasted together mess with a tiny shower and a bathroom door that bashes anyone at the sink in the back. Ouch! The only view from our room was from the toilet! The winery accepted several events on the same night, so it was noisy, the most beautiful areas were reserved and there was no privacy. This family winery is trying. So I wouldn't say don't come here but just for the better wines. They are trying to be everything to everyone - 20+ varieties, brewery, event venue and Bed and Breakfast. BTW, Hummingbird, take "breakfast " off your marketing materials. Kuerig coffee with pods from Costco, stale granola bars and 3-day old banana (??) bread is not breakfast.

Another amazing stay at the Hummingbird Estate. I have been a guest one to two times a year since they opened in 2019. We have referred many family and friends to this place and they all say the same things. It's a beautiful place, quiet, amazing rooms, wonder staff and so much more. Thats why we keep coming back year after year. This year I noticed so remodeling and furniture rearrangement and it looks better than ever. Thank you so much to the Walk's for making such a wonderful place to stay.

We recently stayed at this property in the Chardonnay room and were beyond impressed with everything. Megan was awesome!! She was the kindest and most helpful host. She was knowledgeable about their wines and gave great local dinner recommendations. The vineyard and the grounds were gorgeous. The terrace and outdoor seating area was nice with stunning views. The Chardonnay room was so cozy and nice. Very relaxing and peaceful. The wine and beer were delicious. If we had checked a bag for our flight home, we definitely would have taken home some wine. We really enjoyed it. The breakfast was very tasty. Hummingbird is not just the name of the place. We actually saw several cute hummingbirds there too. I highly recommend this place. Megan was the perfect host. It was a truly magical experience for us and a perfect way to end our Redwood and Crater Lake trip. I'm already planning my return trip and stay at a Hummingbird.

Such a beautiful place! We got flights at the bar and had them on the patio by a fire pit. The view is expansive. The staff was so nice to us, I'd love to come back and stay at the B&B. We loved the Malbec.

A beautiful, historic estate surrounded by lots of greenery, and of course, lots of grapevines. We arrived after the kitchen closed, but were able to enjoy a couple of their wine flights (very reasonably priced at $10-12). Pro tip: if you get the Estate flight (all reds) the Terrace flight (all whites), you will maximize your tastes by not doubling up on anything! We made sure we were able to catch breakfast here. Jess told us it's a favorite, and she did not lead us astray. We were greeted with freshly percolated coffee to wake us up. Each morning, the breakfast menu changes. After a mini fruit dish, we were served a sun-dried tomato feta scramble, sausage, and pumpkin spice coffee cake. I still can't decide which I enjoyed more: the scramble or the coffee cake. I was happy to have both a savory and a sweet that were so delicious, I polished off my entire plate. Nicely done, Chef Kristina! This was our third Harvest Host stay and we continue to be impressed by the warm welcomes from our hosts and the gorgeous locations. We stayed in spot 4 on top of the hill that had an amazing view of the vineyard, Medford, and the stars!

An astonishing establishment. Try saying that five times fast. We came through Harvest Host to camp out over night and toured the facility. Breathtaking views, amazing historical home, awesome hosts, and the wine was AWESOME. Highly recommended. Has us wanting to move to Medford.

We found Hummingbird Estates through Harvest Host while looking for a place to camp in our van for the night. The staff were polite, friendly and so very accommodating. After they showed us where to park, we wandered down to the tasting room to sample the wines. In addition to wine, we also ordered the veggie/hummus plate and a loaf of French bread that has a beautiful crunchy crust and is paired with olive oil and balsamic. The French bread was so delicious, we ordered a second. Had a difficult time with the balsamic, as the container is a tad too deep when dipping the bread. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the views and chatted with other guests. Left with a couple/few bottles of wine and smiles on our faces. The part of the property where we camped out for the night is peaceful and quiet and overlooks the vines. Great stop on our adventure.

Family owned and beautiful! Normally I'm not much of a bed and breakfast kind of person but everything was thoughtful and endearing. The property is magical and the owners are truly wonderful. We loved our two night stay.

Hummingbird offers serene and scenic views of Medford and the Rogue Valley . We enjoyed sipping on wine and noshing on beautiful charcuterie boards while a light storm moved through. The staff just kept moving along as if they weren't dodging the rain. Showing up with a smile to take our orders. I went with the Vineyard Flight, which offers a couple good sips of four wine types. I liked all, except the Rose of Pinot, which was a bit too tart for my taste. Since wine is such personal opinion, I wouldn't let my thoughts sway anyone wanting to try this flight. The important thing is it's definitely enough to determine what your likes/dislikes are and move on to ordering a full glass! We also got a bottle of the Sparkling Chardonnay, based on our local friends' suggestion, and we were not disappointed! If you like bubbly, this is a must try. Cool and crisp, it's also perfection on a summer day. Overall a terrific experience, with great wine, apps and views, Hummingbird Estate should be on everyone's list whenever visiting the Medford/Jacksonville area. Travelers with kids will like this spot because the outdoor seating area is surrounded (for the most part) by a nice rod iron fence, which helps keep kids corralled. There's parking out front. Take a self tour through the main building to see the beautiful old architecture and lead glass windows. Stunning! They also have rooms for overnight stays and host concerts and other events.

