This is a neat place with good food. The building is old and really neat inside. I love these type of places. The staff was friendly. We got in at the right time. It filled up right after we got there. It wasn't the fastest place to eat but wasn't unreasonable. The pizza is fancy, but good. I wasn't expecting that. I'm guessing we could have ordered a regular pepperoni or something like that, but we went with the Godfather and Margarita. Both were excellent. Spinach artichoke dip was fantastic. I was in Farmington with some friends for the parade at Country Days. It took longer than we were expecting and we were hungry and ended up at Old No 102 for dinner. We got sat outside immediately which was great! The table shared the focaccia and French fry appetizers. I ordered the Twice Baked Potato Pizza (Garlicky mashed potatoes + bacon + red onion + mozzarella + cheddar + green onion). Really enjoyed the toppings. Fun pizza menu right in downtown Farmington. Located in a quaint small town, I walked in and was immediately met by old world style and the amazing smell of wood fired pizza. I started with a glass of their house Pinot Grigio which was crisp and refreshing, and a St Louis and Missouri tradition, toasted ravioli. This is amazing! The food was amazing! We ordered two pizzas, the Woodsman (white sauce with sirloin and mushrooms) and the Caprese. We shared an order of the Arancini ( fried risotto balls in red sauce). I chose this place to meet up with my cousin who just bought a place in Farmington. The drive from Ballwin was well worth it. I would definitely go back. Loved it! We were passing through town and realized we were hungry, and picked this place without knowing anything about it. What a great surprise! We sat at the bar & chatted with the bartender as he deftly served us, prepped garnishes, and reduced a chocolate-peanut-butter beer down to a scrumptious-smelling sauce that he uses in cocktails. We had beers and pizza, but will be back to work through the creative cocktail menu. Great waiter! Pizza crust was delicious and sausage and bacon very tasty. Side salad was fresh and the white balsamic vinaigrette was refreshing. I enjoyed it very much. We had an order of toasted ravioli which was very good and fried just right. The only negative comment would be that the cup holding the sauce for our ravioli needed to be bigger to dip the ravioli in. The decor was really nice and fit the name. Parking in back was adequate. Loved this restaurant! This is in an old building in downtown Farmington. There is lots of seating and a very long bar. The wait staff was helpful, attentive and friendly. We were there early on a Thursday around 5:00pm. Practically had the whole place to ourselves. I did a build your own pizza and my wife had the keto pizza in a bowl. We shared an appetizer of arancini which is deep fried risotto. It had a marinara balsamic sauce over it that was yummy. I did my pizza with cauliflower crust and this was the best cauliflower crust I've ever tasted, anywhere. It was seasoned and tasted like it had herbs baked in. Wonderful. My first visit here in 2019 showed me how far Farmington has come wrt dining out. Artisan pizza. Craft beer. Nice open space, not too noisy. We left happy. We returned a few weeks ago. While the place looked the same, our experience could not have been more different--or disappointing. We called for a reservation, but got the only table with the restroom and kitchen entrances on one side and the booming loudspeaker set up for trivia night on the other. We asked to move. Nope. A server took our drink orders. We waited. We waited some more. The first drink took 10 minutes. Our server came to get our food order & we ordered another drink. We waited. A second drink arrived. More waiting. I looked around. The place wasn't busy. Just before the food came (probably 20 minutes from ordering), my beer showed up. Later, the last drink straggled in, ice melted. It had been sitting somewhere... for a while. Food--I give the menu props for innovative pizza combos. Crust was a little thicker than most wood-fired pies, plenty chewy. I liked it. Sauce could be more assertive. My bare bones pep/mush did me right. Our friend enjoyed her Caesar salad. I do not recommend ordering prosciutto on your pizza. What came out looked borderline and had a taste all its own. Beer list--Plenty adequate. I enjoyed a solid coffee porter and tasty saison. Ambiance--See above. Our reward for making a reservation was the worst table in the house. Conversation was difficult during trivia, but impossible once it was over, replaced by ear-splitting music. A parade of staff (mostly masked) and patrons (no masks) bumped my chair or back on their way to the kitchen or toilet. Service--Terrible. Drinks should not come 20 minutes apart, let alone with melted ice. I ran out of water before my beer arrived and got no more. I'm not sure if anyone checked on us between food arrival and the check. SMH--The chocolate Martini tasted like it was made with Hershey's syrup. We asked the bartender. Indeed, it is. Hershey's syrup. YMMV. 2.5 stars overall. This is the only game in town for respectable artisan pizza with a solid Midwest craft beer selection, but the mostly absent service, noise level, and table location made this a meal to endure, not to enjoy. read more

When we finished, it was lunchtime, so we we're searching the local options and came across 102 Taphouse and had a great experience. Ethan and team have put together an interesting menu with an impressive list of wood fired pizzas. We started with the Arancini (deep fried risotto) which was delicious. My wife had the Sun dried Tomato Chicken and I went with The Woodsman pizza with sirloin steak and wild mushrooms on Alfredo sauce. Both were amazing. Downtown Farmington, Missouri probably isn't a place that many would expect to find such a fun and funky place. However, the past several years has seen a distinct change in the landscape of this once sleepy settlement. With several regional and national beers on tap, and some very good pizza choices, this restaurant/bar is a great addition to the scene. My husband and I were in town recently for a hiking trip to nearby Hawn State Park, and needed a place to grab a casual dinner that wasn't fast food. We'd been here before with family, and knew that the pizzas were on point, but opted to try something different on this visit. We split a Pistachio Arugula salad and The Aviary and the Muffy the Vampire Slayer sandwiches. The sandwiches were OK, but the salad was the star of the show. The greens were actually green, the toppings were fresh and the dressing was very tasty. The big-windowed, industrialish space is wide open with high ceilings that seem to accentuate sound. It wasn't terribly busy when were were there, but there was a large, boisterous group of 'ladies who lunch' at the communal table behind us. I could see how it might get pretty loud if there were more groups of this size, or just more people in general, inside. It's cool vibe though, so just don't expect an intimate, whisper filled rendezvous and you won't be disappointed. read more

They have unique wood fired pizzas or you can build your own. We had the woodsman, Alfredo steak, mushrooms, mozzarella and blue cheese. Very tasty. Our drinks (1 special margarita, 1 beer flight, 1 beer), appetizer (loaded tater tots), and entree (one of their specialty pizzas) were all very good, and the service was great. However, we ordered a slice of their chocolate cake as our dessert to take home, expecting it would be a Very Good Thing for us to split at home, considering the price of $9 or so -- but we didn't open our cake container until after we were back home ... so imagine our disappointment to see we'd bought a very small, almost "miniature" slice of chocolate cake! Since we didn't open our cake container until after we were back home, we couldn't discuss this with management. (Lesson learned!) Yes, it was a tasty three or four bites of cake, but far from worth the price ... I'll say again, of $9 or so. For that price, it should have been at least twice, or more reasonably, THREE times the size of what was in the box. (Seriously, if the whole cake was as few as 8 such slices ... and if really estimate it would be 9 or 10, or more likely, 12 of these from one cake) ... the "whole" cake would be $70 - $100+.) We were very disappointed by this "miniature" finish to our meal. The stars are for the overall experience - but that slice of cake should be 1 star for "over-priced." read more
