We got our Husky from here a month ago, and I have to disagree with all the negative reviews that are being left. There is NOT a "only one puppy" policy, we literally played with almost all of them. The staff were absolutely wonderful and very helpful. And our pup hasn't been ill once since we brought her home. The only thing they required from us was to do a fecal test with our vet within the first 72 hours of bringing our puppy home to make sure everything was fine, and sure enough, there wasn't a single issue with our pup whatsoever. Our vet said she's as healthy as can be. Maybe we just got lucky, but we truly are very happy with the service and will be using them again when we decide it's time for another fur baby. read more

We love our little golden pup, but after six weeks we are still trying to get rid of the awful parasites she had when we got her from them. We actually bought the pup in Las Vegas (Henderson) but had to drive up to St George to get her. They say we can file a claim for the medical expenses (which will be substantial after what have now been several vet visits and repeat medications) but they should have taken care of this problem before putting her up for sale. In all my years of buying direct from breeders I've never had this problem. This is the first time I've ever gotten a puppy from an actual pet store and I will never do it again. Our poor little pup has had to take repeat doses of strong antibiotics and another drug, cleaning up her soft poop has been terrible day after day. Very unhappy with this pet store! This store seems fine. We bought our puppy here. Look, it is what it is. The staff was kind to us and there were no problems and the puppy is totally fine and healthy. If you want a particular breed they have payment plans. Are they hiked up. That's how they make their money. My puppy was from a breeder according to the papers and had a family tree. The only issue we had was she had a surgery a small one but didn't even know about it, until our first vet visit. Then we called the puppy store and the sales man told us she did. It wasn't on her history or paperwork. So that was kinda lame. You agree before you leave the store that the puppy looks well to you. You sign many papers and that you agree to take them to the vet ASAP. They tell you to not take the dog anywhere for a certain amount of time. Keep some common sense in your pocket while you're in there. Ask a lot of questions. They will answer them. Make sure you're ok with a payment plan. Recommend if YOU do buy from them to use cash. The lending place they go through is a piece of crap that any banker will confirm sucks to work with and incredibly bad bad service. We ended up withdrawing cash and paying the store. My dog did actually come from a breeder who sells to pet stores. They are suppose to have strict regulations and health warrantees...and are supposedly inspected with their state agriculture dept. I have a pedigree that came with our dog and the breeders name...so it wasn't a huge secret or anything. Just ask them where the puppy came from. BEFORE you buy the dog. The cool kid who helped us gets commission except if they aren't there the person who is will get the sale. So if you like someone that helped you make sure they are there when you purchase the dog. If the dog is super expensive there is wiggle room for negotiation. They discount the dog the longer it is there in the store. IS what we were told but our sales guy. This is all what I gathered and got from it and talking to them. They are super nice people and that is their job. My dog is awesome, was it worth the amount I paid? Most likely not, but i did want her and I did choose to get her from there and I am happy with the dog and haven't had health issues with her yet When you're buying a dog from a puppy store of some sort, take in consideration they are prob eating the paper and their own poop. They are probably not walked the greatest and will take just a tad extra effort to potty train because they just potty in the area they are in whenever they want. It's at your own risk and you clearly sign a butt load of papers making sure you're aware of what you're getting into pretty much. It's pretty clear. End thought: if you want a particular breed and you don't have cash to get it. Or don't want to wait. You can get it at a hiked up price at the puppy store on a payment plan. There was a guy in town who was calling people bigots on a Facebook thread he manages the Puppy House ( Puppy store is where I got my dog, two different stores ) I am not sure who manages the puppy store. If it's someone totally different or the same, I don't know. But just keep in mind how unprofessional and disgusting a manager can be to snap back at a customer who made a post on losing her dog. Even if she was right or not his character was gross. I don't personally know any of the people who work at either stores. And again I liked the two sales reps I spoke with at the PUPPY STORE. They were super nice to us. Take time to look at the pups if you want but don't just act on how cute and bad you want the dog. Be smart and ask people. Ask the banks about the loan. Search all the reviews. Do your own research then decide. Love my dog though, we've always wanted the breed we got and are totally happy with the dog. Not at the price we paid but hey we put ourselves into that cause we wanted the dog a ton. BUY at your own RISK. Can't be any more clearer than that. READ your paperwork. ASK a buttload of questions. Leave the store and think about it for a few days. I put two stars cause of the price and environment ( they should have a grass area the store has to let the dogs out to potty and play in my opinion. ) i think they should have their own Vet working there. And be clear as day where they get their dogs and the source. I think they should have options to include particular toys in the store that you pick out yourself with the purchase and a variety of dog food options. I think they should have a personal groomer there and you can see the dog get washed and looked over. And you're going to be getting a pup that most likely was touched by a buttload of other people.... read more

