They run the place with a no-nonsense efficiency. I came at off hours. The corn beef is lean and deliciously full of rich beef and spices (mustard seed, black pepper, and maybe coriander?) on warm rye, softly cradling the spicy brown mustard encased beef. The potato salad is like a cool l, creamy, and savory puree: my favorite potato salad of all time. The sandwich, potato salad and pickle (if only it were a half sour) is every bit as good as Langers in Los Angeles, a landmark for New York deli, but 1/16th as crowded. The dining area has fewer than ten tables. I hope it's always here when I return.

DeVeglio's will definitely be my go to for Italian hoagies. The potato salad was equally delicious and a definite reorder in the future. I will have to report back on the homemade Raviolis as they will be eaten for dinner soon. The store had plenty of parking, was extremely clean and well organized and the staff was friendly and helpful.

at the ripe hour of 11am, my family and i decided to eat a delicious meal of coconut shrimp at the quarterdeck only to find that it no longer exists. rather than be outraged that the menu has, in fact, changed over the past decade, i decided to order the bam bam shrimp instead. in all honesty, it may have been even better than the coconut shrimp because the sauce had such a delectable sweet flavor. i also enjoyed the frozen drink that i chose, the red white and shine. the only true complaint i have is that the karaoke host from ten years ago is also gone, however i doubt this is the fault of the quarterdeck. i do hope he is still alive. i miss the funny little man with the funny hat. the new blue paint makes me feel joyous inside, as i enjoy the colors found in south carolina as a whole. read more

This establishment has fed my family for decades, and upon our delayed return I learned they discontinued the coconut shrimp on their menu. Truly this is the biggest loss our nation has suffered since the loss of Wendy's sweet and sour sauce. The staff are still polite and I appreciated how they put pool noodles on the flat screen tvs so you wouldn't hit your head. I will return the two stars from this review if the coconut shrimp returns. read more
