Stopped here while heading west. A nice alternative to your chain restaurants. Good beer selection! Raftered ceiling with sports bar vibes. Food was pretty standard. A few tweaks could've gone a long way, but better than typical bar food.

I really want to love the new mcdills ...I've tried it a few times now and it's just fell short for me. Maybe I need to try going when we can sit outside? The service was just ok...we had to ask for silverware a few times and it took a while for her to come back around. We got the hot ham and cheese sandwich. Again it was just ok. Not a lot going on with it. Now the Gouda Mac and cheese bites are still as good as they have always been! All in all it's close to home and they must be doing something right because they're always crowded. I'm sure we will try it again and hopefully upgrade my review.

Great Irish Pub, all five of us enjoyed our dinner here and talked about coming back with our friends or families. We had nice weather so the front patio was great to hang out on. The patio is dog friendly. The table service staff was very nice and polite. We had two ribeye steak sandwiches, the fried cod dinner, chicken wings and the fried green beans appetizer. The food was all really good! The draft beer was super cold and even the dark Guinness hit the spot on a hot day and I love a pub that makes a good half and half (black and tan). I think the place is relatively new, or at least updated, the parking lot has expanded since the last time I was there and the inside of the restaurant looked nice and was clean. They open the garage doors and let air flow throughout on a nice weather day. Thanks for the great dinner!

So we used to go here pre re build and it was kind of a dump. A dump with good food, good service and a nice dive bar feel. NOW it is super nice and has a killer patio with the same good food and service! We went here randomly on the way home from a hike yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the new spot. Def go check it out. Nice restrooms, nice dart area and great bar too.

A group of us were going to see a play at the Historic Miner's Theater, so we met here beforehand to have dinner. GREAT choice! The food was DELICIOUS, the service was EXCEPTIONAL, and the space was really nice too! Our food came out quickly, we were able to talk amongst ourselves (NOT obnoxiously loud!), and the prices were reasonable too! Would love to come back when it's warmer and sit out on their front deck.

It's an alright place. I've been to their old location a couple times before they built their new building and opened last year. Truthfully, I liked it better at their old place but I understand it's likely that they used government money to build themselves a new place to shed off their "dive" image. But the new building is decent too. It's like everything is in one room, except the bathrooms and gambling rooms. They also have a small outdoor patio in front. 90s on 9 was blasting inside. Food was alright, like I said it had been awhile since I was at McDill's (before the pandemic) and thought I'd visit them again. Of course as expected, prices went up like everywhere else. I had the Black and Bleu Burger and fries, along with $1 wings. Burger was huge and filling, and had lots of blue cheese on it (which I prefer!). Fries were so-so. They were served on fancy plates. Was not blown away by the wings, as they were just average. I get it that chicken wings have gone up in price all over, but I felt the $1 was a ripoff for what I got. Sorry, just thought they were going to be huge! I'd probably return if I were with a friend or group. Seems like a laid-back place with a full bar, and I wish them well on their new chapter.

Was so excited to try the Re-opening of the Bew McDills. The New building is great..but the old one had charm as well. The wait was about 40 minutes so we ponied up to the Bar for drinks and Appetizers. If you love Whiskey/Bourbon this is your place!!! They have a great variety. The Mac n Cheese bites we very good. I couldn't wait to order The Irish Egg Rolls.. these are like Reuben Sandwiches rolled up and fried.. with Thousand Island for dipping. My Guinness Burger was good.. a little dry and could use some type of cheese sauce? The Roast Beef French Dip is Highly Recommended!! Our Friends had the Boneless Wings Reverse style... Garlic Parm then drizzled with Hot sauce... and a Fried chicken Salad.. both very good. Head to Collinsville for great food and atmosphere.

Food. Fantastic Service was GREAT! you can see how hard she is working to cover everyone on a afternoon and the porch is perfect for a beautiful day outside! Which we got to enjoy! I highly recommend the egg rolls! They are a personal enjoyment for the first time I had them. Extra sauce of course! We will be back!

    Rueben.. Burnt and greasy.

I had the Irish Maid (St. Germain + cucumber + lemon = YES) and it was half off--just $6! We also shared a half bottle of bubbly because hydration, obviously. The food? It's basic bar fare, nothing to write home about but totally fine for snacking. The fried pickle chips were golden and crispy, and the loaded fries were covered in melty cheese and bacon--exactly what you want after a cocktail or two. The vibe is dark and cozy, with a classic Irish pub feel. Plenty of seating, TVs everywhere, and a laid-back atmosphere. Service was friendly but chill. Would I go back? 100%. It's not groundbreaking cuisine, but it's a fun, affordable spot for drinks and bites. Great for catching up with friends or kicking off a low-key night out. Tip: Come during happy hour. The cocktails are worth it, and your wallet will thank you. #TheSassySaint #HappyHourWin #YelpEliteEnergy #EdwardsvilleEats #CocktailsAndCravings

Of the rest of us, one ordered the fish and chips, one ordered the corned beef and cabbage, and I ordered the Rueben with fries. I totally forgot to take pictures, so that's a bummer, because everything was not only quite tasty but presented well. I tried all three of these plates, and I would order any of them again. I had the Irish cheese sandwich, Justin went with the corned beef -- and both were genuinely good. Comforting, hearty, and exactly what you hope for in a pub meal. Now... the kitchen was moving a bit slow this visit. Was it noticeable? Yes. Was it worth the wait? Also yes. Because Sam -- the female bartender -- absolutely made the experience. Fun, engaging, and the kind of personality that makes you feel like you're already a regular even if it's your first visit. That kind of service turns a "slow day" into a good memory.
