I had a poorly configured home network with lots of connected devices, several computers, and network attached storage. A couple of computers had stopped talking to each other and passwords were messed up. I couldn't get the answers or solutions I needed from websites. I was frustrated. I had never used a consultant but Yelp directed me to Nestech Computers. I worked with Shawn of Nestech for an hour and a half. He remoted in to both my computers at the same time to see, test, diagnose, and adjust settings to success. He was knowledgeable and thorough in addressing my problems. He also cared about my whole network to add some extra network adjustments to improve its operation. I would use Nestech again. They left me with network nirvana, devices that all work together nicely.

Dave answered my emails and calls in a timely fashion, and worked with me to make an appointment to save my sanity. The whole job took a few hours, and in that time he restored everything back to its original settings, reloaded software I had purchased, and he actually got rid of junky programs I didn't need that were taking up extra hard drive space. He even reloaded a new virus scan program, brought back my preferred web browser, and configured my wireless so I no longer have to plug my laptop into an Ethernet cable. Dave was a very down-to-earth regular guy and was very easy to talk to. I would continue to call him instead of the hyped up franchise company I will not name. :) In fact, he told me he sells used computers as well, and I WILL be calling him to replace that 11 year-old POS inhabiting our home office. Dave quoted me a very reasonable price, so I am very pleased that I can get a deal through him versus spending 4x more elsewhere. I HIGHLY recommend Dave's Computer Services!

The system was stuck in a recovery loop, BitLocker was triggered, and Windows wouldn't load or even reliably enter repair mode. Multiple shops I called said it would take several days just to diagnose the issue. Matt turned it around in essentially one day. He was able to manually access the system, unlock BitLocker, repair the corrupted boot configuration, rebuild the necessary Windows files, and get the machine fully operational again -- without wiping my data. That was critical, as I had local files that weren't backed up to the cloud. Beyond the technical expertise, what impressed me most was: * Clear communication * Fast turnaround * Extremely reasonable pricing * No upselling, no unnecessary "reinstall everything" approach He diagnosed the real issue quickly and fixed it correctly the first time. If you're an independent contractor who depends on your machine daily, or you run a small to mid-sized business and need reliable, competent IT support, Matt is exactly who you want on your side. Look no further. Highly, highly recommend.