So lots of cute puppies obviously... staff is horrible & rude. We were not told of the holding "one puppy per visit" rule when we arrived, probably because the guy working was too busy on his phone the WHOLE DAMN time. & then got upset with us when he didn't do his job, then to be told the same thing by another employee in an even meaner tone. If you want to drop $$$ on a puppy, go for it. Just don't do it here. These people don't deserve their paychecks with the horrible attitudes & atmosphere they produce. Never going here again, & will tell others the same exact thing. Also what kind of thing is a one puppy rule... like I'm sorry I didn't like the dog I first picked to hold so now I have to come back to see if a different dog is better for me? Yeah I'd rather not waste my time. We will be adopting our 2nd dog from anywhere but here. Keep y'all posted. read more

If your looking for a specific breed I recommend stopping by and checking it out. The back is also clean and they really do a great job caring for the individual pulls! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! They will lie to your face about a "no puppy mill guarantee" but in reality most of their puppies are bought from puppy mills and have a variety of health problems (which they also lie about with their claims to "never sell sick puppies.") Please don't make the same mistake I did and research before you support this business. I love my new puppy but the entire thing is very shady and manipulative and I can only hope that he doesn't have/develop any health issues due to this cruel establishment. I went into this store looking for a german shepherd pup and the guy told me they have one but it is in the back getting medication and said it had parvo will be there for 2 to 3 weeks he showed me a picture of the shepherd on there computer and told me a price of 2800.00 and said he would call me or I could check back with him and I know it is the puppy store due to the fact that there puppy staging area was the same as in there website but any way I was on facebook and looking at all the comments about the puppy store and I guess someone who worked there was defending the store and I told him I came in to look at a shepherd he said he did not have a shepherd then I told him what the guy told me he said it was in the back he said it was the other puppy store and proceeded to argue with me about it and I pulled up exactly where I went on maps and sent the place to him. all the sudden started discussing things with another person on the same issue this place needs to be held to higher standards or shut down akc paper work does not really mean the dog is of that litter could of had 2 or 3 litters listed under parents all they have to have is the numbers from 2 parents of the breed to register the dog akc so don't believe the employee lied to me or the guy on facebook did one or the other so it makes me think the shepherd he showed me either died or never was there either way someone lied to me and I do not respect liars or people who try to scam people or people who just try to take advantage of people. this is only my opinion but the facts is the facts someone lied to me. and yes they probably get some good dogs that are healthy but some are not and they should say that instead of trying to make excuses for whats being said. get out of the puppy mills if they would quit buying from them they probably would have good dogs. but there prices are that way higher than those true breeders and yes Ive checked into it. found my baby at the animal shelter shepherd and she is just as good as any of there dogs probably better. ........ read more

I came in a couple days ago in search of a new little friend! The puppies of course were adorable and I picked out a darling little pup. They had signs in the store talking about their payment plan "0 down $100 monthly payments". I was ecstatic considering I didn't have $4,000 in cash to drop right then and there. The lady told me it would be a soft credit pull so I agreed and sat down. She told me I was approved for almost $1,000 more than the puppy cost and I got super excited. She continued to keep putting stuff in on her computer and then twenty minutes later told me I wasn't approved and took her back from me. I was left very confused and extremely embarrassed. Turns out she pulled my credit from multiple websites and I've been getting calls all day about it. Overall a terrible experience but adorable puppies. I don't think I will be coming back. read more

I purchased 2 puppies from The Puppy Store in St George Utah. One of them, a Maltipoo which was to be a pedigree that cost me $800 was not a pure Maltipoo. When I bought her, she weight 2.5 pounds, and I was told she was full grown by the Vet tech working at the store. I had her for 8 months and she grew to be 8 pounds, very long and heavy. I feed her 1/2 cup of food twice per day, so her weight should have been a lot less, not sure why she grew so big. I went to the store to talk with the people about my dog. They showed me pictures of the parent, which I was not shown when I purchased my puppy. If I had seen the parents of the parents, I would not have purchased the puppy. The male parent was a very large poodle mix and the female a medium size poodle mix. I was very upset, and so I asked the girl to have the owner call me, but it's been a week and no phone call. Very upset and think if you purchase a puppy from this store you will be disappointed also. read more

