I tried this studio through ClassPass for the first time today. To start, the instructor, Nandini, was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and approachable. As someone who is relatively new to both Pilates and ClassPass, I really appreciated how comfortable she made me feel walking into the class. The workout itself was on the easier side. It was exactly what I was looking for today--a more relaxed movement session rather than an intense workout. Personally, I would probably only return when I'm in the mood for something lighter, but that's purely a matter of preference. The reason I'm leaving this review, however, is because of an uncomfortable situation involving another attendee and her dog. In all my years of attending fitness classes, I have never seen someone bring a medium-sized dog into a reformer Pilates class and tie the leash directly to the reformer. The dog was positioned behind its owner, where another attendee and I were working. Throughout the class, the dog repeatedly approached us, attempted to lick us, sniffed our faces, and became tangled between the reformers. What surprised me most was that the owner never redirected the dog or acknowledged that it was disrupting the space of other participants. She appeared completely focused on her workout while everyone else was left to navigate around her pet. To Nandini's credit, she handled the situation with professionalism and kindness. She subtly tried to redirect the dog when it became a distraction, and I genuinely felt she was doing her best to manage an awkward circumstance. My frustration is not directed at the studio or the instructor, but at the pet owner. Bringing a dog into a fitness class is one thing; allowing it to freely interact with other participants in a confined workout space is another. Not everyone is comfortable with dogs approaching them during a class, and basic consideration for shared spaces goes a long way. Overall, Nandini was wonderful, and the studio itself was welcoming. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by a level of entitlement from a fellow attendee that made the class far less enjoyable than it should have been. read more

Not sure what's up with some of these reviews... place is great and I'm very critical ha. My sister & I have gone several times and only good things. Staff know what's up especially try Brittany for Pilates instructor. Clean & organized. Nice huge mirrors & love the street view. I did a comp Yoga class (thx Gayle) & Rene was great! I don't wanna give it away but great idea starting yoga on reformers, I'd be so down :) read more

Took Renee's class. To start, the parking is difficult even at 6 am. The machines look and feel like a Lego set was put together by a 5 year old. The teacher was not equipped to teach. She did not queue the postures, she was not counting down, she did not mention where to engage in each movement, her music made no sense and worst of all she was talking about her personal life and she had zero emotional intelligence. Will not return. read more

I found this studio on Classpass and decided to try it out based on the positive reviews. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. First off, the instructor did not pay attention to form as much as I would expect from a Pilates class. Instead, the class seemed much more focused on cranking out as many reps as possible. The workout itself didn't flow well, and I did not leave class feeling balanced and aligned like I do from my usual Pilates classes. In addition, the machines seemed old and bare bones, and the vibe of the studio was not very inviting. I'm sure others have had better experiences here, but I personally won't be returning. One note - if you do choose to take class here, be sure to give yourself PLENTY of time for parking. I went on a weeknight and had a lot of trouble finding a spot on the street. read more

I've never done Pilates before and was "asked" (more like forced) by my partner to see how difficult it truly was, and she was not wrong. We went to Vanessa's 10:30am class and it was absolutely brutal from start to finish. However, it was a really great workout and she, though direct, was very quick to lead by example in several of the workouts I was lost in. The studio itself was very clean and quaint with about twelve people being able to do a workout per session right off of Overland. Parking could be tricky depending on the day so create some time for that, and enjoy yourself a good workout. Pilates is no joke. read more

Parking: Can be tough, but there is free neighborhood parking across the street. Experience: I came to the 7:30am Friday class. It was my first time doing pilates and I signed up via ClassPass. I got there 15mins early and the instructor introduced herself and told me where to leave my stuff. There were only 6 of us in the class so the instructor could help me out a lot and adjust the weight of my reformer and correct everyone's form. I'm not sure how this compares to normal pilates but I thought it was a good workout and I was sore the day after. The studio is definitely bare bones and not as nice as other boutique fitness studios but it does the job. read more

I'm definitely a regular here. And I can tell you this is not a "chill" pilates class (instructor dependent), but I love It! I love the feeling of my legs shaking and my muscles aching the next day. Vannessa is probably my favorite instructor. She pushes you not to slack off during your workout and her class is tough. Her classes are usually fully packed. She does tend to start later than the scheduled time and finishes after the scheduled time with no cooldown but honestly, she works every muscle. I recommend her to every one of my friends read more

Tried out their introductory class at the "first class" rate. The class itself was fine and I think the pace was great for an introduction. I've taken Pilates reformers classes before, but at a new place like to ease into it to get a hang of their policies/equipment. Removed stars because 1) the reformers felt cheaper than some other machines I've been on and the studio is very barebones. I think this would sit better if the prices were more "budget-friendly", but they seem on par with other studios that I think had nicer amenities. And 2) our instructor didn't give the most "easy-to-understand" direction. The class itself was paced nicely, but there were multiple times I felt half the class was doing one exercise and the other half a completely different exercise. I attended with my two friends who were newer to Pilates and they each shared after the class they felt very confused at different times throughout the class. read more

