We recently used Bleu Bite Catering for a large party (about 70 people) that doubled as a housewarming and 30th anniversary celebration -- and they were fantastic from start to finish! From planning to execution, the team was professional, creative, and a pleasure to work with. I sent them a list of appetizers we liked from their menu, and they helped refine the selection by removing similar items and suggesting great alternatives. The result was a delicious and varied spread that our guests couldn't stop raving about -- the bacon-wrapped shrimp, chimichurri steak skewers, and crostini bar were especially big hits. The on-site team was just as impressive. The setup was beautiful -- they even incorporated some of my own decorations into the table décor to fit our theme. The server, Kiki, and bartender, Louie, were excellent: friendly, attentive, and kept everything running smoothly. And the woman who came to set everything up (whose name I sadly didn't catch) had an incredible eye for detail and made sure everything was perfect. This was our second time using Bleu Bite, but our first time hiring a server and bartender -- and it was absolutely worth it. Bleu Bite Catering, After having two terrible experiences I decided to write a negative yelp review, I personally find it hard to write negative about businesses and companies however this catering business made it more than easy. Both nights we ran out of paper plates which may seem small but after planning an expensive family banquet you'd probably hope that your guests would be able to have a paper plate. Now for me personally this wouldn't make a 1 start yelp review. It's how the employees reacted that got them this review. The employees made excuses and mocked our family. Things like "Well everyone's using two plates and just throwing them away." Were said, we didn't ask for much but among all other things paper plates shouldn't ever be a problem when catering food. This might have just been for my personal experience but it single handily brought down the expectations of this banquet for many people. And at the end of it all, just tell us you're sorry and dont make excuses. Overall the food was honestly great and most of the staff were super sweet and kind. From the moment we started planning I knew we where in good hands. I was a Type-A, hands on bride and I felt zero stress or extra works with the caterers. They were very communicative and organized. The client portal makes it easy to know what needs to be completed before the big day. As for the food, it was delicious. We had several guests compliment the food and the staff. We went with the baked pasta, ceasar salad and veggies (SO GOOD) and affordable. On the day of the bleu bites staff knew what needed to be done. Even with our 240 guests bleu bites worked like a well-oiled machine. Everything was perfect. They went above and beyond the whole day by setting up the dessert table, lighting candles, bussing tables, serving wine and helping move chairs. It has been MANY years since I have been made to feel that my money and feelings are absolutely inconsequential to a company I'm spending a large sum of money with--one I have spent MONTHS working with. The level of disrespect we experienced was baffling. I hope no one makes the same mistake we did using Bleu Bite as a caterer. Like most folks who are looking for a caterer, we saw that Bleu Bite came in highly recommended for our wedding. Everything was fine up until our tasting. During our tasting there were some items we really enjoyed, but there was one option that was inedible (I don't use this term lightly), another that was unseasoned and multiple that were overcooked. I politely requested to try an additional protein option because of the four protein options we tried, only one was a good fit for us. During our call with Bleu Bite to request to taste another option, Vivian (the Customer Service Manager) told us it was against their policy to offer any other tasting options and they were NOT going to provide another option to try. I let her know that only protein option worked for us and we felt uncomfortable spending such a sum of money on something we weren't confident was going to be a fit for us. I even offered to PAY MORE for the additional tasting and they said NO--take it or leave it. I asked them to have the owner to call me to discuss terminating our contact over ONE additional item to taste because I felt I had no other choice. Not only did the manager NOT CALL, I woke up to an email from them letting us know they're refunding our deposit (essentially cancelling our contract) before being respectful enough to call me about it first as I had requested. Side note: I was told the Owner was on vacation for the next week and wouldn't be able to get back to me, but somehow she managed to have time the very next day to cancel our contract. To know that this company does absolutely nothing to accommodate their customers AND in the face of conflict won't even be respectful enough to notify you before walking away from your agreement should make anyone run for the hills. You know, I hate to give a negative review, especially these days. But I have eaten their food twice now, and I just cannot recommended it at all. Last night we had a Saint Patrick's meal at a friend's house. The good notes are that the corned beef was lean and tender, and the fingerling potatoes were tender and crispy, if very over-salted. However, the soda bread was tough and dry and very hard, the potato leek soup was inedible because it was so salty, the cabbage and vegetables were vinegary. In the deserts, the trifle was bitter, and the Guinness cake was hard and over baked. I don't know what's going on there, but if you want really good catered food at your home in Bend, currently this is not the place to get it. I would like to see these people succeed, but their food is very very disappointing. read more