Got a puppy from this store they said he was AKC and lied he was not he was ckc and inbred. Because of the inbreeding he had hip problems which I was told in the store that they had tested for and had come back negative. He had to be put down due to these hip problems. read more

We had a great experience there! Everyone was very helpful and kind to us the whole time! We held any and all the puppies we wanted and they were exceptionally good with my kids! When my wife found the puppy she wanted they where very fare priced and went over all the details of the warranties and the puppies health! I bought a Shiba Inu from this store. When we took her to the vet, we discovered that she had parasites. One week later another family member bought a puppy from this same store only to find out from the vet they she too had parasites. Dogs here are overpriced and infected. read more

Bought a dog from here last year and he was extremely sick with kennel cough and the place refused to help with the vet fee (even though they said when purchasing they would if he was sick) then my sister bought one from them and she had giardia, a UTI and was clipped with grooming.... I was in there tonight and was disgusted at what I saw... dogs were going liquid diarrhea left and right some where under weight (clearly VERY SICK ANIMALS) and the employees where just scooping it out and not sanitizing or switching out the paper, no wonder they are all sick. they are still bribing people to give 5 star reviews for 200$ ( there is a sign by the register) off their puppies (it was a free toy for a 5 star review when we bought ours) and on top of all of this the loan company they use is a complete SCAM we ended up paying almost 2000 EXTRA for our dog because of interest and fees. Please do not buy your dogs from here... save money and find a local breeder. read more

I wish I had never stepped inside this business. Silly me for thinking there would be educated employees and that I would be told the truth when purchasing a puppy. We wanted a puppy for the children and then have the opportunity to breed her one time in the future. I have NEVER spent $2,600 on a dog. I wanted reassurance that I could breed our female pup prior to me walking out the door with her and was told several times that we could. I purchased a female King Cavalier Spaniel for our family based on their information. The Puppy Store told me if there were any issues once we brought her home to call and they provided an emergency phone number. Well, we did have some urgent issues. I called many times and no one answered. I left messages at the store. No return calls I later found out the owner, whose number it was, was out of the country and forgot to alert his store employees. We worked things out with a friend who is a vet. The Puppy Store representative told us that before any puppy is brought into their store, they were all given a physical by a vet in Hurricane, Utah. They gave me the name of the business. We then took our puppy into that vet to have her well check. I assumed they would have a record on her. Nothing. In fact, they said they had never seen her. They also do not provide physicals for each puppy as stated by The Puppy Store rep.They then stated, "You do know this puppy has had surgery for an umbilical hernia?" We had no idea. They then told us that she should not be bred in that condition. All of her future pups would have the same challenge. I called The Puppy Store and told them what we had learned. They connected me to the owner David, and he asked for a photo of the scar. He showed it to their vet in San Diego and he said it was inconclusive. He also said the breeder denied the surgery. I then took our puppy into another vet for a third opinion and some shots. They stated the puppy did have the surgery. I asked the owner if he would talk to these local vets that had seen the puppy in person. No response. Store employees had also forgot to have us sign a form they have that holds them harmless on issues of breeding. They were acting desperate. That really did not matter as the point was the puppy had surgery and that was NEVER disclosed to us. In fact, the owner told me that the employee that sold us the puppy quit a few days after our purchase and was known to "say anything" to get a commission. Ugh. I could go on and on. My wife has asthma and had several attacks once the puppy came home. The last few weeks were spent trying to find a new home for our little pup. Heart breaking for the children, but the life of our wife and mother comes first. Every person that saw the puppy (just 5 months old now) walked away once they saw the surgery or their vet confirmed what had happened. No one would pay a proper price and in the end we took a $1,500 loss. We found a good home with a great family. What an ordeal. I tried to communicate with The Puppy Store again prior to our having to re-home her and let them know what we were running into on the bad information they originally provided. The new store manager I spoke to would not give me her name. She did say The Puppy Store in Saint George was a mess and she was sent from CA to clean it up. Did I mention she would not give me her name? We got no where with the store employees or the owner. I decided it was best for ME to find our puppy a new home and NOT trust The Puppy Store to do it... if they decided to take her back. I could not do that to our little puppy. What an exasperating experience. Heart breaking. Please do NOT patronize this company. They have three locations that I know of in Saint George, Las Vega and some where in California. I asked where their company headquarters was and was told my the new store manager...with no name that she had no idea. She was new. I later found out she has worked for The Puppy Store for over one year. Sigh. Enough said? read more