I've been going to a variety of workout classes with different instructors for many years, and Jenn is one of the best instructors I've ever had. She remembers everyone's names, and personally really encourages and motivates everyone throughout the course of her class. She also asks for input at the beginning of the class to see if you have anything in particular that you want to work out. She always kicks my butt in the best way. Very challenging classes but she instructs so well and has adaptations you can make as needed. Would highly recommend. Also the studio is very clean with nice machine. Have never had any issues adjusting the springs. read more

Wow what a workout! I'm not a regular but having been several times over the last couple of weeks, I will be. This studio is not regular pilates. It's HIIP (high intensity interval pilates) pilates & you will sweat! You should at least be comfortable on a reformer before taking a class. If you're looking for 'old lady pilates' with feet in straps, this place is not for you. Having said that, you do not have to be a pilates expert to enjoy this studio. Like most places, you can put as much energy as you want into your workout. None of the instructors will shame you or call you out if you take a break or can't do a move. Instructors: They're all different. I like better than the others. Find one you like. Personally I like instructors that are going to push me to work harder (Keaton, Jose, Vanessa) & correct my form if needed. Some instructors's styles might intimidate people but those are the ones that I appreciate. Parking: Street parking only & there's lots of construction going on. Give yourself ample time to find residential parking & to walk to the studio. The studio is large, spacious & clean. My only 'complaint' is that newbies are not given any type of intro or instruction. I was not & I have seen people say it's their 1st time & the same thing. The class just starts. The instructors don't introduce themselves, they don't ask about injuries, nothing. My 1st time I had no idea how to change the springs. It's a custom reformer but they expect you to know how to use it? Having said that, if you've been on a reformer before it's not rocket science. read more

Really friendly and professional instructors who will remember your name and make you feel welcome. A great alternative to LA's pricey pilates studios. Great workout each time. read more

I've taken many workout classes from other studios and always felt ignored, so my form was also wrong, and the workout always ended up being ineffective. I usually weightlift on my own, but I decided to give P2 a try. I definitely felt the workout - it's effective. I've gone to most instructors here, and everyone has their personal teaching style. However, the instructors try to ask who is new to guide them through the class. They are now teaching classes for beginners, so I recommend going if you feel intimidated by Pilates for the first time. I enjoy coming here and have been doing it for about three months. They are under new management and rebranded themselves. It seems like they are putting a lot of effort into making this a great workout experience. I definitely recommend giving them a try! read more

I tried this Pilates class for the first time through class pass and though it was super fun, I found the overall class structure hard to follow and not super friendly towards beginners. I typically do Barry's or CorePower yoga classes and those are a lot easier to figure out than these reformer tables. I enjoyed trying something new and this studio is a nice one but I think they need to focus on a more introductory class for beginners. Since it was my first time, I was so lost for most of the class and I feel like it would be worth it to at least get a run down of how it works beforehand. read more

To begin, I do lagree consistently. I didn't know what to expect coming into this class with the "HIIP" description, but I found it was like a jailhouse lagree, not to be harsh. The machines are like janky megaformers. The springs are tough to switch, the carriage doesn't glide smoothly, there are squeaks and carriage slams, and it's slipperier. The space itself is pretty rudimentary and rough around the edges. That being said, the workout is EFFECTIVE and the instructor was amazing. She was not only helpful but motivating. She called us by name and was very personable. The load feels heavier than a typical lagree class, but I still got the shakes. I got a full body burn and was sore the next day. I was thrown off a little bit at first, but after completing the workout I would definitely go back. read more

I love this Pilates studio. It's not super fancy but the classes are hard!! All of the instructors are good but Vanessa is definitely my favorite, she is amazing! If you are a beginner or a pro to Pilates I recommend her classes. She corrects your form and encourages you to be better every time. She is so knowledgeable and offers modifications if you have an injury. I've been coming here for around 4 months and I'm very happy! read more

Yikes where do I start with this place. For context I have been practicing Pilates for years and while all studios have the agency to over their policies and practices, I do find it unacceptable when those policies are not explicitly detailed prior to clients scheduling. The lack of transparency and accountability makes this studio and more so its management in poor quality and not client oriented. The instructor and the machines were great, I got a good workout in for sure. I think the movement variations were great and the instructor was friendly. I did not appreciate a clients dog in the space. I know that LA has a big dog culture but this is unacceptable. If I knew dogs were in this space I would have never booked with this studio as I am allergic and some people just don't like dogs. Additionally, this studio is in a very sketchy part of Culver City and the door being left wide open where strange men can linger outside is in poor safety practices. Moreover when I brought these concerns up to the owner I received a very backhanded response of this "not being the studio for me since this is a community centered space. If you hold your Pilates studios to high expectations, I would avoid this studio. She stated nothing has happened before and our students like the fresh air is VERY naive and foolish. It only takes a moment for a deviant person to take an opportunity (like a wide open door where woman are in workout attire exercising and their guards are down) for a dangerous situation to arise. I've worked in criminal prosecution and let me tell you, you never expect an issue to arise until it does. We have to do all that we can to protect ourselves and that starts with a closed and locked door. (Which is a standard practice in all Pilates studios). My friends who are in the fitness industry all agreed this is an insanely irresponsible practice. All in all if you are looking for a beautiful studio with amazing customer service, better parking, I highly recommend pilatesmith or body process in Culver City! read more

