We had out of state visitors and decided to hire La Paella (Devin) to cater a dinner in our backyard. He set up his equipment on our deck, mixed up an amazing sangria, and greeted everyone. Devin explained the courses and the timing, and was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Each course he made for us got raves! Devin also brought along some incredible sauces to spice things up. It was really fun to watch him prepare the dishes in front of us with his Pizza oven and huge Paella pan. We all agreed that Devin's food was the best we had ever eaten. The paella was beautifully presented and the flavor outstanding. The lemon dessert was also delicious and complemented the dinner perfectly. Devin packed up all the leftovers and presented them to us as he left. We will definitely hire Devin again. The experience was wonderful! read more

I've been meaning to write this a review for a long time. La Paella catered a dinner for us in the home we rented in Sunriver Oregon in August 2020. The chef brought his entire outdoor kitchen with him and set it up on the patio, in the middle of Covid, wearing a mask and prepared the most fantastic paella ever. My kids were gracious enough to have arranged four catered dinners the week we were there and this was by far the best. The huge paella pan was arranged beautifully with big slabs of salmon on top and mini peas. The rice was the best I've ever had in a Paella. It was full of chorizo and other goodies. His prices are very reasonable as well, especially for catered events! I highly recommend anyone in the Sun River area calling La Paella for an incredible meal. read more

The Best decision we made on our one- week vacation to Sunriver was to hire Devin for a paella night! I was looking for a reasonably priced way to feed our large family while still being able to stay at home and this was the perfect answer. Devin was super easy to work with, a prompt communicator and his menu was extensive, giving us an easy way to personalize it. It was a delight to spend the evening with him and see a master chef at work. Not only was it an exquisite meal, but we learned so much about local hotspots as well. And all at an incredibly reasonable price. I looked into having a local chef from the resort come and it was over double the cost! I highly recommend La Paella Bend for any gathering. We just used la paella Bend last night for me and my husband's anniversary dinner. With Covid going on we opted to stay in versus going out to a restaurant to minimize contact with people. Chef Devin did an amazing job. This is my first time hiring a chef but this experience has set the bar. I called around to multiple caterers and chefs in the area before choosing him and he was by far the most impressive. He responded to texts/calls/emails in a timely manner and was willing to do some special requests which we so appreciated. We felt so safe the entire time as he was masked and he set up his cooking station in the garage with the door open which again minimized contact with in the house. The food was SO good.. it was our first time having paella and we were very impressed with the flavor. He makes Everything from scratch including the salad dressing and oh my gosh the tomato compound butter he puts on the bread is out of this world! All garlic bread will fail in comparison now. Even my picky husband was impressed with everything we ate. The chili oil was also a hit. He surprised us with a complimentary bottle of wine for our anniversary and we thought that was so thoughtful. I would not hesitate to use him again! Wow! We had Devin cater our microwedding and he did not disappoint. He has the best customer service and always responded to my emails in record speed. As for the day of, he was also a great communicator and set up his station outside. It's so fun to watch how it is made and the food was the most flavorful. The portions were huge and tasted like quality ingredients, his homemade chili oil is amazing. Before leaving he packed up the leftovers for us to have and made sure we were happy. If you've never had paella then you have to try it! It's not like anything I've ever had before. Devin provides many choices for the meat, and also offers a vegan paella with tons of veggies. It's a delicious dish with a special rice, lots of wonderful spices, and usually 3 meats. My favorite is the chorizo (which he makes himself), chicken and shrimp. This past summer, we had a small family gathering outside of Bend, Oregon and Devin made the most amazing meal for 16 of us adults on the back patio of our vacation home.
