New to the Area and had an event planned but it turned into a disaster. I wont be going there again. First we booked for about a dozen, then verified that morning and we show up and are put in a room because the outside open mic decided to move inside. However we couldn't shut door ( understandable) wecohldnt communicate due to open mic. The worst part was our server she argued and talked back to our contact person. I booked my daughters graduation reception at Roxy Ann& it was perfect! Jill and Paulina helped with the planning, and making sure we had enough food and the tables and linens were all set up when we got there. We were able to connect to the Wi-Fi to play our own music and we got to bring our dogs. The wine was amazing and everyone had a great time. What a fantastic winery and tasting room!! And they make great wine! This should be a "must" visit winery! And....it's near the airport, so you could do a tasting before you get on a flight....that's what we did. They have a little fridge area to purchase cheese, hummus, and other dips, as well as an assortment of crackers and nuts so you can set up your own little smorgasbord of tasty treats to accompany your wine tasting/drinking. (They also have paper plates, utensils, and napkins so you have something to eat with and eat on.) I will be back!!! read more

But i found her. Such a cute and homey wine tasting place. You go up to the counter and order 4- or 5- wine flight or by the glass. They do not have the kitchen open. But they sell freshly baked baguette, local cheese; and other snacks and dips. Beautiful spaceous and in-door area; such a great experience from the snow outside. We wanted to go wine tasting and We hadn't been to the winery for a while. There were a few other people tasting and so we went up to the bar to look at what they were tasting. We had the dog with us so we were talking with another couple who had just bought a place in the area. We tasted the four wines on the list and then ordered another glass to drink outside. They have a few picnic tables on one side of the tasting room and more under a covered area behind. We also picked up some bread and cheese to enjoy with the wine. When we went in to buy some wine the tasting room was quite busy. (Great to see.). They also sell my favorite chocolates from Lille Belle Chocolates. Not our preference as a tasting room. It is very rustic but without being charming. It has no ambience that would cause us to want to return. It is the exact opposite of Belle Fiore in Ashland and Padigan, formerly 2Hawk, both of which have delicious wine and gorgeous tasting rooms combined with beautiful surroundings. Having spent so much time in the Medford area Roxyann winery and tasting room and country store is always one of my go to places. Sitting up in the foothills of rogue valley the view is spectacular. The home and tasting room which used to be the barn are historical landmarks. They have an honor produce section of fruits outside of the tasting room/store. I picked up a couple of huge d'Anjou pears and some beautiful apples. These guys sell to Harry & Davids and the fruit is right out of a magazine. The wines are pretty good. They've won many Southern Oregon Wine competitions. I picked up a beautiful Chardonnay for $28 and it would've been 40 if it was a California Chardonnay. Excellent. They have beautiful charcuterie plates and cheese plates available and of course a lot of stuff to go. I would definitely come up here the view alone is worth it. read more

The service was very unprofessional and unwelcoming. We got there shortly after opening on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. No one else was there. The server emphatically informed us that "it is common courtesy in the hospitality business to call ahead when you have a larger group". We had 7 people of which only 3 were going to have any wine tasting. She kept going on about it and made it very uncomfortable for all of us. I am still a big fan of Roxy. Close to home, and I love their Claret. Most recent visit last week was a bit strange though, in ordering their charcuterie board. (I'm not sure if they have it labelled specifically like this on their food selections, but it was one of two options on their appetizer menu). The cost was either $25 or $28. Not horrible or exorbitant. But when I ordered it, the gentleman behind the counter literally went over to the dry food shelf area and cooler, grabbed 3 or so pre-wrapped items, and began to hand it to me. I think he interpreted my look correctly...my look was like, "really?" And he quickly (good on his part) said "would you like me to plate this for you, and bring it out?" And he did. I'm just surprised that plating it wasn't the go-to thought from the beginning. Along with the fact that the prosciutto, crackers, and cheese was literally something you would find in your local Safeway deli. And even with it plated, it came out on plastic plates. Finally, no fresh fruit of any kind included, not even simple grapes. I'm only writing this now because of my wife's recent visit to Rellik Winery in Central Point Jacksonville Area. For the same (actually a little less) price point, their charcuterie app is on-point! Roxy should take notice. read more

