Pilates is a new experience for me. After four private sessions with Beth and Erin to start, I am now taking classes and am very much liking working on the reformer, the caring and careful instruction I receive and how I feel strengthened and stretched. The space is basic and unpretentious, the small class size is great as it allows for individual attention, and the approach is a good combination of friendly and focused. read more

I've been incorporating privates into my Pilates practice and this is such a lovely place to do it! Small, bright studio with all the classical equipment you need. Small parking lot, off the alley in the back. read more

This place is great as it's a normal studio that feels like youre in a private class It's small and offers 6 reformers per class And very first timer friendly I found pilates connection through class pass and tried their jump x reformer class for the first time. Erin was very friendly and welcoming. Ive also taken bonnies regular reformer and jump class, which were also great! Theres a small parking lot available for patrons and lots of neighborhood parking Because of smaller class sizes spots definitely fill up quick read more

I just went here as someone trying Pilates for the first time and I had an amazing experience. I was initially nervous because I'm not familiar with the workout, but Bonnie was really helpful by making the instructions easy to understand, and she offered help anytime I needed it. I highly recommend coming here! read more

Pilates Connection was my very first Pilates Studio I had ever attended and will always hold a special place in my heart! Beth is an amazing instructor and her studio feels like more of a private class! I highly recommend her studio, if your looking for a unique boutique studio! Don't get squeezed in to others studios because large group classes are not safe! read more

Awful experience - will not return. This is for the Venice location. It's a shame I have to give a business one star but this studio employs one of the rudest instructors I have ever worked with - Valerie. 1. I booked through the MindBody app and it charged one card 3 times and another once. This is likely the app's fault but when I came into class early to show them I paid and wanted to attend Valerie literally held up the class and repeatedly gave me a hard time even though I showed her my credit card! She did the same afterward and took my phone number down after another instructor had already done so. It was disrespectful and embarrassing. No class at all. 2. More than likely as a form of punishment (after recognizing my clear dismay with their billing issue) she insulted me several times during class. I felt extremely uncomfortable and have NEVER had an instructor make me feel this way. This is a shame as technically Valerie is great and definitely knows her jump board pilates. Please bring your manners up to speed with your technical skills. read more

Not a single class is the same. I came by twice so far and each time, my body was wrecked in an amazing way. I felt one session gives me a full week's work out. My first class, I even looked up how much a reformer machine would be. Saw the price tag and decided against investing in something that would be a low budget car lol. I typically park on the residential street right after it and usually find ample parking. read more

I have been meaning to write this as I have been coming here for a year and a half. I broke my ankle in 2017 and was almost 300lbs. I had to recover at my moms as I had too many stairs. As soon as I was able to walk someone suggested Pilates to strengthen my ankle. (I thought it was a rich skinny girl thing) Pilates connection is the most reasonable priced Pilates in the area. The instructors are nothing but lovely and have pushed me through my whole process. I now am 185 lbs today. I used to do soul cycle before my injury and never saw ANY results! I have never felt stronger! I played volleyball in high school and college and never had a six pack. I can see one coming in now. I do suggest you do 5 privates before you join the group classes and there were some days I felt stupid cause I couldn't move but everyday I saw more and more results. I have so many neighbors who now go because they see my results! PILATES CONNECTION is amazing! read more

Pilates classes on reformer machines usually have small classes of 12 or fewer, but I like that this location of The Pilates Connection has only 5 reformers for truly small classes and individualized attention from the instructor. I have been looking for a pilates studio closer to home for the weekends so I bought a five class Groupon and tried out the studio this past weekend with Feran. I was pleased that the reformer cardio class here was as challenging as my usual studio, and I LOVE that the jumpboards were actually cushioned! That made a big difference on my knees as the cardio classes at any reformer pilates studio usually has around 20-30 minutes of straight jumping in a one hour class. The equipment was all very new, and the studio is like a small studio apartment and pretty plain inside. It looks like the studio is commercial space that was previously an apartment complex along Centinela. It is a bit noisy from the street traffic, but the good thing is that once the studio door is closed, you don't really hear the noise during your workout. They don't currently have air conditioning, which isn't a problem right now during the winter months, but I can imagine it would get hot during the summer. read more

Five stars for Beth and Trisha Lee. They flow like nobodies business. Which is why I didnt much like the other teachers but you still might based on how you like a class to go. I need seamless movement from exercise to exercise much like dance and yoga do and I found the other teachers to not excel at such. Nicole. Total sweetheart. I think just a note on getting her flow solid and she'd be top notch as well. Just a tad to jerky for me. It takes me out of the groove. A new teacher-Jewelyn, was a def no for me. If you want to excel in her class you better know all the proper names for the exercises as she calls them out rather than a description of the exerciser itself, which left me flailing around looking to others to see what position I needed to be in. And the classes are much more uptempo (quicker counts) so youre just jumping from move to move without a moment to really get in touch with your body/core. Again, that's not my thing but it may be yours. I tired another girl but she left so itdoesnt matter. Lastly Kelly, also a sweetheart but who too could benefit form getting her practice to flow better from move to move. I really cant say enough good things about Beth or Trisha Lee, the latter whose knowledge of anatomy and how the body works is outstanding. Plus she gets in there with the corrections and adjustments and I love that. Good vibes. Good lady. read more

