There are two kinds of IT people, the ones who leave you more confused than when you started, and…read morethe ones who quietly solve the problem and get you back to running your business. Working with Matt was exactly that. He was prompt, professional, and refreshingly easy to work with. No unnecessary jargon, no drama, just honest expertise and a genuine commitment to getting the job done right. As a small business owner, having someone reliable to call when technology gets in the way is invaluable. If you're looking for an IT professional who knows his craft, communicates well, and delivers on his promises, I highly recommend him. Good people are hard to find. Great IT people are even harder.

I can't say enough great things about Matt. He absolutely saved me this week…read more My Lenovo laptop completely failed to boot after a graphics driver cleanup utility corrupted the Windows boot configuration and recovery environment. The system was stuck in a recovery loop, BitLocker was triggered, and Windows wouldn't load or even reliably enter repair mode. Multiple shops I called said it would take several days just to diagnose the issue. Matt turned it around in essentially one day. He was able to manually access the system, unlock BitLocker, repair the corrupted boot configuration, rebuild the necessary Windows files, and get the machine fully operational again -- without wiping my data. That was critical, as I had local files that weren't backed up to the cloud. Beyond the technical expertise, what impressed me most was: * Clear communication * Fast turnaround * Extremely reasonable pricing * No upselling, no unnecessary "reinstall everything" approach He diagnosed the real issue quickly and fixed it correctly the first time. If you're an independent contractor who depends on your machine daily, or you run a small to mid-sized business and need reliable, competent IT support, Matt is exactly who you want on your side. Look no further. Highly, highly recommend.

Let me paint a picture for you all:…read more Friday morning, I sat down in my hotel room in Champaign with a bit of breakfast and my laptop balanced on the arm of the couch. The computer fell back, hitting the floor and popping the glass screen out of the shell (rendering the computer completely unusable). Four hours later, I made it back to Mundelein and brought my computer to the Computer Guys. Three hours after that, the Computer Guys called me to tell me my problem was fixable, how long it would take, and how much it would cost. The next morning, I received another call to tell me it was ready for pickup. I got to the shop, verified that my laptop was up and running, and I went on my merry way, fully-functioning computer in hand. In less than 24 hours, my computer went from functional to broken to functional again, and I couldn't have done it (and done it affordably) without the Mundelein Computer Guys. As long as I live in the area, I won't go anywhere else for my computer-related needs.

I went there bc my mac had a broken screen. The guy replaced it but the camera looked all pink and…read moreI needed the camera in order to take a class. I reported the issue saying it was the wrong part. He said to bring it back to take a look. I do and when I mention it's the wrong part he gets smart with me pointing to the model number "You see this model number here." then pulls up the one the system says it needs. "It's the same number." Speaking to me as if I'm stupid. I explain that either way the part isn't good if the camera's all pink. He says he'll have it fixed by Wednesday (two days later). I got no call or messages on Wednesday confirming that it was done so I call and he indirectly admitted to forgetting about fixing my computer because he had 'more urgent clients' to tend to first. I go back a couple days after to pick it up. I check the camera was STILL ALL PINK. I call back and was told there was nothing he could do. He then condescendingly offered to return the computer to its original state and give me a refund. I agreed then he added "Yeah, I just don't think our service is good enough for you." In an even more condescending tone acting as if I was pulling his leg for asking him to do his job. Mind you, the guy DIDN'T FIX ANYTHING AT ALL. I'm normally very patient and lenient with people when they work since we're all human but this was ridiculous. Wish I could've avoided the whole situation since my computer ended up the same.
