Thankful for the good service from the waitress Hanna, the delicious food, family atmosphere

Our server Hannah was awesome! She was friendly and informative and made our birthday dinner memorable and fun. And the food was incredible; the chef and all of the servers also did a beautiful Peruvian rendition of happy birthday! read more

Izzy is the best waitress ever -- great background on Peruvian food and customs with very nice recommendations. First time for Peruvian food and we will be back often! read more

Amazing food. Our first time stopping in and our waitress was so attentive. The food was authentic as was the service. The owner made sure to check on us frequently and chat with us. We got to try their dulce de leche shortcake cookies which shouldn't be overlooked. We will definitely be back read more

So happy to have tried the Rex Llama! Great service and fresh delicious flavors! We will be back for sure!

Amazing food! The service was friendly and helpful with learning more about Peruvian food. Very clean facilities

Terrible! Do not recommend. I visited with my husband and parents because they were visiting. We were excited but the service was horrible, the owner was making fun of us because we ordered a dish with no onions. The lomo saltado was way too salty and when she asked we told her the truth to what she took offense and her response was: "had you even had Peruvian food before"! What kind of service is this! We have had Peruvian food many many times before we love it and this is NOT even close to what amazing Peruvian food should taste like! read more

We were very excited to see a Peruvian restaurant nearby and decided to try it to eat in. I do like places that don't have a big menu because it give me the feeling that food is fresh and they don't use leftovers for other dishes, the seasoning of the food was good, tamales for the price good size and good amount of meat but food was not hot more like a room temperature I could tell by the look of the food because we ordered a Pollo a la Brasa and the chicken skin looked dried like it was sitting out for a while. We ordered a pisco sour and a beer, pisco sour was good small but good, beer was flat I requested a new one and it was better but still tasted flat and I'm not sure if it is because they are opening the caps ahead of time even though they are twist off. Service was nice polite and quick, place is nice and clean and it wasn't crowded. If they can figure out the food temperature and that beer doesn't have to be open ahead I think the place has potential. I'll give it a try one more time. read more

Jaileth was absolutely amazing, and so helpful! She made sure we were taken care of the entire time and answered any questions we had! I will definitely be requesting her next time we go! read more

The food was amazing! If you are looking for authentic Peruvian food I highly recommend this restaurant. We had the tallarín a la huancaina with lomo, anticuchos, pulpo anticuchero. All the plates were good portions. The service was also great we were taken care of by Izzy and Melissa. They both made sure to check in on frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely be coming back! read more

If I could give a zero star I honestly would. The male owner of this store is super unfriendly/unpleasant, food was alright but because of the service the whole experience was just awful. He gives off a super disrespectful vibe and I will not be coming back because of how offended I am by the service. read more

The food was amazing! My family loved the papas a la huancaína and lomo saltado. The owners are really nice people and go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. Being half Peruvian, I appreciate having this delicious, flavorful ethnic food nearby. We'll definitely be back soon. read more

This place was amazing. Everything was so good. Service was great. I'm a big dessert person and the Peruvian Churros might be in my top 3 of favorite dessert all time. We'll be back read more

Not for us. We like speaking with a waiter, waitress or bartender before ordering, as we want to ask questions about dishes and drinks before deciding what we want. The whole concept of being directed to "sit anywhere", scan a QR code to view a menu, and then place your drink and food orders from your cell phone without any human interaction is cold and depressing. We decided to leave before ordering. We went to a restaurant where human employees greeted us, seated us, and spoke to us about the food. read more

Customer Service 101: If you're going to tell a group of diners that you are out of churros, but then bring churros out to another party of diners at an adjacent table about 15 minutes later, at least don't walk them past the people you just lied to! Will not be returning. read more

Wow, what a find! I had a business meeting and was browsing yelp for a restaurant in the lone tree/ park meadows area. The Red Llama popped up so I figured, why not try it out! Boy, am I glad we did. Everything was absolutely phenomenal! Experience, service and most importantly food! We all commented on how we had yet to try one thing that wasn't absolutely delicious and how flavorful all the dishes were. Also, the portion sizes were great, haha a little too much for me for lunch.... But the bright side was I had more for later. Our server Hannah was so knowledgeable and walked us through Peruvian food and gave us all such great recommendations! I feel like it's harder these days finding good service so I was absolutely blown away. Marisol the owner was so friendly and professional, you can tell how truly passionate she is about her restaurant which truly made the experience that much more enjoyable. My customers absolutely loved the experience and food, so thanks Red Llama! We will be back! read more