The 2017 Chardonnay is unbelievable. SO good! It has a nutty coconut undertone and is light and buttery. The tasting room is in the beautiful Honor Barn. The renovated and spacious tasting room have COVID friendly spaced tables and mask wearing is enforced. Three tastings for $10. Wine is spendy yet delicious. I visited here pre-covid and it was during the winter so the only seating was inside the barn tasting room. It was very busy and hard to get a table but the atmosphere (and room) was very warm! This place is super cute. We were driving through the area and yelp searched places to stop. The yelp reviews and the discount brought us to stop by. We did the 4 flight of whites and were very impressed with the knowledge of the gentleman helping us. John made us feel comfortable and was very friendly. It is a bit odd to rave about something other than wine at a winery, but the staff and the store are what left the biggest impression. First of all, this place is incredibly easy to find if you are driving from Ashland to Medford. Thank you Oregon Tourist Bureau for the little blue signs leading me through the countryside like I'm following breadcrumbs. The winery is lovely with a large barn converted into a tasting room and store. We came for the wine tasting, which was reasonably priced and diverse, but couldn't help but wander around the store and we ended up buying several wine related items. They have adorable cork caddies that look like wine barrels and purses, cheese boards, wine aerators and so many other fun items. I also picked up the Oregon Wine Country Guidebook since I plan to do more wine tours in the Willamette Valley and beyond this summer. It's a wine bar....it's a barn.....IT'S A WINE BARN! And it's so adorably QUAINT, outdoors and indoors! I came with a group of 4 on a Saturday afternoon and had no trouble finding a table indoors on a chilly 30 degree winter day. We each did a tasting, which had 2 whites and 3 reds. The pours were GENEROUS, and I was stunned to find out that a tasting is only $7. On top of that, my friend Diane H had a few vouchers for free tastings (not sure how she stumbled upon them) so it was free for us! Why not 5 stars then? On our first pour, we had no idea what we were drinking because nothing was said as the wine was being poured! On the next round, we found ourselves deliberately asking the host to tell us more about the wines, and ONLY THEN were we given the whole shabang. I feel like being introduced to a certain wine enhances the tasting experience and shouldn't be excluded. Cuz let's be real, I'm not an expert and I don't mind being told what I should be feeling/tasting/smelling. The tasting room sommeliers are knowledgeable as well as personable. They have community events and music evenings, tho I've not been to them. Gayle and I took the short drive out to Medford one afternoon for a little wine tasting before our dinner at New Sammy's Cowboy Bistro. The Medford sprawl has grown up around it, but tasting room and RoxyAnn complex at the old historic Hillcrest Orchard is a welcome country island. The winery itself is named after Roxy Ann Peak, where their vineyard is actually located. This is also no small family vineyard. This is a sizable business that seems to extend to grape brokering and contract wine production. The tasting room itself was spacious and welcoming and included wine for sale (of course), kitchen and various seating areas, and an entrance into a nice patio and garden area. Carol was our informative and friendly tasting room host. And later on as a bonus, the managing director came in to help out on this fairly busy afternoon. There was a modest fee for the tasting and Gayle and I enjoyed several of their wines as we relaxed and chatted. We bought a few bottles ourselves and later noticed that these high quality wines were sold at various places we visited including the Ashland Co-op and just outside the Rogue Creamery. RoxyAnn is a great place to start your Southern Oregon wine tasting explorations. But don't stop there. Weisinger's in Ashland is also nice as are the wineries in the Applegate Valley just outside of Jacksonville. read more

