Great place for all your basic pool needs if you currently own your own pool. Maybe they do pool installs and major service but I've not had those needs to even ask. But keeping my pool clear and clean this summer was two thumbs up. Appreciate the friendly and knowledgeable customer service. read more

ZERO STARS. The guy showed up- said he didn't have the parts and would be back later that day or tomorrow but would let us know. Never showed up. Never called. The next day he showed back up. Didn't let us know he was coming or anything. Literally just looked and saw a man in my back yard. He left a ton of trash in our yard including a drink bottle in our driveway (so disrespectful) and left..we assumed he was coming back but NOPE. HOURS PASSED BY. My husband called the company and they carelessly said "oh he didn't call you?" Then they explained that he wasn't strong enough to undo the bolts on our pool pump so he just left????????? Didn't tell us and they never even offered to send someone that was capable of the job. How can you employ someone who can't even turn a bolt? It took my husband no time to do it. Seriously, pool place, Do better. They suggested to my husband that they couldn't undo the bolts & he would have to do it himself. My husband even offered the people oil to use on the bolts and they still didn't send anyone! My husband told them he wasn't paying the install fee and they eventually agreed to that. However now we are stuck with a $300 pool pump that isn't connected and a pool that we can't use. Our pool is in worse shape before and they have offered us no help. We have called and called and they won't return our calls. Terrible customer service and unhelpful employees. Literally this seems like a joke. Save yourself the money and time. Seriously. We decided to use them because they were the only company available for 2 weeks and we wanted to use our pool- but now we see why they have no business and weren't booked. They are unworthy of ANYONE'S business. Made this yelp page just to warn others of this scam. read more

They never cleaned the filter and it was full of garbage. The cancelled appointments set me back and caused me a great deal of additional expense. The company has YET to contact me as stipulated they would call me back to discuss the issue of the pool. I spent almost $2000.00 pm this pool that was never properly serviced and had not been able to use it until I switched to another company which repaired and serviced the pool. I have NOW been able to use my pool at 1/20th the expense. I would NOT recommend this pool company!

I think our old liner failed due to ants as our pool is in a heavily wooded area. Nate was able to explain the pros and cons of different solutions to this type of issue and so decided on a barrier pad installed under the liner. We were pleased with the whole process and installation and highly recommend PoolSmart. We will be using him for all our future pool needs.

I've been a Lusk customer for about 4 years, for new pool owner education, maintenance, annual…read moreopenings and closing, water testing. I'm sad to write this review. In December I asked them to schedule the install a salt water system...I didn't get other estimates bc I trusted Lusk and their service department. Strangely, it took me about 3 weeks to finalize a date (after I signed a contract) because Miranda, who handles this, never returned emails or voice messages, was available to take a call, or was in the office when I stopped by. I finally insisted on speaking with someone else, and scheduled the conversion for my pool opening date, which they recommended. Had it been another company I would have bailed based on lack of responsiveness. I called on the scheduled date to get an arrival window and was told the salt water was happening the next week, another communication issue. Bc the water level in my pool was low, they couldn't fully open pool that day but said they would do it when they converted the pool in one week. The next week, I called about 9:30am on the day of the conversion to inquire about arrival window and was told they weren't working that day due to potential rain...just another communication issue. I had to wait til they heard from Miranda for a reschedule date but requested they at least finish the opening quickly. One day later I was called and told they may be able to install salt generator at the end of the week, but I would need to give them a 50% deposit. I was extremely puzzled, especially considering I reached out many times, by email and phone, in December asking if there was anything they needed from me beyond the signed contract. I told them to forget the saltwater, just finish the opening (which I was charged for the first day, before it was completed). They did come out two days later to open and did a very subpar job. They never vacuumed the debris from my pool, just skimmed and swept it to the deep end. I spent about three days backwashing constantly bc of the debris. Had to run my pool bot about 4 times a day, emptying the basket after 30 minutes bc it was filled with debris...couldn't even climb the walls bc it was so full. After a little research I discovered Miranda is the new co-owner of Lusk, along with her husband. Maybe it's just taking them a minute to figure out how to run a business, and I do hope they figure it out bc this business used to be a gem. Until that happens, beware.

We also needed some brick repair on a front yard wall and that was handled nicely as well.

I marked the outline of the driveway expansion with some small red flags. When the company arrived in the morning, they knew exactly what to do and went right to work. Once the cement truck left, the workers stayed for a couple of hours to put the finishing touches on the slab. I am very pleased with the end result.

I even confirmed the appointment a few days before because I forgot the time of the appt. I wasted a vacation day for that. I called them the following week and they rescheduled saying it was a scheduling error. No worries, they do send some folks to fix my hot tub a couple days later. But, instead of replacing the broken part, they decided to try to caulk it instead. 10 minutes later, they're on their way. I followed their instructions and kept the hot tub off 2 days to allow time for the caulk to dry. However, after 2 days, the heater was leaking the same amount of water as before. It wasn't a bad leak and I totally understand why they tried caulk but at least give me a credit if the jerry-rig doesn't work. $135 / hour is a lot of money for effectively nothing. After noticing the leak wasn't fixed, I called back to get an estimate for the actual repair. It has been weeks and they have never gotten back to me and they have never offered a credit for their bad advice and workmanship. If you're willing to pay $135 for nothing, please feel free to give them a call.

We met with 5 pool contractors. We narrowed it down to 2. One said that if we wanted to use the pool this summer we would need to wait to begin, Thrasher Pool said they could get it done. After speaking with a few references and another meeting with Chris we had the confidence we needed that Thrasher could meet our aggressive schedule to be swimming this summer. Construction began March 28th and we were swimming by June 1st. Chris Fogelman provided excellent design advice, and was receptive to changes and additions that we made during the process. Thrasher is professional, dedicated and offer an elite level of service yet their pricing was in line with other bids. Our pool is gorgeous!! The fountains come on each night at 7pm and beckon us outside. We highly recommend Chris and his team at Thrasher Pool and Spa.