Bleu Bite catered my destination wedding and it was perfect! Bleu Bite was professional, exceptional, and very easy to work with. They followed up with me consistently , communicated well, and were very organized. The staff were all amazing, hardworking, efficient, and kind. They offer so many services, which allows the wedding planning to be simplified. Their food is where they really shine though. All my guests raved about the food. Each side, entry, appetizer they served was delicious. The meat and poultry was cooked to perfection. They packaged leftover food up for us, which was devoured by the end of the weekend. We had a great experience with the planning of the wedding rentals, passed apps and the charcuterie table for cocktail hour. We felt confident in the staff they were going to provide for set up, the bars , serving and clean up. The food was delicious, the charcuterie table beautiful. The service was deplorable. My advise is to vet the actual service people that will be working your party. 2 of the 7 seemed to get it. The other 5 were rude and inexperienced. The guests came and the welcome drinks were not even started. When the actual bars opened after the ceremony they were not prepped so drinks were not served until that was complete. I was horrified for our guests to be told that they had to wait. We relied on BBC to get their staff at the house in a timely manner to set up and prep for signature drinks. I found myself making drinks for arriving guests... not acceptable. The bars were a sticky mess every time I got a drink. I was told they did not have bar towels ( not my problem and figure it out as a staff of BBC) Our guests were also told to look in the garage for prosecco because bars were out, yet there was a fridge full of prosecco that the staff was shown. They only had 2 wine openers for a wedding of 180. We had back up 12 oz plastic personalized glasses if our glassware ran out, but instead of using those or the plain plastic glasses they apparently provide, the bar staff used pilsner glasses for cocktails... again unacceptable. They ran out of ice yet we last minute doubled our order. Tables were not serviced when wine was out. I also found myself and my brother checking tables for empty wine bottles and then opening and serving our friends' tables. We were told the staff would separate glasses that had to come from other rental companies, but they were not. 22 stemless glasses were missing when I returned to Curated Rentals. All in all the wedding was a beautiful success, but really tragic as a mother of the groom I had to witness and handle their job to make sure our guests who took the time to travel all the way to Bend were welcomed and treated the way we wanted them to be. read more

Last summer my friend L and I catered a wedding - it was H A R D work! Its hard to get everything out when it is still hot. Hard to know how much you need. Hard to be on your feet all day and be nice to people. It is especially hard to make really yummy food that pretty much anybody would love. The nice people at Incredible Edibles has this down! I recently had the pleasure to attend a wedding that they catered and the food was fantastic. We had cold salmon with dill sauce, yummy perfectly cooked potatoes, and asparagus. They also served homemade lemonade and really delicious minty iced tea. The plates were beautiful but perhaps best of all was the outstanding service. The staff were sweet, hard working, attentive, and kind. They seemed to anticipate needs before the table did - and went out of their way to make the event special. I'm really glad that so many people have had a good experience with this company . Unfortunately this was not my experience. I ordered the traditional Thanksgiving dinner 10 days prior to Thanksgiving . I scheduled my pick up at 5 on Wednesday because I mistakenly thought that would mean that my food was cooked sometime on Wednesday. I don't believe that was so. Also ordering my pickup so late make it uncertain whether I would.be able to reach anyone at the business should something go wrong. Had I thought about those things I might have done things differently. In my case something did go wrong. In the bags that they gave us when we picked up our dinner, there was no turkey. Because we didn't go through the two large shopping bags of food prior to leaving the shop, it wasn't until we arrived home and started putting food in the refrigerator that we discovered the error. We called them and tried to email them frantically for an hour. Their message machine was full and the recording said they would be back in on Monday. Finally after many many attempts at dialing their number and hoping someone would still be cleaning up and finally give up and pick up the phone. After repeated calls that finally happened. The lady I talked to said that we could come in Thursday morning and pick up the turkey we had ordered. When I was silent for a few seconds she added that if we couldn't that she would bring it over now. I asked her to do that. I kind of expected she would throw in a little extra treat like an appetizer or a couple desserts for all