I really enjoyed our visit here! The flights were great, and the head vintner even came around and offered us samples from newly corked batches. The ambiance is great, and they even have a couple of live animals on the grounds. They also have small food menu, and everything we ordered was delicious. The parking lot was large. Did we just leave brunch and come out to find cheese? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes. The service was lovely. What I thought would be a jaunt out to a farm turned into a two hour mini retreat with wine and cheese. We drove the short gravel road up to the beautiful tiered patios, lush gardens, a donkey, a cat and wee pony. Found our way to the tasting room ordered our drink flight and found a comfy spot. They have throw blankets- because it was 54° on the second day of summer at 1 pm in Oregon. Wines were fantastic. Highlights were the 'Cabernet - and '23 Viognior. I'd wax poetic about them but I'd sound like a maroon. I liked them. I liked them a lot. The cheeses were fantastic, the Chef plate was lovely, chorizo, salami, polish sausage, pickles, almonds and cheeses! I think just the cheese plate was amazing. Recommended to me by a new friend of mine and I will trust all of her recommendations if this is one of the places she sent to me! Nestled at the dead-end of a road in Grants Pass Wine Country, Wooldridge was such a nice escape from the concrete, chain restaurant jungle of Medford. I came at a quiet hour in the afternoon and mostly had the place to myself. Service was speedy and the staff appeared to have a lot of knowledge on their wine plus they could read their guests well (I wanted to work instead of chat) so I was left to my own devices. The Chef's Plate is a combination of their cheese and charcuterie. I thought the GF crackers they provided were super tasty but wish they had given me a little bit more cheese to nibble on. Went here for two reasons. They opened at 11am unlike all the other wineries around and they had some food options. Our visit did not disappoint. We arrived shortly after opening and realized quickly how beautiful the grounds are. We decided to try the tasting and get the cheese board. They have juices and other drinks as well for kids or people who don't like or want wine. For the tasting, the rosé was added as well. All the wines we tried were excellent and I surprisingly liked the rosé, I usually only like French ones. The cheeses and house made crackers were so delicious and a nice complement to the wine. We met Lewis the vineyard cat, he was so sweet and chill and we got to hear a few stories about him. We were told a little about the winery and creamery and about the wines. Overall an amazing visit. Enjoyed an afternoon wine tasting in Applegate Valley. Wooldridge was our favorite winery for the day. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. They had a variety of different seating and brought out the flight all at once to pour and pace ourselves. We also got the chef board with both cheese and charcuterie. The soft onion cheese was our favorite. For the wine flight we were able to do a mixed one with whites and reds and a full white flight. We were there on a Thursday at the end of August so we missed the weekend rush. It was by far our favorite on the wine trail. The landscaping was beautiful and their patio was very welcoming. We chose to go with flights and the cheese tray. Both very enjoyable. Their whites were good but we typically go for reds. Their Syrah was very good so we bought a bottle and cab which the staff recommended. We were not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and the place was very clean. Great winery. It is so relaxing to come to this winery and sit outside for their flights. Every single wine I tried was absolutely delicious. You will not go wrong buying any of the white or reds that they produce. I am not a big goat cheese fan, but I did try the charcuterie board with the different type of cheeses, including the soft goat lemon cheese and it was fantastic. I could have spent about 3 hours there just relaxing. We came here because our hotel offered a wine tasting package, and the receptionist highly recommended it along with 3 other wineries. "People told me it's beautiful there". She wasn't lying! The view within the vineyard was very nice. The tasting room has a nice patio area, and the kitty, named Lily, roamed around making sure all guests were taken care of! The surrounding view was wonderful, and the mountain in the background made for a picturesque setting. The staff was very friendly and gave us helpful local tips for activities and restaurants. Unfortunately, we are not really red wine drinkers, and there was only one white on the tasting menu. But, if you like reds and a beautiful afternoon view, this is for you. read more

Quaint, boutique winery with beautiful grounds. We ordered two flights with the chef board, and that is such a fun treat. It came with all sorts of cheeses, meats, and interesting spreads with things like liver, garlic, and cranberries. While we waited, we went to visit the mini horse, ducks, and donkey, all eager to say hi. The outside seating is nice, complete with fire pits, heat lamps, and lots of soft blankets. We drove out to Wooldridge Creek Winery, a beautiful facility with a lovely view down the Applegate Valley. After ordering the Chef's Platter (a charcuterie board) and a flight of reds, we stepped outside to the tasting area and found that it was over run with dogs. One couple bought 4! dogs which were sitting under or around the table. We found a table as far away from the dogs as possible, but every time a new owner arrived with a dog, the result was barking and bedlam. We finally moved to an area near the loading dock but even in that area there was a small nervous dog which barked at the approach of every strange dog. If you want enjoy wine in a convivial setting with other people but not dogs, my advice is to avoid this winery and any others where they allow pets into the tasting area. There are plenty of savvy winemakers in this state who understand that allowing doggie to attend a wine tasting often results in a "bark fest," and the resulting cacophony of noise is simply not conducive to the enjoyment of or sales of their fine wines. Was the wine and food good? Possibly. But sadly, the takeaway memory I have of this vineyard is tinted by an impression of a dog kennel atmosphere. read more

This was our favorite winery of the three we visited today. Every single staff member was friendly and happy to help. We even spent some time chatting with the winemaker. The winery is in a beautiful setting with tables and umbrellas and gorgeous views. We enjoyed every wine we tasted - enough that we became club members. We also had the Chef's board platter which was delicious. We ate every bite! The only hiccup is that we were incorrectly charged but they corrected it as soon as we brought it to their attention. It is hard to find a winery where you really like several of the red wines. With Wooldridge Creek we found exactly the bold yummy reds that we were looking for. We visited for the second time on our road trip to Oregon, having visited four years ago. This is one of our favorite wineries to visit anywhere. The various wines are excellent, and the staff is incredibly friendly. But in addition to the outstanding wine, Wooldridge is also a creamery and this combination of winery/creamery is what makes this establishment extra special. My HH and I are absolutely smitten with the Enchanted Forest cheese they make and serve. The tasting room is beautiful, but they have gorgeous gardens and a beautiful area outside for tastings as well. We arrived during crush time and it was fun to see the picked grapes piled in a heap ready to go to the crushing area. Everyone was being COVID cautious and it felt very comfortable. We hope to be lucky enough to return again someday. read more

The drive out to this winery is kind of far but worth it because the scenic views on the way are nice (Oregon is so green! #nodrought) I highly recommend the wine tasting/flight and charcuterie board. Both are amazing. Wine tasting comes with 3 whites and 3 reds. I even ended up buying one of the white wines. If you buy two bottles, they comp the tasting. The charcuterie board is amazeballs -- 3 different cheeses, 3 different meats, crackers, spiced almonds, mustard and some mysterious but delicious fig thing. What an absolutely lovely place. The ambiance is so wonderful. The wines were good and we only had one we didn't really care for. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful day. There are teapots in different places that add a whimsical touch. We had our grandson with us and he loved going down to look at the animals when he got a little fussy. The adorable kitty onsight loves to get some rubs and we enjoyed giving them! After reading some of the other reviews I am sad to say that we didn't get any of the cheese or charcuterie. This is a really beautiful setting and the winery has very good service (thanks, Josh). Favorites were the Oso Frio (late harvest Chardonnay) and a late harvest Zin. For the other wines I really wasn't bowled over but maybe that's me as other people like them. Unfortunately we had just had lunch so we skipped trying cheese boards but we'll be back.
