Big space with lots of seats. Ordering at the kiosk was easy and the drink came out fast within few minutes. Similar experience and good boba like other KungFu Tea franchises. No complaints read more

We've made this a tradition when we come visit family. Our daughter loves this place and so do we. Drinks are always delicious. Staff is always kind and courteous. Our order is ready quickly. My daughter especially loves the chalk board, she draws something as we wait. read more

This was my first time seeing poke at Kung Fu tea! For a midwest establishment, their poke had pretty standard ingredients, nothing I hadn't seen before. I got their spicy tuna and salmon, and I liked how they gave decently sized pieces of fish. Unlike other places I've seen, rather than a scoop, the fish came in individual slices, which I think is more satisfying to eat. I really like the drinks here as well, and my go-to is the wintermelon tea with cheese foam. However, one thing about KFT is that their drinks are pretty sweet, even after lowering the sweetness to 50%. The prices for kft are pretty reasonable, given how much you're getting. Would definitely come again for the poke! read more

First of all, the boba is perfect! There are so many options and they all seem delicious! The shrimp tempura was VERY good! The popcorn chicken has good flavor but I wished it came with its own dipping sauce. The bathrooms were a little out dated but the overall ambiance of the restaurant was nice! read more

King Fu Tea has a variety of bubble teas, teas, sandwiches and more! Located right in the heart of the UIUC campus, it makes a great location to stop by for a quick drink or food, or stop by to meet up with friends. I enjoyed the coconut milk tea and appreciated that I was able to adjust the sweetness to my liking, looking forward to visiting again! read more

My favorite bubble tea place in Champaign. The service is always nice. I love how gentle they are while taking orders, even though it's always busy. I always get the Oolong Milk tea with Nata jelly(I hate it how I don't get nata jelly at a lot of places in Chicago, but I digress). I tried their Honey oolong milk tea but it's too sweet for my taste, and we can't change the sugar preferences in this. I also love their poke bowl, popcorn chicken. Not a fan of takoyaki, it could be better. That's no reason to knock off any stars because they are open till midnight every day and they have board games. Also it's one of the few places that would be open during holidays too, Labor Day, thanksgiving and all which is awesome for international students like me. read more

Kung fu tea is one of the best boba places on campus! I love getting their milk teas with boba. The boba is naturally very sweet and make the drink 10x better! I really like the environment here as it is a perfect place to grab a bite, boba and hang out with a big group of friends read more

Kung fu tea is a chain, so it's pretty standardized whenever you go. What I love about this location is their build your own poke bowls. In the summers, they have deals for buy a poke bowl get a free boba which is super legit. The poke bowl comes with miso soup and definitely hits the spot for a seafood craving. read more

Lots of options to choose from on the menu, I'm never too sure what to order so I tend to ask for recommendations. The cashier didn't give me recommendations that helped with my selection so I randomly chose on my own. I give it 4 stars for efficiency and quality but for customer service it needs improvement with giving more suggestions and asking questions to figuring out a customer's taste pallet. read more

Wow. Now this is a yummy place to visit. If you are in the mood for bubble tea and sushi look no more. I just had myself a honey milk tea with bubbles and a sushi burrito. And they are amazing. Especially the burrito. I swear I could eat here everyday. Be sure to check out their menu as they have a bunch of options for both drinks and food. I can't go into detail on all the options. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is due to their location and cost. The items are a bit pricey but it's fine for a bi-weekly treat. Also it's hard to find parking. The location is close to the heart of campus so it's easier to reach for student walking then those of us with cars. Overall I highly recommend if you are in the area. The sushi burrito alone was amazing. But I can also get me my bubble tea fix. I'll be back for sure! read more

I've only had their boba tea here and not their food so I can only speak from their drinks. First of all, this location is fairly large and they have many tables to eat and chill. It can get really busy, especially during peak times, and you might not be able to social distance... during these pandemic days. The service is really fast. They have a lot of staff and make drinks really fast. Just remember they do add an extra fee for credit card purchases of less than $10 (I think $10) but it's always something they don't always mention. read more

My poke bowl was great. Good amount of fish and everything tasted great! I constructed my poke bowl to make it taste as close as possible to a sushi roll. The people are friendly and I do enjoy the winter melon with crystal boba. I would totally go back to kung fu tea again.

I previously had a really good review of this place when it had just opened but my last couple visits have left a pretty negative impression. Since my first review I've had the following drinks: -Longan Tea -Kf Milk Tea -Yakult Grapefruit Tea And they were all beyond subpar. I had several subsequent visits because I thought the gross drinks were a fluke but I'm starting to see now that they likely are not. On my last visit, the Kung Fu Milk tea was so disgusting I felt extremely naseuous afterwards. I even requested that they remake it. I thought it might be an issue of sweetness but even after it was adjusted the drink was very sour and tasted a little like mildew. I wish they had the option of getting a different drink. I even had a friend try it and they almost spit it out because it was disgusting. Everything I said previously about the decor, service, and atmosphere still stands but it seems that the quality of the drinks has tanked. read more