the trouble we had gone to and the frantic hour we have spent, but alas no. As for the dinner itself I had ordered the traditional dinner with the green bean casserole because my daughter is a green bean casserole lover. The green beans however we're not in any way made into a casserole. They were seasoned fresh green beans. They tasted very vinegary and we're not eaten by anyone. The turkey was so dry that they had added several containers of vegetable broth. Thank goodness. The white meat with the vegetable broth was passable, but the dark meat was little tiny shaving like the very last pieces cut off the bones. The mashed potatoes were good but they were very small portions. They had roasted the sweet potatoes and they were okay, nothing special. The dressing was quite good. . All of the leftovers were thrown out because no one wanted them. Unfortunately I'm comparing this dinner to our typical Gourmet Thanksgiving that my sister-in-law does every year, but I expected more than I got from a company that caters special events. Maybe we got the dregs because I set up our pick up so late. I'm not sure but I would recommend that if you order holiday dinner from them that you get it at least early in the morning the last possible day and not the end of the day. I would also be sure and check that every single thing you ordered was given to you. Had I checked it would have saved us all a lot of hysterics. I'm not one that likes to write reviews especially bad ones but I feel under the circumstances that I must. read more

This is the BEST catering company in Central Oregon! Our company hired them to cater our Christmas Party at the owners house. Janie was SO accommodating, with everything from the menu to the pickup/delivery/setup/special diets, etc. I couldn't believe how reasonable her prices are for the amazing-ness that the food was. We had a couple servers, a bartender and a chef, and the experience was amazing....We really enjoyed the evening and would recommend this to anyone looking for large (or small!) event catering. We had the quesadillas, crabcakes, pork tacos, chips and salsa with guacamole, and chimichurri beef skewers for a party of 70. They showed up an hour early so by the time people started eating, the food had been sitting out for almost 2 hours. After eating the first layer of quesadillas, we discovered that most of the remaining ones had been burned black and were mostly hard as rocks anyway because they had been sitting over direct sterno. Inedible. We had to throw them away. The beef skewers were pretty tasty but started hardening quickly as they were under direct sterno as well. Why they didn't use a Bain Marie is beyond me. Direct flame under everything just made it dry out and harden quickly. The salsa was good as was the guacamole but the amount of guacamole they sent was minuscule and was gone very quickly. I found it very surprising and unprofessional that the person setting up told me she had to do "Quality Control" on the guacamole and then it tasted really good. The crabcakes were the favorite and they were eaten quickly enough so they didn't dry out. read more

The menus had so many amazing options that it made it difficult for me to decide what to get - but did end up keeping to nearly all finger foods from their seasonal menu. Totally detail oriented and they dealt so well with my constant flow of crazy bride emails updating, changing things, adjusting numbers, etc. On the day of the wedding they arrived super early, laid everything out, and scarcely talked to me for the rest of the day--the planning was that seamless. We had ample and delicious food (we opted for more of a light buffet style menu for a September wedding and I highly recommend their pulled pork sliders, steak skewers in chimmichurri sauce, and spinach/avocado/orange salad) and everyone was raving about the food. I am finally having the time to write this long overdue review! Bleu Bite catered my wedding in June 2014 and they were absolutely FANTASTIC! From the initial email sent to clean up the morning after the wedding, they were professional and amazing. Jamie was such a doll to work with and she was always to prompt to reply to my emails or answer my phones... which were almost daily the month leading up to the wedding. I had absolutely nothing to worry about with Bleu Bite handling my catering. The tasting was incredible as well. The food as outstanding, just like on the night of my wedding. I also had their staff bartend the wedding. They were so fantastic. The party ended up going later then I think we had planned but they stayed til the very end. Then the next morning two people came back to clean up. To be honest, my family and I will all say that the after day clean up was worth every single penny and was probably the best spent money for the entire wedding. They made my wedding night such a breeze and were so accommodating about EVERYTHING. I remember going to cut the cake and slightly panicking because I didn't have a knife, then Jamie ran off to get me one... not her job to remember that but she stepped in whenever and wherever possible. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting an elegant catering service for their wedding or event. I am so sad for the reviewer that had a poor experience, because that for sure is not common with their company. One tip: I ending up going with the rib eye instead of chef cut tri tip, hindsight, I wish I would have had the chef cut tri tip. I think it would have added to the ambiance and elegance.
