Went on a wine tour with Wine Hopper tours. Our first stop was Red Lily Vineyards. The grounds are beautiful, the staff friendly and knowledgeable. They have a very appetizing menu. Really worth the visit.

If you love the river and wine this is the perfect spot for you. Located on the Applegate River with waterfront tables. The flights here are on not guided but they are more than willing to answer questions. In the summer they have a Frose option and a wine cocktail as well. A smaller selection of wines, not a lot of food options, but the vibe is great.

Such a beautiful place to chill! I loved their Rośe Mojito.. so perfect for the 80F weather!

This is my favorite winery. Family friendly, even my kids love it here! Lots of lawn area for them to run around on. They have the BEST carrot coconut soup. We drive from Grants pass to there just to have it. Favorite drink by far is their rose' mojito! They have concerts during the summer. Our first one was this last Thursday and we saw The Brothers Freed. They were fantastic! The service is always amazing. Everyone is also so sweet. The area around the place is beautiful!

While Red Lily was a little farther drive out than I was thinking, but was for sure, well worth the 20 minute drive. Beautiful grounds and tasting room. Wine flight was wonderful and a great value too. My favorites were the 2017 Tempranillo and a Chardonnay...forgot the year. We also enjoyed the pimento cheese plate and cup of tasty tomato soup. Everyone working was so friendly and took the time to make us feel welcomed and not at all rushed. I cant wait to return with friends, who I know will fall in love with this wonderful winery. Thank you for a great visit!

Bold, powerful and earthy wines. That's what the Spanish wines are all about! The winemakers are "terroir" driven - the soil and southern Oregon climate is the place where this style of grapes grows producing Spanish wines like Tempranillo. Sustainable practices and fastidious and caring manual labor provides best quality and consistency. Take it slow and easy during fermentation and aging - this gives the fruit time to reveal its bold flavors. Taste the fruit. Breath in the earth of the many divine wines. Big expansive grounds with many places to sit inside and outside. You can even grab a picnic table down by the river. Hot sunny day and the wind is blowing. A little wind! A little Vino! Get into the summertime vibe. Wines tasted: Lily Verdejo - white bubbly floral lemon! Bubbly not my style! Thumbs up! Life of Riley - red, tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon dark blackberry, spicy sweet oak complexity with chocolate! 2 thumbs up & 1 pinky! Lily Girl Rose - white w/Tempranillo, Granoche and Graciano, fruity jasmine. Thumbs down! Red blanket Tempranillo - red, tempranillo and Cabernet, spicy pepper, black plum da dum - Like a bolder Pinot Noir, big time bold. 3 thumbs up! Red Lily Tempranillo - red, Blackberry. 1 thumb up! A great gathering place but too many people not following social distancing or wearing masks. Too many people don't give a shit during the pandemic. Would love to have stayed longer but felt very uncomfortable. Particularly the queue at the wine tasting area needs improvement. Too many people crossing paths coming and going. Recommend one way into order and another way out after order pick up. Get it together Red Lily!

The Oregon wineries are clearly different from the ones in California because of rustic styles in the design of their facilities. Red Lily is a popular winery and the place is beautiful. Great staff and superb wines

Red Lily has a big fun space. Several different areas to sit for wine tasting. They were nice and helpful, unfortunately the wines were not to our liking. The grounds were pleasant to walk around and the river is a quick walk down the driveway. Nice and secluded area.

We visited for the concert on the beach. Our group had a great time. Beautiful views, welcoming staff and wine was good. Very reasonable prices.

Ugggh... I am in the minority here but the wines at Red Lilly just don't hold a candle to many of the other wineries in the Applegate. The grounds are beautiful. There is a creek and a large lawn and lots of tables. I enjoyed the wine at other wineries near by much more.