Overall a good studio parking is a nightmare though. I don't have much experience in any teachers making hands on corrections so maybe not the best place for a beginner read more

It was my first time doing this and I was nervous to try it out . The class itself was brutal in the sense that it had me shaking and really challenged me. Vanessa was very welcoming and supportive. Would definitely recommend! read more

The studio is very bare bones compared to other studios in the area. The machines do not move smoothly and the springs are difficult to change. The bright overhead lighting is not flattering. I ended up moving to Studio MDR down the street which has much nicer machines and the pricing is similar. I echo other reviews saying that G50 classes are hard to follow and not beginner friendly. All this aside - the biggest issue for me was the instructor. She's very abrasive and inappropriate. She told me how SHE is in shape and I am not lol. She berates the class and made me feel uncomfortable. I spoke to other clients who had similar experiences and it doesn't seem like the business has done anything about it. read more

I've been coming to this location for a few months and I love it! I go to the Saturday morning class with Vanessa and she's great. She's very encouraging and will come to correct your form to ensure you're doing the exercises correctly. I understand that her teaching style may not be for everyone, but to me it feels like I have a personal trainer which I love. I definitely plan to continue visiting this location. read more

I went to go to Vanessa's class on Monday 8/1 and when I arrived to the studio I was pulled outside and accused of writing negative reviews of her previous classes on ClassPass. I told her multiple times that it wasn't me and that she could check my account yet she wouldn't drop it. She continued to press that it was me, exhibiting rude and aggressive behavior. I was extremely uncomfortable and upset leading me to leave before the class even began. I contacted the studio about what happened and they were very dismissive. I have brought multiple friends here but we will not be going back after the way I was treated. read more

WARNING DO NOT COME HERE! I never write reviews but I'm so disturbed by the owner Gayle Gluck. I want to start off by saying that the classes and teachers are amazing here! Vanessa teaches an amazing class. My review is for the owner, Gayle Gluck, who lacks common business practices. A little over a year ago I purchased two Pilates classes at G50 during a Black Friday and cyber Monday sale. These classes stated that they do not have an expiration date and can be used whenever. After seeing that one of the classes was no longer on my account, I contacted the horrible owner, Gayle Gluck. She refused to communicate with me over the phone and resorted to emailing back and forth. Gayle proceeded to tell me that they never had a sale on classes even though I purchased these classes through HER APP, the G50 app. Gayle did not want to honor my purchases and instead claimed she was giving me a "curtesy class." I don't understand why I would receive a curtesy class when I paid for two classes!!! I showed her receipts of my purchase as well, but she refused to acknowledge it and stated that I used one of the classes already. Even though I never did. She also stated that I had to book a class through email with her. When I asked her if I could come on a specific date she stated that the class is full. But she lied, because the class was not full and I was able to book the class on my own through the app. When I booked the class on the app She became very angry that I didn't book the class through her and threatened to kick me out of the class. She just wanted to make it difficult for me to book a class so that I don't come in and she can take my money. When I asked her to call me because I think there was a misunderstanding and lack of communication through email, she responded "nothing to say". Gayle Gluck, it is so disappointing that this is how you run a business. It is not only unethical but disturbing. I want to bring it to everyone's attention that the classes are great and the instructors are great but the owner Gayle Gluck is a horrible business owner and I no longer want to come due to her unethical business practices. read more

I've taken pilates classes at several different studios around town, and while P2 may not be as bougie as others, it's absolutely the most challenging workout I've had. The machines aren't fancy, the environment is spare, the instructor's microphone can be hard to hear over the music, but even still -- I think they have a great product. The teachers are all different, but uniformly great. I totally disagree with some of the posts about them being rude, or not asking about beginners -- I've been here a dozen times and seen none of that. And as a middle-aged guy surrounded by women far stronger than myself -- I'm always given assistance or advice when I frequently need it. It's a great workout and I'm sold. read more

This was once a fave for me because the classes were challenging and I felt welcomed but over time I noticed that changed fast. The classes were still a challenge but the instructors were not all that pleasant. They will get mad at you for not doing something and come over to aggressively correct you. At some points I felt like I was being spoken to like a child because I wasn't doing something right (which is why this is a class and I'm paying to be taught). Being that everyone in there is an adult, I didn't see the need to treat anyone that way. It wasn't just me who experienced this but other classmates and based on the comments, other individuals as well. Recently I received an email from them about their policies and even in the email you can feel the tone of aggression simply because they started with "It's on our walls, on your waivers and on class pass sites" when it comes to their cancellation policy. I think if their issue with cancellation has been that awful then maybe consider changing something that'll make it work, cancel classpass members if that seems to be the issue. I haven't missed a class or cancelled last minute but based on how that email started I just knew I wouldn't be going back there again. It's kind of a shame because up until the last few times I really enjoyed it here but they way they began to come off definitely turned me away and from what it sounds like, others are too. read more
