Robbie is a local gem! We went on the Premier tour and it did not disappoint. The tour was so personalized to what we were looking for. Robbie seems to know everyone, everywhere you go. Great treatment at each of the wineries and visiting places we wouldn't have known to go to. This is the second tour I've done with Robbie and both have been different but both amazing. She always goes above and beyond for each of her tours. Book a tour!

This was one of the best tours I have been on. The Red Lily Vineyard was the most picturesque setting I have seen. And the Quady North Vinyard might just be my new favorite wine. Our driver was friendly, informative, and so accommodating. Well worth taking this tour!!!!

The owner/ Operator, Robbie Ross, picked us up , at home, for our 5 hour tour. There were just three of us. She arrived at precisely the time she said she would . She set the three-winery itinerary according to our requests. Wine tasting fees were included in the price. The Hopper van is comfortable with easy in & out. Robbie provided us all with nice water bottles we could keep. At each winery she made sure we were comfortable, & had everything we needed, before leaving us to enjoy the wines and ambiance . She kept us on time, without pressuring us. We all loved our afternoon & it will be a lovely memory for a long time to come. Prices are reasonable & I highly recommend

What a view! Beginning of the journey.

A transplant town(s)for many Californians and home to generations of locals, this valley is full of back to nature, anti-establishment, mind your business and I will mind mine, type of folks. From Grants Pass, known for it's climate, home of my personal favorite, Dutch Bros Coffee and the iconic Hellgate Canyon down to Ashland's very own Shakespeare Festival, the historic Jacksonville's Britt Festival and pathway to Applegate lake and it's growing wine country, across the valley to Eagle Point and Shady Cove with some of the best cold water rafting you will find. This is truly a hidden treasure. It's not a booming metropolis in terms of monetary standards, but for someone in search of nature, fresh mountain air, clean rivers and lakes, Southern Oregon is a community based on quality over quantity and locally grown products and services. In terms of spiritual enrichment and life satisfaction, one could easily argue the value of life leans more toward these things than expensive chains and name brand clothing. The Rogue Valley has grown significantly since I lived there over a decade ago. The old pear orchards are now vineyards, the industrial areas are now shops and breweries. There are actually a couple of bars open later than 9pm. With growth has come growing pains and Southern Oregon is no stranger to the issues that come with a growing population. The valley has always had a challenge with jobs and offered little opportunity for average middle class families to find sustainable work. Unless you own your own business, are independently wealthy or have decided to retire from another state (California), there's not much in the way of work. Hopefully, as the valley continues to grow, so will the job opportunities for the locals. So yes, there's more to Oregon than Portland and Nike, but the general ideals are the same. Live free. Live clean. Live happy. I'm proud to be a granola girl from Oregon!

There is another wine tour co in the area that is a "hop on/hop off" type tour but w/RVWT you can stay as long or as little as you want. Terry who grew up in this part of Oregon is the nicest, friendliest person and took my sister and me to some incredible places and made sure that we went to at least one winery that served food. We took the Bear Creek tour on a Thurs and enjoyed it so much we booked the Applegate Valley tour for the following Sunday! It was such a great value for a very private and personalized tour.We hope to take another tour w RVWT in March. If you're thinking of going wine tasting you should really check them out! Last year we celebrated our same event at Belle Fiore in a private dining room that was perfect for our event. This year we were not in a private dining room. We were open to a large room where the general public sits with very loud music. Make no mistake, the music was Broadway Phil & the Shouters so it was GREAT -- but not appropriate for an elegant evening. Our server was wonderful. She was very attentive and made certain she took gracious care of everyone's needs. Her excellent service kept me from giving a lower rating. What contributed to a 2 star rating for this event was the fact that our bill was probably somewhere between $600 and $700, yet restaurant management declined to allow us to pay as couples or individuals with credit cards. Instead, management required all of us to bring cash -- even though we had no idea how much to bring to pay for our dinners and wine -- and for our president to have to collect the cash from everyone and count it several times to ensure that it was correct. In my opinion, collecting payment for a dinner is done by staff. This was insulting. As a member of the planning committee, I will not recommend that we hold future elegant evenings at Belle Fiore -- if that continues to be a requirement. It is utterly déclassé. There are other restaurants we can give our business to that understand excellent service. Clearly, management does not.

Once in Medford, everyone was telling us to go to Jacksonville, Oregon to look at the historic building and all the fun things to do there. We redirected there, it was only about a 15 min drive to Jacksonville. The downtown area was very cute, we saw a farmers market type event setup at City Hall. We parked and walked over to check out all the things the different booths were selling. We saw lots of unique things there like woodcarvings, pictures & paintings and even some food and drinks. After a short time we continued driving through all the neighborhoods, enjoying the different types of old homes.

The gold was played out so Jacksonvlle went into a big sleep which may not have been so good for the residents at that time, but in hindsight, Jacksonville went into suspended animation thus preserving the 19th century buidings intact. Strolling along California Street is like goIng back to the 1890's. You almost expect a barber shop quartet to be singing some old fashioned tunes, or player pianos playing in a saloon. In fact one saloon, J-Ville Tavern occupying the former Anderson & Glen General Merchandise Bldg, touts itself as a "Husband Daycare Center" for wives who want a break from their spouses. The barber shop still sports an old time barber pole w/ a dome light on top. The window displays spitoons & other objects from that bygone era. Jacksonville Lumber Company on a side street does reverse chic and displays a Pink Flamingo & artificial flowers as if to slyly make a reference to John Waters' infamous cult film by the same name. We found the Cheese Monger's Wife to be a great place to get Euro style sandwiches, local Rogue Creamery Blue Cheeses, Siskyou Wild Honey, Pistola Côte du Rhône style white wine. Their cheese board was an impressive exercise in aesthetic composition. The lady owner goes out of her way to inform her customers who are curious about the gourmet products that she stocks & sells. Nice two or three hours to soak up some Southern Oregon charm with a fin de dix-neuvième siècle ambience.
