Oscar & Maya made my 50th birthday party an unforgettable evening. From start to finish, the 4-course nutrition forward dinner was executed with flawless timing, exceptional warmth, and outstanding culinary craft. Plus, they took care of every bit of the cleanup afterward.
We kicked off the night with a bite-sized appetizer that instantly set a celebratory tone, followed by a bright, vibrant seasonal salad. The farmer's market veggies were exceptionally crisp, and the house-made carrot-ginger dressing had a refreshing, zesty balance. So delicious!!
The star of the menu was undoubtedly Oscar's signature paella. Packed with perfectly spiced chorizo, tender chicken, and delicate white fish, salmon & shrimp the dish achieved that elusive, perfectly toasted bottom layer of rice while keeping the seafood succulent. The dish was full of incredible flavor. It served as both a stunning visual centerpiece and a crowd-pleasing highlight that guests are still talking about.
To top off the celebration, the dual dessert offering hit every high note. The tiramisu was light, airy, and beautifully balanced with espresso, while the dark chocolate mousse was rich, velvety, and pure decadence.
What truly set the team apart was how seamlessly they handled dietary restrictions and individual food allergies. Oscar and Maya accommodated multiple special requests--including seafood, gluten and dairy sensitivities--without compromising on flavor or presentation, making every single guest feel fully included. One friend commented that it was the first time she had been to a party where she could eat everything they served.
Beyond the incredible food, their full-service approach made hosting completely stress-free. Oscar set the kitchen up outside and allowed guests to watch as he prepared the food. They provided the dishes and silverware, served and bussed the tables which allowed everyone to relax and enjoy the event.
