We flew in on friday and after some bbq headed over to this gun range. My bro had signed us up for the jungle ranger experience. We also tacked on the double ammo add-on (CUZ MORE BULLETS). Instead of Chris, Raine was our instructor for the day. Very nice guy. 10+ yrs as part of the US Marine Corps. We received an intro to range safety inside a classroom before heading over to the range. This was very much needed as both my dad and I have never held a gun before (my bro had already shot guns 3 times prior to this experience). There was a group of friends who took the class with us also happened to be tourists (from Brazil) which was cool. We all had a good laugh about how noob we were. Raine was an excellent teacher! The thing I had to get used to was the sound of the guns firing. Even w/ the ear muffs on it was quite loud so my ears took like 5 mins to adjust to it. Raine told me it was actually much louder for everyone around the shooter. I thought "no way" until I actually stepped up to shoot and then magically the bullet sounds got fainter LOL. Also, I did notice that for some of the guns I tended to aim lower than I was supposed to. Something I'll look to improve! Overall, super fun activity and would do it again the next time I'm in town. Raine also happened to be a Cowboy's fan!

Following that I signed up for 1 on 1 training with John. I got sick a couple days before & tried to reschedule. The app on the website didnt have that functionality so I called. They couldnt figure it out either but required me to pay 50% anyway. Their app doesnt work so I was forced to pay $50 for a lesson where I would likely get the instructor sick. Rather than reschedule, I will just cancel and find another range. disappointed!

I'm also a gold member and that means being treated like gold. I walk in and they treat me like family. they have a decent rental selection for pistols, and it's only 25 bucks for a 5 dollar rental and about 20 bucks for a box of 9mm. they are very calm when you break a rule (I've only broken minor rules only, nothing major) and won't threaten to kick you out, but in a gentle way give you a warning and tell you what to correct. if you need a new range to call home then eagle is the place to go! also if you need a handgun lesson like I did, request Jesse, he did a great job and is the reason I shoot like I do. Everyone on staff is kind and helpful, so if you need a rental recommendation or even a short therapy session, just ask!

Used to go to shoot smart to the private lanes but not a big fan of the indoor ranges. They had plenty of open areas for a 25, 50 and higher distance. As well as a handgun section on the opposite side. We didnt have to wait on either side for access to a spot. They were very good amount the gun safety and making sure everyone was responsible with not only the time to change targets but also with making sure people properly were facing their rifles when down not in the wrong directions. This was my worry at a public outdoor range, but they were on top of it and highly appreciate it. Only downside is no FMJ rifle ammo allowed. So you either have to pay a lot for a box through them or stock up prior to. There was a small group of young people trying to one hand shoot to "be cool" which was kind of irritating, more because of the stupidity factor. But most people at least on the rifle side you could tell are gun enthusiasts who care about their shot and their weapon. Definitely my new go-to range.