Gorgeous Winery Set Amongst Beautiful Pastures & Flowing River SITREP Without a doubt, this is one of Southern Oregon's premier Wineries founded by talented vintologists Les & Rachael Martin, and sentimentally named in tandem for both the Bolander's Lily (which grows nearby) and their daughter Lily. Centered amongst a woodland setting with the nearby Siskiyou Mountains providing a gorgeous backdrop, the wine is not only top-notch, but the setting is absolutely amazing. [And I can tell you in all honesty that I plan on stopping again here when I revisit this region.] THE SETUP I'm going to divert with this type of reviewing-category and do something I rarely do, and that's talk about the setting first before getting into the product, because even if the product was only mediocre, you'd still want to come visit this winery because of the sights & surroundings. [Luckily, however, the wine IS top-notch!] A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT Much like Castello Di Amorosa in Calistoga, CA in Napa Valley - which is a giant castle with a winery - Red Lily Vinyards is the kind of place you really want to see for itself, because the SETTING of the winery in this instance is almost the driving factor for your visit. Gorgeous landscaping, fronted by pastures and a river, with a wine-tasting area with deck-chairs & umbrellas set along the "beach" of the river, this is the perfect chill spot to come and drink a bottle of wine with perhaps even a cheese, bread & meat plate. THE WINE We tried a wine flight and they were all so very delicious. I tend to latch onto one wine in particular and will make that my purchase point (and it's wonderful that Red Lily allows the wine flight fee be applied to your wine purchase. In this instance I got their 2005 Madrone Mountain Late Harvest Gewurtztraminier since I am partial to sweet dessert wines, because a "Gewurtz" is a fabulous sipping drink to have on a hot day (and at times I even love to splash some on a small mountain of Vanilla Bean ice cream in a bowl). THE LOWDOWN Red Lily Vineyards is a great stop in Oregon Wine Country that you do not want to miss!

Really drinkable wine, reasonable prices, friendly staff and great setting. The Rose is nice and dry and they have a nice variety of other selections.

In the summer I love to bring a good book and sit by the Applegate River, which flows through their gorgeous property.

Upon arrival we met Crystal, the wine makers wife and tasting room pourer. She was playing fetch with a charming little puppy, Udon (we met his brother-from-another-mother Ramen) later in our visit. Looking in the unassuming tasting rooms, I noticed many flying pigs. Originally the owners just grew grapes to sell to wine makers. Turns out they had a hard time selling grapes many years ago, and the owner told his wife they'd start making wine. She said "when pigs fly". They started making wine and the rest was history. The wine is all excellent! Their reds are super on-point. My favorite was the Pinot noir. Berry, cola, bright and juicy. But not sweet. Excellent wines (and excellent prices). When we return, we will bring a picnic to take in the gorgeous surround. I loved this place and highly recommend to anyone who wants a spot to enjoy great wines.

Came here looking for more fruit forward reds; not a fan of the excessive tannins in many of the local Tempranillos *personal preference*. The price points are down to earth (most expensive is $32), the wine is very approachable so you don't have to be a somelier to enjoy the tasting experience and to find your Favorite bottle(s). Super chill, very casual (think converted shed), closest thing to Napa reds in Oregon (Quady North is another to check out). I could literally sit and smell their Cab Franc all day long *so jammy* The Winemaker himself did our tastings! We did buy a few bottles (Cab Franc) and were not charged a tasting fee.

Valley View Winery, Jacksonville, OR - October 4, 2024…read more This is a beautiful Harvest Host property. We arrived around noon, met winery owner Gail, and got set up. Our site was terrific. It was located just passed the parking lot area on the right on a decomposed granite strip overlooking a grassy picnic area with awesome gigantic oak trees. There were nice tables and chairs positioned around them with a couple picnic tables as well. They had a cornhole game set up. After having lunch in our coach, we went into the tasting room to try their wines. We each got a flight of six wines. The usual $12 per person tasting fee was waived for the month of October. Lucky us! The wines were all pleasant. We liked the 2021 Domaine Rogue Gravel Lane Pinot Noir and Rosé the best. They had a special on the Rosé, buy two and receive the third one for free. We got 3 for $44. Deal! We also bought a bottle of the Pinot Noir - $38. The tasting room closes at 5 and afterwards we had the place to ourselves. We set up our small camp table and barbecue, put on some nice steaks, and enjoyed them with our delicious Valley View Pinot Noir. There was some traffic going back and forth on the road going by the winery. Not sure where it was all coming from and going to. It's not at all terrible and died down after about 8. We had a good night's sleep and were pleasantly surprised by about 30 wild turkeys that invaded the winery lawn the next morning as we were enjoying our morning coffee.

Great place to have a wine tasting! Delicious... we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves…read more Generous servings and beautiful view outside
