Been here several times and every time I've enjoyed my meal. This is a no frills bar that keeps it…read moresimple. When you walk in there's a bar in the center of the room and seating along the walls/area. They have draft beers, specialty cocktails, and a full bar so there's something for everyone. They have daily specials and a straightforward menu. My only complaint would be wanting a larger variety of Irish foods but I understand for a bar you want to have a smaller menu that you do well. Reading as always is fundamental. There are numerous signs but I'm also reiterating kids are not allowed past a certain hour so if you're trying to come with kids PLEASE plan accordingly. We've had the Reuben eggrolls, corned beef burger, cheeseburger, pretzels, turkey sandwich, and the pretzels for dessert. I absolutely recommend the Reuben eggrolls, corned beef sandwich, beer cheese, and the cinnamon sugar pretzels with blueberry cheesecake dip. I don't know who or how that dessert was made up, I never thought I'd like it, but I'm actually obsessed with it. I will continue to be back to try more foods

People are friendly but a little dark. Definitely more of a bar in the evenings, but a great, easy-going spot for lunch on the weekends.. Yum!

Morrison's Irish Pub - Alton, IL…read more We finally stopped into Morrison's and it delivered that cozy, old-world Irish pub charm you want when you walk through those doors. I had the Irish cheese sandwich, Justin went with the corned beef -- and both were genuinely good. Comforting, hearty, and exactly what you hope for in a pub meal. Now... the kitchen was moving a bit slow this visit. Was it noticeable? Yes. Was it worth the wait? Also yes. Because Sam -- the female bartender -- absolutely made the experience. Fun, engaging, and the kind of personality that makes you feel like you're already a regular even if it's your first visit. That kind of service turns a "slow day" into a good memory. The menu is packed with authentic Irish favorites, and honestly, next time we're absolutely going to lean fully into the classics -- because this feels like a place that does traditional comfort food right. One small wish: I really wish they made their own chips. The bagged chips were a little lackluster and felt like a missed opportunity next to an otherwise hearty, made-with-care menu. Overall: a great spot that was likely just having an off day -- and still absolutely worth your time. Don't leave without ordering the pear cider. It is absolutely fabulous. Bright, crisp, lightly sweet, and dangerously drinkable. We'll be back -- and we're coming hungry.

Fries and house made chips are good too but heavily seasoned. I enjoyed my chicken wings. The grouper sandwich smelled extremely fishy (possibly had gone bad) and we couldn't eat it. Overall, 4.0+ rated experience for homemade foods, friendly service, relaxed ambience and a great meeting spot for family or friends! Expect to pay $13-15pp for a meal. Today I tried a bowl of creamy Potato Soup, topped with Bacon and Cheese - delicious! Oh yea, paired well with a cold brew too. For entrees, ordered the Bert's house burger (combo chuck/brisket/short rib) with Swiss and Mushrooms - hits the spot! Comes with a generous portion of fresh cut fries yum! Also ordered a French Dip (to-go), with shaved beef, Swiss, au jus and a horseradish cream. They were light-staffed today, so service was slower, but with a good pint and decent food, just relax and enjoy the atmosphere! Many other menu items to choose, so I will return soon to try their other mouth-watering meals. ENJOY!

Can you get more St. Louis than an Irish Bar located in the Soulard area of St. Louis? I guess I…read moreshould say pub. I told my son I have never been here in my life. I ordered their pork chop, which came with asparagus and layered potatoes. The pork chop was served with a chutney sauce made from apricot, black, and golden raisins. This pork chop is somewhat unique to St. Louis; it's a huge bone-in chop, nothing in Naples, FL can compare. My chop was cooked perfectly. Now, as to never being here, I am exiting the building. There is a small dining area with an Irish band playing. I turned to my son and said I had been here before, pointed to the table I sat at, and told him I had Irish stew. It was in my drinking days, and I am sure I sang all the tunes with the band.

We were seated and it was even busier. It took some time to order drinks and even longer to order and receive our food. Nothing unreasonable especially given the sheer amount of people there. But guess what we enjoyed our table conversations while the drinks were routinely refreshed and when the food arrived it was perfect. While "just basic bar sandwiches and a burger " everything was prepared as ordered. The appropriate temps. Mostly importantly it was just good tasting. Hats off to the cooks and the service providers! Impressive
