We skipped the beans and cilantro. And asked for no spice. Looks nothing like the pictures. Just a burrito stuffed with all white rice and chicken . Too much rice. Next time will skip the chicken. Incredibly Disappointing - Terrible Food, Bad Service, & Hidden Fees…read more The Food: A Massive Letdown I ordered a shredded beef burrito, and the meat tasted like boiled, unseasoned, stale beef. Zero flavor. My wife ordered the beef birria tacos, and unfortunately, it was the exact same bad flavor. If you do decide to risk eating here, you better stick to chicken or steak, because the shredded beef is a complete miss. As for the rest of our meal: The Good: My son got the quesadillas and said they were good. The queso dip from the sampler appetizer was also really tasty. The Average: The beans were just okay. The Bad: The guacamole was definitely not fresh. The Service: Non-Existent The service was just as bad as the food. There was only one other couple in the entire restaurant, yet the waitresses seemed annoyed and completely too busy to care. I honestly felt like I was at a self-service fast-food joint rather than a sit-down restaurant. The Ultimate Dealbreaker: Hidden Fees! The absolute worst part came when the bill arrived. If you pay with a credit card, they slap you with an extra 3.5% fee! This is ridiculous, and we were never told about it until it was time to pay. When I brought it up, the lady rudely told me "there is a sign on the wall." You can't even see the sign! I am posting photos with this review just so everyone can see how incredibly small and hidden that sign actually is. Save your money and go somewhere else where they actually season their beef, care about their customers, and don't sneak hidden fees onto your bill.

I…read moreasked for the items to be ready off, met with a grunt and groan but read to me none the less, close to fifteen or more in total. Forgive me if I stumble upon the exact names - the chicken asada, avocado and cambia stuck in my head and upon completion I asked for my total - $25. & change. Seemed kinda pricey and when I got inside my mind was partially absorbed by the cool surf decor and the woman writing checks at the counter who barely raised a brow to my presence. An older fella was in the back preparing - it was Tuesday at noon, a table of clucking hens outside, myself and two additional workers inside. Both visually unhappy bloated people that had an unpleasant stare and aura. My food was doing upon the counter in such a uncared for way that I thought to myself "this can't possibly be mine", it was. On the bright side of matters, the tacos were dense with the assigned ingredients, heavy chicken, fish and avocado to be sure. And remember three stars isn't a bad review, but there was a few things about the place I just didn't like. Walking in, my hopes were high as the building and ramp entrance was adorable, as mentioned, I really liked the interior design - but I must report the lowest grades for staffing - asking for a implement for hot sauce was not easy and seamless - it's a downer feel to what could be and should be good vibrations.

Fire Tacos is a food truck that serves up tacos and other Mexican food favorites. The food truck…read moredefinitely has seen better days, but I have found that the best Mexican food does not come from flashy type places, but rather these humble places. It is my humble opinion that the more ambiance a Mexican place has, odds are that the food will suffer. This is not always the case, but more often than not, I find that the fancier the place, the food suffers more. I went up to the food truck and scanned the menu. Let me start out by saying that their tacos on corn tortillas was $2.50. Quite a bargain. I got three tacos and was charged $7.50. The woman at the one side took my money and almost instantaneously, another woman handed me my tacos. I opted for a carne asada taco,a carnitas taco, and a chorizo taco. They were pretty well packed with meat, especially for the relatively low price point (some might even say downright cheap). They were also pretty tasty. I also liked the salsas that came with my tacos. I will say that I preferred the red salsa over the green salsa, but both were very good. Fire Tacos was definitely a pretty good choice if you are in the Sarasota, Florida area or if you are passing through (the truck is not located far off of Interstate 75). I would definitely recommend Fire Tacos and I will give it five stars overall. Go check it out for yourself. I do not think that you will be disappointed.

I'm in town for a work trip and was craving some tacos, so I ordered birria from here today, and I also put in a horchata. I would say the birria was like a 4/5 from me - it was very good but a bit too greasy, and they also didn't include napkins, which kind of made it worse. It had a ton of limes with it, and for some reason a ton of cucumbers as well, both of those were on the side. The consommé was pretty good with it, but I had to put a lot of lime on the tacos to really bring out the flavor, which I shouldn't have to do. The reason this review is three stars and not four is because of the Horchata, which unfortunately I would give like two stars. It was very chalky and not very sweet. Definitely a bummer because I love horchata so I was looking forward to having it with my meal. My driver actually forgot it, but brought it back so I had to make an extra trip down to my hotel lobby for it as well, though of course that is not the fault of the restaurant. It arrived kind of lukewarm as well. I'm still sipping it as I write this review, but it was definitely a huge disappointment. Overall, I would order from this restaurant again if in the area, but I would probably try the quesadilla or something else from the menu.
