Best groomer ever!! We adopted a maltipoo who was 8 months old. We were her 3rd home due to past, unforeseen circumstances. I didn't want to change too many things until our puppy got more comfortable with us so I kept taking her there. It's a bit of a drive but I couldn't imagine ever taking my little girl anywhere else. I had heard good things from other Doodle owners about Prancing Poodle, but when I called to get a price on trimming my dogs paws/pads and sanitary area they would not do this trim service unless they also bathed and brushed her out (she is already bathed and fully brushed) They quoted me $50! Which is excessive. I dont want to be forced in to a full service my dog doesnt need. I can do a walk in and have exactly the trim she needs at Gentle Touch for less than $30 with no requirement to add bathing and brushing read more

I have an 8 month old cocker pup. The 1st groomer I took her to, couldn't groom her, said she was too stressed, 2nd groomer I took her to, did an okay job for a squirmy puppy, but not great. Kat did a beautiful job with my pups summer shave cut. It was a busy Saturday and I made an appointment well in advance which I suggest. Worst, most unkind grooming facility I have ever been to. My dogs' appointment for a full groom was at 10:00am. When I left, they said it will be 4 hours max. I went back at 2:30pm when I hadn't heard from them. When I walked in, my dog was clawing, crying, and screaming behind the counter in a crate. It wasn't because she heard me, she was just in complete, utter, dire, distress. No less than 5 workers were totally ignoring her. She is a calm, gentle, sweet animal. Every other groomer she has ever been to, has commented on how cooperative she is. That's 5 years of monthly grooming. When I asked if she had been outside or had water (a hot day) they said she has had a bath and is brushed out, but has not been cut. One lady said she brushed out her mats. I brush my dog daily, she has no mats. Their only comment was they were busy. If you can't get a grooming done in 4 1/2 hours why make an appointment. I paid for a bath, and left. If there was an agency to call to report abuse I would do so. I strongly advise avoiding this place. If I could give a negative ten star review I would. read more

Best place ever! I have four chihuahuas, and asked on Facebook the best place for nail clipping. The Prancing Poodle came highly recommended. It is a walk in appointment, and our dogs were taken in immediately. We have one very nervous dog, complete with NERVOUS vest, and she needed a muzzle. She proceeded to poop for every nail clipped!! They were so kind, caring, understanding, and loving. I'm sure they don't look forward to our return, HA HA, but we will be back! read more

I've been taking my Sheltie to Kathleen for at least five years, and she's always done a great job. She obviously loves animals, and she pays attention to her clients, both human and furry. She alerted me to a skin condition my dog had developed that I hadn't even noticed, and then she bathed him in special medicated shampoo for months afterward. Bottom line - Kathleen is an excellent groomer, and she's a sweetheart on top of it all. I highly recommend her! read more

We have a toy poodle / bischon 2 year old dog (baby). We have ventured around looking for the right groomer for us. Well I found it!! I absolutely love this place Kathleen and the others, they are great! I love the feel of the place. Very open and helpful. No rushing you in and or out! The very cute dogs waiting are all so content! There's something about having a good feeling and when you find it, you know this is it. If your aware of this mixed breed they have crazy hair, almost like dreadlocks. My dog not only is trimmed perfectly ready for a show! But he is like a live teddy bear with the smoothest hair. Which I could never do! So yes I highly recommend this salon.. read more

We found Kathleen a few years ago and can't say enough good things about her. She is incredibly talented. We have two springer spaniels, and they both love her. They look wonderful after being groomed, and she is very patient with one who doesn't like his paws handled, and the other who doesn't like the dryer. She keeps current on grooming trends, and her depth of knowledge of dogs is truly impressive. We always know that our fur babies are safe with Kathleen. Kathleen at the Prancing Poodle does excellent work. She is very knowledgeable about grooming and anxious to work with you to get the cut you want on your dog. I had a Cavalier King Charles when I first went to her and, now, have a Maltese Shih-tzu mix. I would recommend her to any dog owner no matter what breed. read more

I found this groomer a few months ago and I am so glad I did. My dogs like going for their "spa days" now. Kathleen and crew are great with the dogs, they are reasonably priced, do an excellent job grooming and are super nice. They take all dogs but are award winning, skilled AKC dog groomers so they can handle the professional dog show grooming too. They also don't try to talk you into doing this, that and the other like I've experienced at nearly all other groomers. They're just great!! read more
