Seating is limited to about 6-8 counter seats, so it's definitely more of a quick stop than a sit-down restaurant. The only downside is the location--it's a little tucked away and not the easiest place to get to. Overall though, I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for fresh poke or Hawaiian-style lunch plates.

You can choose up to three without incurring additional costs. I selected red cabbage, cucumbers and seaweed salad. For my three toppings, I chose masago, jalapenos and fried onions. To finish the bowl off, I selected spicy mayo and added $1 to my cost to get today's special, a piece of tempura shrimp added. I took my bowl to go. There was soy sauce and wasabi available for eating in or take out. The owner/manager also gave me a small bowl of miso soup. The verdict: Excellent lunch! The miso was very good. I am generally not a huge fan of miso, but this was great! The ingredients in the bowl all appeared to be very fresh and were certainly tasty. Bravo! I definitely think that King Kuma is a winner and a great place to go for a reasonably priced healthy lunch.
