I'm using a Dell laptop that's less than 2 years old, and already it began to slow down. Tried to clear the cache and update the drivers, to no avail. Contacted Mark the evening of Tuesday 6/20/23, dropped the computer off the next day, had it back on Friday 6/23/23 (could have had it within 24-hours, but my work schedule did not allow for a pick-up that day). As a trader, it's important that I have a lightning fast machine 24/7. Lake County Geeks was able to repair the problem so the computer performs like new, at a reasonable price. They also installed a desktop app so they can remote in going forward without me having to drop the computer off, which is a real time saver. I had a mysterious problem with RAM being eaten up and my computor crashing constantly. Even when I got a new computor and had Mark transfer all my data from the old to the new, the problem showed up there as well! The company that sold me the computor ran me through their battery of fixes and nothing worked so they said they'd have to wipe the hard drive. That meant I'd lose the money I'd paid Mark and have to start over. Mark rose to the occassion. He was then not only kind, patient and went WAY BEYOND the call of duty to try and sleuth what was causing this - he actually figured it out . I shared a screen with him while he showed me the RAM being eaten up by my mail program but then the "telling" data would disappear- right in front of our eyes! So you had to be watching that screen really closely to even get what was happening. This took a lot of his time to find, therefore. The disappearing clue.. and he refused payment for discovering this!!! I rebuilt all my mailboxes and it was SOLVED. No hard drive wipe. I mean, what a prince- what a detective and what a pro.And did I say he was an excellent communicator to someone , me, who knows NOTHING about computors? I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!! Excellent customer service at a fair price!

Amazing! Stupendous! Fabulous! Yada, yada, yada. All that and more! Figuratively - my laptop jumped off a cliff, hit the rocks below, was slammed by the waves, and crashed so hard it was absolutely no use to me. I'm not a novice with Computer Sciences and in fact am 1 year from my degree. You can imagine I was seriously NOT giving in and I WOULD fix this thing if it were the LAST thing I do! {insert 2 weeks of time and effort here} Insert Mark at Lake County Geeks: Mark said on a scale of 1 - 5 with 5 being the worst ever system crash, this laptop was at a 4.5. Funny thing is? It happened immediately following an "auto-update" by your friend and mine, MS. Thanks Uncle Bill. Mark spent a lot of time trying to rescue this laptop without a complete restore. He contacted me several time to discuss the situation and even though I had indeed done a recent backup, it looked hopeless. If you didn't know, restoring (with discs) sets the computer back to factory reset. The system is wiped, you lose e-v-e-r-y-t-h-I-n-g. End result: I still don't know how he did it, but he managed to salvage the computer back to the most recent image saved. Ok, before ya'all get critical, I tried that myself. It did NOT work. Bottom line is? Mark will do everything within his power to fix your problem. He asks good questions, keeps you informed, and does the job right, the first time. BTW, I called a major 'Big Box' squad and they wanted fee's that were the same as the cost of the laptop. Seriously? How dumb do they think we are out here IRL? Mark's rates are awesome. I dropped it off with him and he said he would try to get to it, he called me about two hours later telling me it was ready and he only charge a small fee because the repair was simple. If I could give 10 stars, I would! To say that Mark went above and beyond is an understatement on his quest to fix my laptop. My laptop had numerous problems but the most significant was a blown mother board. He was able to salvage all my documents, personal files and other information which was a huge issue for me since I had not backed up any of my files. He also became my advocate in talking with the laptop manufacturer because the warranty on my laptop had just expired a couple of months before the motherboard fried. When the manufacturer proved to be highly uncooperative, he turned to eBay and got what we needed to fix my computer. Finding the part took a while because of the make and model of my laptop but Mark never gave up!!! And when we finally got it, he emailed me that he was up until 2am fixing it on the 4th of July! That's dedication! And these days, it's really rare to find someone who is so technically sound in what they are doing but also who provide such great service and dedication.