Augustino Vineyard and Winery, Obrien, OR - September 28, 2024…read more This is the third Harvest Host vineyard and winery we've been to. So far, we're batting a thousand - all great experiences. This is another great place to park your RV for a night or two, enjoy some nice scenery, try some good wine, and just hang out if it suits your fancy. The communication with the Harvest Host was good. We were given good instructions to find the winery off of Highway 199. As you're driving in on Gene Brown Road you'll come to two signs, one says Tasting Room with an arrow pointing straight ahead, the other sign says Harvest Host with an arrow pointing to the left. You turn left there and drive short ways in. On the right hand side you'll see the sites 9 through 12. You pick an empty spot and get set up. We stayed in site 12 the first night. It's a very spacious site with a picnic table and nice trees overhead. Once we got our site set up and we drove up to the winery and tasting room, which is about a half a mile away. It is a very cool treehouse tasting room. It has both an indoor seating area as well as a beautiful outdoor patio with about seven or eight tables. Our hostess's name was Angel. She was very friendly and set us up with some nice flights of wine. Wines are reasonably priced in the $25-$36 range. We tried a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Temprano, and Cabernet Savignon. All the wines were very nicely done. The tasting fee is $12 per person, which is waived with a two bottle purchase. We ended up getting two bottles of Chardonnay. Angel gave us some good advice about things to do while we were in the area. We went to Cave Junction the following day after we moved our motorhome to a full hook up paid site a little closer to the tasting room. After visiting Cave Junction, we went over to the tasting room again at around three in the afternoon and had a nice bottle of Pinot Grigio and enjoyed it on the elevated outdoor patio. The view of the property from the full hook up paid sites is very nice. You can see the vineyard and then the beautiful tree covered mountains in the distance. We were very happy with our stay here.

This hidden gem is beautifully perched on a 31 acre estate vineyard with plenty of parking. It boasts sweeping views of Ashland, plus the surrounding mountains and valley are always breathtaking. Upon entry, a welcoming host lead us to our table, where I found myself captivated by the intimate, "al fresco" setting and jazzy live music playing, as we took our seats on the terrace. Overlooking their cultivated, extraordinary grapevines in the distance, we learned they've been growing them for almost 20 years now and their wine operation has been producing classic vintages that encapsulate French, Italian and Spanish heritages for almost as long. The main, multi-story building and climate controlled barrel cellar resembles an Italian basilica, complete with Campanile tower, gracious decks, balconies and an artistic Galleria that looks into the immaculate tank room. As we settled in, we were excited to begin the experience of tasting their food and pairing it with some great estate wines. The gourmet restaurant offers an elegant fusion of world-class wines and seasonal cuisine, creating a truly unforgettable culinary journey. Under the guidance of Head Chef Alfredo Nava, his kitchen brigade takes pride in sourcing the freshest, locally grown vegetables, fungi and fruits from the Rogue Valley. This important detail was refreshing to hear, when considering the current standard for many restaurants is sourcing ingredients through Sysco or other broadline food distributors. Belle Fiore's menu is appropriately condensed to two pages, but offers something for everybody. From appetizers, a house-made pasta special, flatbreads, salads, mains, a vegetarian (GF) option and daily desserts made from scratch, I think you'll find a satisfying choice. For our meal, we chose the bruschetta on a fresh baguette to begin, with a flight of refreshing whites. Then our mains arrived in timely fashion by our attentive server and I was happy to see well plated dishes coming out hot from the kitchen. Colorful, generous and composed, all looking very appetizing as set gently before us. I had the pork porterhouse, pan-seared and roasted, then topped with preserved cherries over a layered slab of potatoes "au gratin", with steamed garden vegetables on the side. The 1" thick cut was perfectly cooked (not dry at all) and was as juicy as the tart cherries that balanced the rich meat well on the palate. Wifey had the filet of beef and happily shared a few bites with me. Honestly, it was the best entree of the night and the finest steak I have tasted in years. The tender filet was rare-mid-rare with a caramelized crust, topped with Rogue Creamery blue cheese crumbles for a little funk. Plated with roasted potatoes, steamed asparagus spears and sautéed wild mushrooms in a delicious demi-glacé, fortified with deep wine notes. I would go back tomorrow just for that dish. Both of our mains were paired with a flight of robust and jammy estate reds. Even though we were pleasantly stuffed, we had to try their cheesecake croissant dessert, just because it sounded interesting from the server's description. The beautiful slice arrived with macerated berries and a big scoop of pecan ice cream on the side. Unfortunately, I thought it could have been better (we make killer cheesecakes at home) and suspect it had been in the fridge for too long. Even though the flavors were sweet, bright and creamy, the texture suffered from being too dense and doughy. That said, we left for home without any complaints and felt amply served on a gorgeous evening out together. Thus I'm leaving this as a 5-star review. The fine flavors were there, the wine complement each dish and the value seemed properly measured. I would say it's well worth the drive from anywhere in the valley. Truth...
