Not the friendliest place in dalhart, tx! Staff is stingy with condiments and with coffee refills. Food takes forever to come out and doesn't come out together. The food is alright, nothing special. My wife's order was wrong but oh well. The place itself is cool located off the runway at the airport. This place is just ok. For a restaurant that isn't very busy, you would think that the food would be out fairly quick and done somewhat together so everybody can eat at the same time. It would also be nice to have white staff that didn't whisper to you and could crack a smile. read more

Haven't eaten at the Red Baron in a couple of years.. I was told that the restaurant was under new ownership or management not sure which one so we decided to give it a try.. the breakfast was very good !!! With all the good reviews on this restaurant my wife and I were looking forward to stopping here for breakfast. What a disappointment. At 9:00 am on Sunday there were only a couple other tables with people when we got there...I guess this should have clued us in to the coming disaster. We ordered our breakfast and everything we ordered was wrong or missing. I ordered a full breakfast; eggs, sausage, potatoes with a biscuit and sausage gravy. I received two eggs and a biscuit with cream gravy. Nothing else. When I inquired the waitress told me she would only charge for cream gravy instead of sausage gravy....never mind it wasn't what I ordered. So, I gave up, I ate my two eggs and left. When I paid my ticket the cashier didn't understand or didn't care that I didn't feel I should have to pay for something I didn't order or eat. Again, I gave up, paid and left. My wife's order was handled equally bad...she had to ask three times for her pancake that was supposed to come with her meal...finally showed up right before we left. This place may have good food...I can't tell by my experience and it's certainly a good looking facility...but unless the help improves I don't believe I will ever return. read more

Food was okay. I got the huevos rancheros and some French toast for the kids. I thought it'd be a quick stop - nope. So slow. Soooo, so slow. It took us an hour to get our food. We broke down and had to spend a few days in Dalhart TX. Found this jem of a restaurant on the outskirts of town by the Dalhart airport.. we watched a few planes take off. Our waitress was Nadia and she was so nice and knowledgeable. The food was wonderful. Try The Inflight omlette don't forget the homemade salsa served on the side. The sausage gravy with cowboy potatoes is a must. SO GOOD!! read more

If you are not in a hurry....it is ok, to stop here. My husband thought they should receive 3 stars, I was leaning strongly towards 2 stars but that was because his food was warm to hot and mine was warm-ish. He had the chicken fried steak and I had the potatoes and eggs. One waitress, at 10am on a Sunday, and one cook; I'm sure did not help matters. Drinks took time, if she remembered and in general just a lack of care. More staff came in at 11 but by then the morning rush died out. The reviews were mixed for a reason, so take that in consideration before dining here if in a rush on the weekend. Weekdays maybe a completely different story. read more

Absolutely the worst service. Waited over 1 1/2 hours from when we ordered to getting our food. Our order was wrong. Drink refills were did not exist. People were getting up and just leaving they had no food. We flew in so were captive and had no choice but to wait!! Do not recommend. read more

It's hard to find a good restaurant in this little town. We were traveling with the Babe's mom so I was trying to avoid fast food. The Red Baron showed up on Yelp with good reviews so we gave it a shot. While it was a bit out of our way, it was worth the trip. Everyone enjoyed our food and the view of the airport was pretty interesting. The only down side was the service was a bit off; not bad, just slow and inattentive because they were slammed. This is officially known as "The Red Baron Restaurant" and is located at the airport. We flew in here a couple of days ago for lunch on the way to California. The restaurant is located in a new airport building. A very nice and even upscale general aviation terminal. The restaurant has great views of the ramp and is first rate in design. The service was about the worst we have ever encountered at any restaurant. We were seated but forgotten for almost a half hour. Our drinks came but our server was preoccupied with the new display on the electronic display on the cash register. We had to grab another server to see where our order was. My hamburger was sent to another customer so had to wait another 20 minutes for another to be cooked. Fries were grossly overcooked and dry by the time they arrived. Zero tip from us. Nice facility but terrible service. Next table sent their food back three times but we could not wait that long. Made our arrival an hour late in Gallup, NM read more

To start off, flies can be seen around but it's clean otherwise. The service is okay, nothing excellent, our waitress was nice but, it took them almost an hour to serve our food. When we got it, most of our food was cold or crunchy, the pancakes I got where inedible! My other family member got Huevos rancheros, that was suppose to have Avocado, it did not have avocado and it was crunchy. Another family members got a omelet and it was cold food, raw potatoes, and was missing her country potatoes. While my children's food was not horrible, they got pancakes. They didn't have fruit so they got bacon and sausage, which where decent. The soda drink are flat and bitter, and the coffee was not horrible. I don't recommend it! read more

We stopped here yesterday. We were on a trip from Las Vegas to St. Louis and didn't know about "The Red Baron Restaurant" . What a great surprise. The service and food were first rate. The look of the place is outstanding. We arrived at peak lunch time on Saturday and service was quick and the food delicious. We'll be back. This place has just went down hill. The last time I placed an order nothing was rite this time we decided to go in for breakfast and it was worse. When we walked in at 839 am their were 3 tables being used. We sat ourself at the only available booth due to social distancing. Which mind I was dirty. It took 11 minutes to order our drinks and another 6 mins to get them. At which time we were informed we could not order yet. It took 3 times of me trying to get her attention to ask for a straw and clean the table. The waitress dropped the straw off and took off.we ordered our food at 913. This was the worst meal ever I ordered a loaded baked potatoe I got a ba y size potato with 4 shreds of cheese only one is actually in the potatoe, the hamburger was burnt on outside and middle was red.i ordered a chicken tender basket comes with fries gravy and toast. I've had the $7 lunch special here for 2 consecutive days and both were wonderful. Day 1 consisted of the Country Fried Steak, mashed potatoes, beans, and a dessert. Day 2 was a Philly Steak Sandwich, fries, and a great piece of chocolate pie. Definitely get good value for your money here and the service was also outstanding!! This is a great restaurant. We went here for breakfast on a Sunday. The food was great, the service was great, and the price was great. Our only issue was finding the place - Google directed us down a dirt road where we almost got stuck because it had rained the night before. That is obviously not the restaurants fault and our server said that happens to a lot of people. Just follow the signs to the airport and don't use Google maps!!! read more