When I found Beth, is when I finally learned to love. pilates. It was the first time I was able to incorporate a workout that I enjoyed into my life! (I am not an exercise junky by any stretch!). Beth's choreography is always changing and always keeping me on my toes. And the very best part, she acknowledges people of all skill levels and actually provides variations for all moves. I've been to many studios where the only exercises are advanced pilates moves and nothing else. Am I the only girl in LA that can't handle the crazy, intense studio classes out there? I have also taken classes with other instructors between both locations. They are all decent instructors but no one really kept me coming back except for Beth. She has a sweet personality and always makes me feel comfortable and welcome. Parking is fairly easy for this location. Either in the small lot adjoining jack in the box. Or in the neighboring streets. The studio is clean, machines are up-to-date, and there is a small bathroom in the studio. read more

This studio is pretty horrible. The machines are cheap. The space is really ugly and unpleasant. Parking is a pain. The teachers just count the number of reps for you, rather than give corrections. I'm sure this studio will close down in the near future. It's that bad. Pilates is a great form of exercise, but I recommend finding another studio. read more

I love this place! I can walk there and specifically go for Jewelyn's jump classes. She has such a great energy! Her jump classes are amazing!!!! They are top notch and fast paced. She pushes you to want to improve and do better. You walk out of class feeling GREAT and KNOW you had the best workout!!! read more

I love the Pilates Connection for several reasons. They have two convenient locations, one in Mar Vista and the other in Marina Del Rey. There is only street parking for both but, I never have a problem getting parking close by. All the instructors are AMAZING! I particularly love the 4:00pm time slot on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday class with Talia and Jewelyn. These ladies kick your butt in the best possible sense. I leave their class feeling successful in my practice but yet these ladies challenge me the entire class making sure I'm getting a hard workout! Love it and appreciate them so much! I would love a Thursday 4:00 pm class too, hint hint... All the classes are small because there are maximum 5 reformers which makes for personal attention from the instructors. I also appreciate that if there is only one student signed up for a class, the studio does not cancel the class, therefore you maybe lucky enough to get a private training session. Many studios will cancel the entire class if only person is signed up. "I hate that!" Since I have started with Pilates Connection I have noticed my body become toned and strong! Many of my friends, colleagues and family members have complimented me on my physical appearance and have asked me what I'm doing? My clothes fit better and I am buying clothes now to show off my figure rather than hide it. Thank you Pilates Connection!!! read more

Took a couple beginner classes with Valerie. She was very patient and explained every detail for our class.

The place was small and stuffy (no air) Teacher was obnoxious and not attentive I've done pilates for years This was not a great place overall read more

I just finished another great Pilates session at this place. I found it through Groupon around 6 months ago. It took me a moment to find my favorite instructors and now it's one of my staples during the week. I love Jewelyn because her classes are no nonsense and intense. I know that I am going to be pushed and get a good workout. I also like Brittney. She has that magical way of getting you to access those small, deep muscles. Nadia is also good. She is very specific and technical. I'm so glad that I stuck with this place and discovered these ladies. read more

I did give it a try when I saw the Groupon deal. It's great, just perfect size 5 machines, great ambience and positive energy. I did several classes now and all the instructors I meet, they are just great. I love it. read more

Small group classes (5 students max) make this studio such a great find! All of the instructors are great and lead very balanced classes, especially Beth! The routines are always changed up a bit and never get boring. The small classes allow for a good level of individual attention, and the instructors also provide overall feedback on improvement, and how students can incorporate things to make exercises more challenging (or easier, if you have an injury or are pregnant). I started as a total beginner and felt like I was in great hands. Unlike some studios I've tried on the West side of LA, this one doesn't feel clique-y at all, and has a variety of attendees of different ages/genders/races. Plus, the parking is easy, and the cost is affordable. There's a great Groupon deal for the first few classes. My only complaint is that I wish there were even more classes! read more

I have done Pilates on and off for a few years. I really like how small the classes are and I think the location is great. I have taken classes with different instructors and I like some styles better then others, but they are all good. Every one of them pays attention to form, I never feel like I am not in good hands. The schedule of classes is very good and I always feel great after a class (tired, but great!). I highly recommend this studio. read more

Excellent Pilates workout. Good parking for morning classes and great instructors. Very helpful and friendly! Highly recommended.

This is the second pilates studio I've tried so far and I love it. The instructors are very hands-on and attentive. I purchased a Groupon deal and getting classes scheduled was simple and convenient. The studio is small, clean, and located across from Jack in the Box on the 2nd floor. read more

Great instructors and very clean space! Both the Marina and Mar Vista locations are easily accessible.

This is my favorite Pilates studio. Beth is a great instructor. If you're looking for a teacher that caters to all levels give her group reformer and reformer/jump-board combo classes a try. They're well-paced and a lot of fun!! read more

Love it! Purchased a Groupon to test the Pilates waters and I am hooked. Part of that is the fact that the class sizes are small, I get the attention I need from the instructors, and I am challenged during the workout but so much so that I never want to return. I like the fact that the studio is minimal and everyone there is there is focus on themselves. read more

l love this place. My first time on Pilates Reformer and it was perfect. Was't looking for a place where the body-beautiful-brigade hangs out and I'd feel intimidated. Instructors are great and first time there I found newbies like myself in my age category and everyone did well. Kristina is outstanding as an instructor. It felt like home. Parking was easy, only 5 beds so its easy to receive the help you need. So glad I found this place. Highly recommend it for regular people looking to get in shape. Of course there were some very toned people in some of my classes but always at least 1-2 others in my class who were just starting to get in shape. Staff is very friendly. Can't say enough about this place. read more
