Stopped in after walking the river walk. Very small but cute place. I love chicken salad and chose the half sandwich box lunch. Sandwich was a small pretzel with yummy chicken salad, I opted for lettuce and tomato. Lots of additional toppings if you want. The pretzel was soft and yummy, also came with chips and a cinnamon sugar pretzel nub which topped off the meal. Met and spoke with the owner who was very nice. They will participate in the first Friday nights in Bellevue when weather gets warmer. Looking forward to that. Definitely a place to go eat at. One of the best soft pretzels I've ever had! I arrived around noon on Friday to see a line out of the door, immediately indicating that this place had to be a hit. Despite the long line, the service was quick, and I was able to order within five minutes of arrival. The workers were all incredibly friendly and very polite too. I opted to get the classic butter salt pretzel with beer cheese. It was delicious! They also offer a variety of speciality sandwiches, as well as a "build-your-own" sandwich, where you can pick and choose from a bunch of different toppings. Along with the service, my pretzel came out in rapid time as well! It wasn't overbearing with the salt, and the pretzel itself was very thick, which I really enjoyed. I'll start by saying my mom is not a big sandwich person, but any time she visits me she is always excited to order a meal from here. I am super grateful to the colleague who recommended this gem to me when I used to work in Kentucky. My mom and I both love how fresh the pretzel sandwiches are. Also, they are HUGE and super tasty. Their dessert knots are a hit with us as well. Pricing is super reasonable here, especially for the portion size. As a local, sometimes it is hard for us to remember the fantastic gems on this side of the river. We are rarely in the Bellevue area but were visiting another business with my family. I am glad we did since my husband, and I found a hidden gem - The Pretzel Place. Not far from Ms. Teapot, this little restaurant has some of the best soft pretzels. While it is a very small restaurant, it has a mom-and-pop, relaxing culture that I would have expected more when I lived in the New Jersey area - very down-to-Earth and focused on the food. While we didn't eat at the restaurant, my family purchased pretzels to bring back home. During the short time inside, the staff was very friendly, and the owner was joking around with staff and patrons. This is the sort of place that truly makes you feel relaxed and at home. Prices were also reasonable. While they were busy, the restaurant was super clean. Now, to the good part - the pretzels. My husband and I had three pretzels to try - butter salt, cinnamon sugar, and jalapeno cheddar. As you can see from the pictures, everything was wrapped well, especially the jalapeno pretzel. I didn't expect the pretzels to be still soft three hours later (we got distracted playing Pokemon Go). Actually, the jalapeno pretzel was still warm with how it was wrapped, something none of us expected. It had the most wonderful kick and flavor, potentially the best jalapeno pretzel I have ever tried. A win-win there! Both the butter salt and cinnamon sugar were also soft and quite delicious. We all loved the pretzels, even if they were a different texture than my family expected. Just be warned that non-locals who aren't used to our Germanic culture in the area, they are NOT American pretzels - they are far better. I wished we got the beer cheese once we got into them, but since I thought we would be eating them in the car, that was a no-go. This was our second trip to the restaurant formerly known as Twisted Sister's. As I said in the first review this is a place that almost exclusively deals in pretzels and pretzel sandwiches. I decided to indulge in a Spicy Italian Pretzel Sandwich. It came with salami, pepperoni, swiss, brown mustard, oil/vinegar, and a side of beer cheese. The meats were all delicious and righr for a spicy Italian and the swiss and sauces were great also. The beer cheese was a strong take on it which I like in a beer cheese. The pretzel was a pretzel bread more than s traditional soft pretzel but was still salty and delicious. The environment is a real small shop (because it is) and the woman was delightful. I have had the restaurant cater two separate parties for me and both times, my guests loved the food and wanted to know what restaurant I had the food catered from..! Several of the guests went to the restaurant and had them cater food for their events as well. The owners are so nice and very accommodating. I highly recommend you try the restaurant if not for catering, maybe for one of their delicious sandwiches for lunch on their pretzel buns. So yummy. Their chicken salad is one my favorites!! I'm sure these make a fantastic sandwich...but it sure didn't resemble the pretzels I know and love. My son was the only one who liked it. We couldn't finish ours....all I could think was carbs. Amazing! So good! Best kept secret in Bellevue. The pretzels are soft & perfectly cooked. They have some varieties and flavors like cinnamon sugar and jalapeño and cheese, but we just enjoy the regular salt and butter. They can make sandwiches or have other sides like pasta salad. Wish they had a few more unique sauces on the side, however they melt in your mouth without any sauce! Friendly staff too.