I really enjoyed Kung Fu Tea. My mom was in town for the weekend so we swung by for lunch. Loved the happy vibe. At first we were a bit daunted by the volume of options. Tip: there's a paper to fill out at the front with your poke bowl selection. Grab that when you enter and fill it out before approaching the counter. We didn't know that at first. If you order tea there are also a series of questions to answer. They will ask the amount of ice and sugar, for example. My mom was confused when the cups came out upside down The food was amazing and I definitely want to return and try different flavor combinations, for the tea and bowls. read more

This is a great poke bowl option in Campustown. Simple checklist for what you want in it instead of being pressured to walk down a counter and choose as you go. I've been to a couple other in the area, but this spot was the most spacious and also fairly priced! If you're looking for a sushi burrito this is also a great spot for that! I went with 2 friends and we each got very similar bowls, but all great! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because their miso soup seemed a little watered down and their customer service felt rushed for it not being that busy. read more

I went in there once and the bubble tea there is kinda expensive (around 7$), to be honest (as for a cup of bubble tea with boba with no ice and 30% sugar). I didnt expect it to be black tea so it tasted bitter (obviously, that's how I know it was black tea ) and so I couldnt sleep until later on after midnight. I don't know if it's because I didn't pay attention enough, but there should be information about what's inside the milk tea and how much caffeine would be in there.(It's because I drank milk tea back in Vietnam before and I have never lost sleep before) read more

definitely my favorite poke spot on campus! their sauces are really flavorful and the seafood tastes very fresh, especially the eel. they recently reduced the sizes of the bowls and increased the prices, but it's still a decent amount of food for around $15-16. would recommend! read more

I've been here a few times since moving down to Champaign. I was originally drawn to their drinks and ordered online through DoorDash and they didn't disappoint. Every time I've ordered, my order is ready or literally coming up when I come in. They do get quite busy so it's always surprising that my food is always ready. My boyfriend and I have wanted to try their sushi burritos and we just did, they were absolutely amazing. Through DoorDash, there's certain types of burritos to choose from but in the restaurant, you can customize it. They make it really convenient by having you fill out sheets with what you want so you don't hold up the line and it keeps it all organized for them in the kitchen. All in all, I've only had pleasant experiences here and expect to keep having good visits. read more

First, I would like to say that I got super hyped when I saw that Kung Fu Tea was going to open a location in Champaign. Every time I go to Chinatown in Chicago, I would go to Kung Fu Tea (yes, over Joy Yee because I'm not a fan of the big bottom cups). Did it meet my expectations? Yes. I got the sushi burrito, which came with a side of miso soup. You have the option of picking two proteins, 3 veggies, up to 2 sauces, and some sort of topping (sesame seeds, tempura crumbs, etc.). The protein choices were tofu and an assortment of seafood. I got mine with spicy crab salad, tempura shrimp, cream cheese, avocado, asparagus, and wasabi mayo. At first, the burrito looked tiny, but it was actually incredibly filling. The seafood tasted fresh and the proportions of everything relative to each other was perfect. The wasabi mayo added a nice kick. My friend who was full after eating 3/4 of it kept on going and finished it all. She mustered the pain of overeating because it was that good. I didn't get anything to drink this time, but I took of my friend's honey tea, and it was super refreshing and had the perfect sweetness level. It didn't deviate from what I expect from Kung Fu Tea. My only complaint is that the entire process of getting the sushi burrito took a while, but I also went to their soft opening. I'm sure it'll improve as they figure things out. read more

I was initially excited to eat here, per the suggestion of someone who frequented the restaurant. However, when I began eating part of my order (fried calamary) I realized that it had been terribly overcooked. It took a better part of 3 minutes to chew a single bite. I walked back to the counter, showed them the food and expressed that it was overcooked. She told me that it was "because of the salt and pepper" and that it was always cooked like this. I asked for something else. She refused. Finally, after a little back and forth, she said that they would remake it, but it would be the same. With my back slightly turned, and as I began to walk away I saw her speak to one of her co-workers (in a language that I could not understand) and laugh. When she noticed that I had seen her, her laugh abruptly stoped and her smile quickly left. How rude!! The sad thing is that she was right. The second order was as disappointing as the first. I just took a bite and chewed for 2.5 minutes this time, instead of 3. read more

Every drink I have tried here has been delicious. They sell snack foods as well. The interior is nice, hip, and spacious. Great place to hang out with friends or study. They use quality ingredients in their beverages. There are great instructions on how to modify your beverage's ice and sugar level. Out of all Champaign's options, this is probably my favorite bubble tea spot. The one in Chicago is just as good. Just be ready to spend. When you add more to enhance the drink, it gets even more expensive. But there are so many creative additions that it is hard to resist adding some. Highly recommend this place if you enjoy bubble tea and sweet drinks. read more

First poke bowl experience and I absolutely loved it! I didn't know how I'd feel about poke bowls but this was SO good! You can build your own so you get to make it exactly how you like. The good: clean and reasonably fast The bad: food was average (poke bowl, takoyaki, miso) The really ugly: there were 3 pieces of salmon in my poke bowl. The takoyaki balls were sliced in half (effectively only 3). The pictures were so deceptive. The food is not generous and is even bordering stingy. I feel so cheated for the price I paid (~18). Holy balls (or half balls I should say) read more