I had lunch here with a friend. Totally empty when we first got there but it started to fill up. We were both surprised at the prices for lunch. It turns out they have a limited menu as they have only been open for a month and they will continue to modify as things go along. The entrees were I believe all over 20 plus dollars which is steep for lunch. I would not go back for lunch. I ordered a stir fried rice dish with chicken. The aroma of the rice was wonderful and the taste was a mixture of a variety of spices unlike anything I have had. It was very tasty however the chicken tasted like plain poached chicken breast. Texture and flavor left something to be desired. We were provided a sample of a traditional Peruvian drink made from red corn and loaded with cinnamon and other spices. This is a good reason to come cack again. It was delicious and unique. In summary, I would come back for dinner in a few months to see if glitches have been worked out. read more

You owe it to yourself to visit this new little gem in Lone Tree. It's beautiful inside, and the husband & wife team who operate it delivered warm, attentive service, and truly delicious Peruvian cuisine. It felt like having dinner at a talented friend's house. The ceviche and fried rice dishes we ordered were heavenly, with a perfect amount of spice, and the fresh passion fruit and purple corn juices they brought out washed it all down perfectly. Go! read more

Saw a lot of good reviews for this place so husband and decided to check it out. I should have looked a bit more into it before we went since I'm a vegetarian and there were only a few choices BUT what I did have was lovely. It is on the pricey side entrees run about $26+. We ended up ordering 3 appetizers to share - my favorite was the fried yucca - nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a delicious sauce. We also tried the Papa a la Huancaina a cold potato dish, which was also very good - although think I expected more eggs than just a small hard boiled wedge. My husband enjoyed Salchipapa a sausage and potato dish - I did steal a couple of potatoes- he loved it. Since we didn't try an entree all I can say is it looked like the portions were very hearty. It was pretty busy but the staff did their best to check in with everyone - it was a little slow getting drinks and such but I believe that has more to do with it being new and it wasn't overly slow. The decor is simple but looks nice - you seat yourself and order from a QR code at the table. All in all it's a nice addition to the area. read more

Amazing cerviche. Will definitely go back and bring a friend. Cerviche was some of the best food I've ever had in my life.

The food and service was so good!! I ordered everything online with the QR code at the table and it made it so easy. I also paid on my phone as soon as I was finished. I will fs be back. read more

This is some of the best and most authentic Peruvian food on the front range. The Anticucho was fantastic. The staff and owners are friendly and efficient. This is on repeat for us. read more

Food took 45 mins. Very spread out too. Peruvian dishes are known for being spicy and they didn't have that as an option. I've been to restaurants in which an app is used to order food. Never had a problem. Servers just don't communicate within each other and it is chaotic. The. Eat thing about the restaurant was the decor. read more

The Red Llama just west of the Park Meadows Mall hits the trifecta for food, service and ambiance. Our most gracious server, Hannah, inquired whether this was our first time at the restaurant, and we said it was. She then brought each of us a different Peruvian drink sampler that was delicious. My wife ordered the unofficial Peruvian national dish of Lomo Saltado, which could have come with either chicken or beef, but we were advised to go with the more traditional beef option. Succulent pieces of beef strips came with potatoes all melded together in a wonderful sauce. A mound of rice accompanied this dish as well. I tried a different dish, Pollo a la Brasa, which was flame seared chicken that was exceptionally tender, and came with a mountain of greaseless French fries. One can order either a quarter, half or whole chicken, priced accordingly. A large fresh salad was also part of the deal. In addition, we were provided with three different dipping sauces, that I used on the salad and as a flavor enhancer on the fries. For dessert, we shared Peruvian Flan, called Crema Volteada on the menu. Outstanding, but not for those on a strict diet. Our server was tops and helpful from beginning to end. She even helped us box up our leftover food. The ambiance was a tasteful fusion of Peruvian culture and the owners' sense of style. Very comfortable place with terrific food and service. We have both dined at Peruvian restaurants in Colorado and New York City, and this was the best. read more
