Had a group lunch here with the National Parks Travelers Club after visiting St. Genevieve National Historical Park. They put out a very nice buffet spread for us. Everything tasty and plentiful. Plenty of space for our large group

Rare apple glazed pork chop. Ugh.

Was disappointed this time. Never had pork served rare...very gross. Portion sizes were less than usual and the spaetzel was inedible and also gross. Sad to give negative review but it's honest. Wine pour was decent, beer was good but the old fashioned was not good. Well, We used to go there randomly on road trips, like today, but will try other places going forward. $95 with tip...rather discouraging to ever go again. ‍

In researching places to visit, stay and eat in St. Genevieve after visiting the Cave Winery, the Audubon came up at the top of the list. I read the information about the location and was intrigued by it's history and the menu looked delicious. We weren't terribly hungry as we had a big breakfast, but I still wanted to try some of the food. We were on the early side if dinner so we were able to get a table qithout reservations. We got the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp Served Over Risotto and Topped with Honey Mustard and Green Onions and House Feature - French Onion Topped with Swiss, Garlic Croutons, & Parmesan. Both were so delicious and savory. The service was great and staff super friendly. Very glad we stopped in for a snack.

Audubon's is one of the nicer restaurants in St. Gen. Wife had the salmon on the plank that was a little dry and my sample of her meal was dry too. I had the steak that was what I thought on the thinner side but it was tasty. The shrimp-bacon appetizer with risotto appetizer was the best and highly recommended. Wine selection was average and okay. Staff was very friendly and reservations are recommended during the nice weather. Try it if you are in Sainte Gen and want a nicer place to dine.

The food was really good. I had the chicken salad and can say the chicken was cooked great. Not dry and not so juicy that it made the lettuce wilt. By far though the onion soup stole the show though. Our server walked by our table every time they went to their station but didn't keep up with drinks until you had to make that awkward eye contact and raise your glass.

I went here the other day with a friend for our monthly fabulous feast. The large is large, clean, open, and bright. Friendly staff. I first ordered a baked potato, only to be told they were out of potatoes. Then I ordered a pizza with cheddar cheese and olive oil garlic sauce (something different), but they brought out a mozzarella pizza and an apology. In the interest of time, I ate the pizza, and it was very good; they comped part of the meal. I'd definitely return to Audubon's.

Came here for lunch, service was great. Friendly. Food also no complaints had French onion soup very good salad and added a chicken breast sweet tea total cost $19.11. Little pricey but worth it. They have hotel rooms upstairs. Perfect place to stay and do wineries they even have a shuttle for that.

Kendall did such a wonderful job with all of our orders and the food was phenomenal. This is probably the best food I've ever had at a winery. This is not a basic cheeseboard. It might be the only remaining good deal in dining out, thanks to a certain individual who shall not be named--though he's probably taking a nap right now anyway. LOL It would probably help if you were wearing running clothes. If you showed up in business casual attire, they might think you were trying to pull a fast one. If you wanted to, you could even take a lap around the block. You know, build up an appetite, not to mention thirst. It's a fine park and seemingly a lovely area, despite being in the city. It has an old-timey charm that my native West County (obvs) is sorely lacking. Who would have ever thought, a beer garden in a public park? Some parks, they don't even want you to stand around and drink beer. Or so I've been told. Is the price keeping this place from being overrun with the local "unhoused" population? BYOB is strictly prohibited, per signs posted near the seating area, though there didn't seem to be any cops nearby. I checked, natch. If you have the means, there's not much you could bring that's on a par with what's on offer. Let it be known: The fare at Rockwell Beer Garden is wholly superior to a Jack's frozen pizza and a 32 oz can of Miller High Life, though the pizza is disturbingly similar-looking to the former. Really, if I had to describe it, I'd say it's an elevated Jack's frozen pizza. It's roughly the same size. It's cut into squares, but it's not St. Louis style. The cheese is not provel. (Boo!) It's mozzarella. It's seemingly of a high quality and generously applied. The crust is similarly thin, but not quite as crisp, except at the edges, which are a bit burned, giving it a classy, artisanal vibe. It's not the best pizza you can get from a local brewery, but it's better than it looks. (They can quote me on that, if they want to.) I asked the young brother working the register if he had a recommendation for beer. He seemed stumped, like he's never drunk a beer before. He may have been there on a mission. I did see a row of bicycles nearby. On a whim, I went with something called Son of Juice, which calls to mind both Son of Bazerk and the guy who actually did the scratches on Nation of Millions (just nod along like you know what I'm talking about). After I ordered, the girl standing next to him recommended it to someone else, so I knew I'd made a good choice. She described it as citrus-y. It had a vibe similar to orange juice but with less tang than you'd expect from something described as citrus-y. Which I appreciated. It's also a bit higher gravity than you'd think for something with a fruity flavor. It would make for a tasty breakfast. And an economical one, once you factor in the discount.

Hundreds of Hops US Hop Passport Amazing Brewery Race Stop 30 (1 of 18 for Missouri)…read more Having scoped out the menu a bit first, to make sure we wouldn't starve, we popped into our first Missouri Brewery in the big book. We loved the building and dining/ bar area. It had lovely character and begged to tell a story. The hubby got an IPA, not my type so no rating from me. I opted for the blood orange and found it to be a solid choice. It was refreshing, effervescent and had no artificial/chemical taste or aftertaste. The service was really good - no complaints there. While we usually pick an app and a meal to share, I was itching for the dark meat fried chicken. Since it's all you can eat, (or should be), there's no sharing. The hubby got a burger with maple syrup for himself. The chicken was delish & piping hot! The broccoli was tasty but not to temp. The mashed potatoes and gravy would fall under almost inedible - old, cold. But I was there for the chicken & the chicken was on point. Sadly, directly after my plate was dropped off, the table behind us was told they were out of chicken. Now, all you can eat Sunday fried chicken being sold out at 540p is a bit odd. I assumed they did a stop sell because they were running low. I found out a short time later that they were truly out of dark meat... as they offered me a wing. Thankfully, I can't eat more than what it came with (3pc). The hubby was disappointed that the maple syrup wasn't maple, rather maple flavored. Otherwise, he was happy with his food. He also ate my final piece of chicken though & agreed it was the winner... Winner Winner (all you can eat) Chicken Dinner! *only on Sundays, if timed correctly ; ) I'd say 3.5 stars overall, but bumping up to 4 because the beer easily hit the mark & it's what we were there for... plus, that chicken. The smash burger was another standout -- great crust on the patty, juicy inside, and stacked just right. Even the pretzel bites were a hit with the kids (and let's be honest, the adults too). And the blood orange beer? Fantastic. Crisp, refreshing, and just enough citrus to make it interesting without being overpowering. It was the perfect post-game drink. Great atmosphere, great service, and legitimately good food. If you're anywhere near Main & Mill -- especially with a team or a group -- it's a win. We'll absolutely be back.
