Susan is just flat out amazing when it comes to cooking!! She has been cooking meals for my husband and I for over a year now and the food is absolutely mouth watering every single time. I send her menu ideas if what I'm in the mood for that month and she is able to modify everything to accommodate some of my food allergies and make them taste so wonderful and the plus side is she does all the shopping for the ingredients and uses the BEST most fresh ingredients with health as a top priority! I can't say enough about her and would highly recommend this service to anyone who is busy and needs extra help with meal prep and cooking services. This was a very special treat for us! It was a very small family reunion full of family members who love to eat and cook together! This time, we found Susan's company and thought it would be fun to let someone else do the cooking! The food was amazing and Susan was a joy to have at the home! Susan Zimmerman is amazing!! WOW, WOW, WOW. We hired her to come to a vacation home in Sunriver. She had the daunting task of cooking for 26 people two nights in a row. She came early and cooked up a storm for us. Everything was so so wonderful, from the organic buffalo to the freshly baked strawberry shortcakes. Many people asked for recipes, which she kindly gave. I am sure we were an overwhelming group but she was classy, professional and a dear to work with. We loved her so much we asked her to cook for us again 5 days later, we were in luck AGAIN! Sunriver Vacation Perfection Delivered Nine of us rolled into Caldera Springs/Sunriver Resort right at dinner time after looooong drives and Chef Susan greeted this hungry crew with a huge plate of cheese, meats, berries, crackers and out-of-this-world smoked salmon dip. Her healthy grilled halibut and veggie dinner did not disappoint and we were free to relax and enjoy the first night of our holiday. AND we ate all the leftovers again for dinner the next night. We had already booked Chef Susan for dinner a second night during our stay, and ALL of us, five children (ages 7-14) and four adults, were looking forward to what Chef would make for us. The second meal, grilled pork tenderloin with chimichurri, was even better than the first. Not only was the food delicious, Chef Susan is a pleasant, chill, and calming personality. She makes a great addition to any dinner party, and we really enjoyed getting to know her. Don't let the initial price tag fool you. You can't get this quality food in a restaurant in Sunriver for anywhere near this price. For the two nights we engaged her, Chef Susan provided enough food for dinner (GOOD dinner) for nine people for four nights. Dinner for nine out a resort restaurant for one night cost us $400--WAY more than Chef Susan charges and NOWHERE near as tasty and there were no leftovers. read more

Outstanding! Susan provided our family of 25 with an excellent dinner of salmon and tri-tip. Everything was prepared perfectly, served hot and topped of with her signature desert, a berry pie with ice cream. Couldn't have been better. For the last two (2) years Susan provided my young sons and I the most amazing service and food. My words fail me when trying to conjure up the impact her cooking has on our vacation. She is easily the greatest asset we have on these trips. The sheer joy of being able to feed my sons incredible food for a low cost cannot be overstated. And this is to say nothing about the cost savings. In one lunch you can easily spend $80 in the village. That money will grant you food from Susan of a much higher quality. She makes my preparation of her dishes beyond easy. Now to get real: my super picky 8 year old son will not even consider a vacation in Oregon now without her lasagna. This is to the point that no matter where we go for a trip- all meals are compared to her lasagna. All meals, all over the country, no matter their cost or presentation fail to live up. She has us hooked on her incredible food. When we show up the fridge is stocked. The food is ready to go. The trip is made easier and I immediately begin wondering why I don't live like this all year around. Without Susan I would waste hours in a futile effort to recreate a low grade recreation of her meals. She grants us freedom and happiness at a time when hours are so precious. We hired Susan to do 4 dinners for our week long stay and this was the best decision we could have made. We had 19 people staying in our house and another 20 people staying near us and she made dinners for all of us and they were phenomenal! We planned a buddies (6) golf trip to Sunriver and I asked Susan if she could do three of the five dinners at our rental house. We played 9 rounds in 4.5 days and I can't tell you how nice it was to come home after playing 36 holes and find Susan there with the smell of great food cooking. The appetizers were all spread out and ready for us. The 4 course meals were simply over the top. Another nice service was that she stocked our refrigerator prior to our arrival. I sent her a list of things and we were then set for the six days we were there. Imagine the chaos of six guys trying to shop for a week in a grocery store. Check out the photo of the stocked refrigerator when we arrived. Susan is well worth it and if we make a return trip to Sunriver from Maine, she will be the first person I call. read more

What a great find on Yelp!! We had 3 families (6 adults and 6 kids) in our group. We rented a house in Sunriver and had Susan prepare our dinner on our second night. AMAZING!! The food was off-the-chart and Susan was extremely pleasurable to have in our house. It was such a treat to have the food shopping, prep, cooking, serving, cleaning all taking care of in the relaxed atmosphere and comfort of our rental. As a 40th birthday gift (of the best kind...I literally cried in joy) I received a few week's worth of Susan's amazing meals. I have a child who is on a severely limited diet and it was not a problem for Susan whatsoever. I homeschool, so those weeks of meals while we got school going again this fall was a total lifesaver. The meals (including side dishes) were excellent! I highly recommend Susan.. She is super flexible to your needs. In our case, she did all the grocery shopping, food prepped and cooked at her home, and delivered the meals in containers so I could just pop them in the oven when we desired that given week. She plans the menu, she cooks the meal and then she even entertains the family members hang'n out in her kitchen while she is cooking. The meal was great, very personable, ALL of the food was delicious, everything was fresh, everyone had a compliment to give her and she was even willing to give out her secrets of how to cook. Brilliant service and Susan is wonderful. We now shop only for little things as needed, eat much healthier, clean much less, have more time for one another and all at little to no additional cost. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous!!! I can't say enough about Susan of The Pure Ingredients. We recently had a family reunion of 18 people in Sunriver/Bend, OR - adults and teenagers. Susan worked on menus with us in order to meet all our individual needs for 6 nights. She fit perfectly into our family. The food was outstanding and different every night - all fresh foods and prepared to perfection. She came in quietly, served appetizers and beverages while she cooked our dinners. She set the table, served us delicious meals cooked to perfection and kept the beverage glasses full. Then came scrumptious desserts. She cleaned up, did the dishes and put the leftovers in the refrigerator. Then left very quietly. My son suggested that we hire a chef for our week and it made all the difference. We had time to spend together as a family without having to prepare dinners. We then had yummy leftovers for lunch.