Southern Oregon produces wonderful wine and there are many wineries to visit. Anytime I visit the Ashland area I like to taste at least one of them. RoxyAnn wines are featured at many of fine restaurants in downtown Ashland. So, that was our choice this trip. The tasting room is in a converted 1900 white barn. The interior is welcoming, the wooden floors and beamed ceiling add warmth to the room. This seems to be one of the larger wineries in the area. With the fruit stand at the entry and the location in a field it seems like a small family winery. I was a bit put off when we were told to sit at the bar rather than one of the tables, because they were for people who were having something to eat. We did have one of their savory plates with our wines which is all the other people had on their table. The server was pleasant and the 1950--1960 music in the background was well chosen. We did the full tasting. I was surprised at just how much I enjoyed the white wines. The reds were tasty also. I passed on these wines and bought a small bottle of the pear wine. At least where I live, it's hard to find a winery with food and a place to sit. The latter seems pretty common in Rogue Valley, but this was the only place we found with some nice food plates, the likes of which you can view in the photos (thanks to me). Each one was attractive and had a nice variety. On top of that, the two working there were very friendly and I enjoyed all of the wines they brought out. Port (they call it simply "dessert wine" there for legal reasons) is a guilty pleasure of mine, and this was better than usual so I bought one after not intending to initially! They don't wave the tasting fee unless you get three bottled, as the fee is quite low, but we ended up getting some perks regardless. A very cool place! read more

My sister and I were looking forward to a nice wine tasting today. Unfortunately that's not what we encountered. It was a Tuesday and not many wineries are open so we chose Roxy Ann. There appeared to be a lot of distractions on the premises and the customers were not the priority. As I wanted to get my second tasting, there were 5 -6 staff but no one looking my way. As I was waiting I heard one female say " I'm not waiting on them I'm off today". . What type of customer service is that? I mentioned it to the person that helped me on my next visit inside, mind you they weren't coming out to check on us, and she mentioned they were having a staff meeting. In my business the customer always came first, no excuses. She apologized for the other woman and offered me two free tastings but I turned them down since I was in town only one more day. While visiting southern Oregon some friends recommend meeting here to taste before having dinner at their home. We are from the Willamette Valley and are well acquainted with wine. The tasting room was lovely, it reminded me of Napa. They had small plates available for sale. The gentleman who helped us was knowledgeable and friendly. The grounds were scenic and I enjoyed the ambiance. We tasted everything available and opted to take home two bottles of the Viognier and a bottle of the Claret. For a small time winery in an out of the way part of Oregon, this was a lot of fun. It is casual and inexpensive and the wines were quite tasty. The staff was friendly and informative. It is a family friendly establishment, with a cheese, fruit and cracker plate available to go with the wine tastings. They also have a nice assortment of quality non-alcoholic drinks for those underage in the party, or for the designated driver. The seating is ample, a nice bar for singles or couples, quite a few nicely made bar tables around the room for small groups and a separate room for private parties. They also have local historic photos displayed and a lot of small wine related gift items for sale along with ample stock of all of their wines. The vineyard and the work buildings are right outside, on this country road between Medford and Ashland, and the tasting room is in an old barn. Very quaint. The tasting was only $5 per person and included very small pours of 5 of their wines, chosen daily, thought they actually gave us 7, just to be nice and because there were very few customers when we got there, the day after Christmas. The claret was the most popular with our group, though I personally liked the Barn House Red better and we all loved the local specialty of the pear dessert wine. We even took a bottle back to our hosts home to use after dinner that night. What a great winery! There were quite a few people there for a Tuesday afternoon. They stay open until 7 and since it's close to neighborhoods, it seems to me a place where people come to meet friends after work. Very friendly and informative, he offered us crackers and pulled chairs up for us. The tasting bar was in the middle of the room, so people could stand or sit all around it. Wow. Where to start...okay, with Mel. From the 1st phone call Mel was kind and informative. I live in Portland and was trying to pull together a Celebration of Life for my mother but not having much luck at all getting responses back from restaurants and event spaces in the valley. Enter Mel...She was always available to answer questions or give me ideas about caterers and beverage selections from the winery for the event. The patio space was perfect and she made it look beautiful. She was patient with me, which isn't easy sometimes, and made everyone at the event feel at home. The wine there is wonderful...I love the Rose and Pinot Gris and am happy I brought some home to enjoy! She was available during the event to help out with grabbing water for the tables, additional beverages and anything we might need. She also worked well with the caterer we had which I appreciated.
