This was my first time trying out Pilates! It was so much fun! I love the studio and the location had parking in the back and also street parking. I'm used to studios having showers so leaving in my sweat clothes isn't ideal for me but it's not deal breaker. Our instructor was great! She was subbing for the main teacher but she did great. Easy to follow and she made sure to call out cues clearly through her headset. I will say i want to come back and try the reformer next. I like that they offer a variety of classes because of that reason i will return! read more

Fantastic studio! Super clean space and always great music and vibes. I built my pilates foundation here and transformed from a shy novice to a confident intermediate pilates lover, which is a testament to the great instruction here. read more

Loved working out at Pilatesmith. The instructors are all amazing, and very encouraging if you are a first timer. Studio is well-lit and clean, and front desk staff is efficient and responsive. Overall 5/5 and would highly recommend. Looking forward to working out here on a weekly basis! read more

I took my first reformer class with Anna and had such an amazing experience! The studio is super clean and the class sizes are small, which made it feel really comfortable and personal. Anna was incredibly encouraging, patient, and attentive throughout the entire class. She took the time to make sure everyone felt supported and offered modifications so I could adjust the exercises while building my strength over time. I loved the class so much that I ended up getting a membership--even though I live 30 minutes away! That's how good it was. Highly recommend this studio and definitely recommend taking a class with Anna! read more

Loved my class at Pilatesmith! The instructor and studio staff were super friendly and welcoming. I really liked that the class focused a lot on form while still giving you a great workout. The studio it's self it's super cute as well! Will definitely be back! read more

Great Pilates studio with knowledgeable instructors and lovely staff all around- would totally go back! read more

I have never written a bad review in my entire life - by far the worst Pilates place I've ever been to. I really wanted to take a mat class so idk how their reformer classes are but on a Tuesday, the instructor teaching reformer was incredibly rude and entitled it left a bad taste in my mouth before I even made it my class I almost left. Idk if she thought I was being weird or creepy which is insane, but I was confused about how to get in since there are no directions on classpass about going through an alleyway - I had to figure it out without her help. Luckily my instructor was amazing that day and teaching a new format that day which as a sculpt instructor and 200 hr yoga certified teacher I know is hard! read more

Love this studio! It's so cute and spacious. Everyone is very friendly and the reformer class I took was amazing.

My favourite pilates studio in the area - nice variety of classes, clean studio, and free parking!! Even if the lot is full, there's plenty of street parking nearby. read more

Took their intro class to get a sense of the studio and it was great! I'm athletic, but new to reformer pilates and it was a great way to get comfortable with the machine while still getting a good workout in. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I'm excited to dive deeper into the studio, grow my knowledge of pilates exercise, and take the variety of classes they offer. It's one of the few pilates studios that offers several different kinds of workouts from reformer, to mat, to TRX and beyond. read more

From the time I walked in it was such welcoming vibes with the energy to support in all capacities. I forgot my grip socks but there were a variety of options available for purchase although Amazon has them for a better price but for convenience it's great. Parking was easy and free which is a huge plus in LA. I attended the hot Pilates class and the instructor was really amazing. I had a really great workout with her and would definitely sign up for another. I was under the impression we would be on the reformer but it was a hot mat class. I loved that they had a variety of class times and options. It was an aesthetically pleasing interior with mini locker spaces and gender neutral restrooms. As well as clean. After the workout, the instructor gave us wipes to sanitize everything we touched and used. If the parking lot had a charge station I would try to give a bonus star. The front desk attendant was spectacular! She was so warm and welcoming as well as very informative about Pilates in general. read more

Such a beautiful space and a nice, tough but doable workout. I happened to go on a day with a live dj which was fun! Ha

First class for 25$. I tried the beginner class . It was enough challenging but not too hard . Will sign up for 5 pack class.

I went to my first pilates class of the year at Pilatesmith and was very impressed by the facility, it's warm staff and variety of classes. The space has a nice layout with multiple classes happening at once. It has a nice bathroom, locker and shower! I'll definitely be visiting again! read more

The studio is cute and clean and the teacher was super helpful. It was beginner friendly for me. I also bought really cute socks. Sure, I could have brought my own grippy socks. But their branded lightning bolt socks are adorable. read more

Disclaimer: This is not about the instructors--Lexi, Jess, and Gregory are excellent--but about the lack of transparency and flexibility in class policies. I purchased an unlimited pass while pregnant assuming I could access all classes to fit my work schedule. Mid-cycle, I was unexpectedly told I needed a doctor's note and could no longer attend many classes. Other studios allow full access with trainer modifications, so this was a surprise. Since I couldn't use the unlimited plan as intended, I requested to downgrade one tier, or alternatively join beginner mat classes with modifications, or receive a make-up session. Instead, I was met with rigid enforcement of a 30-day notice policy I was never informed of. I'm left extremely disappointed by the lack of flexibility, care, or effort to resolve the situation. read more

Such a lovely space! The prenatal class was fantastic. I felt very safe and supported

Pilates class was both challenging and rewarding and I really enjoyed the Novice Pilates (Beg. Reformer) Workout. Parking was easy. I had a quick tour of the studio. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to trying more classes and getting stronger with each class. read more

I had been searching for a Mat Pilates class for a while near me, and then I finally came across Pilatesmith in Culver City. I went to one of their Heated Mat classes (taught by Greg, who was a great instructor) and I really enjoyed this class! It was challenging and fun. I was sore the next day and that's what it's all about for me! The studio is nicely appointed and has 3 different areas for classes. The heated class was warm (not hot). They had a lot of nice equipment for the Mat class. Parking on the street was really easy for me. I noticed once I got to the studio there's also a small parking lot in the back. But street parking was ample. I can definitely see myself coming back and trying other classes. read more

Great workout and instructor was very knowledgeable. I will definitely come back. Studio location is great and lots of street parking read more

Lexi is absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable in all things Pilates. Ive taken a private with her and a few classes at multiple studios but this by far was my favorite! I took TRX mat Pilates and she crushed it. Her energy is so contagious. I can't wait to return read more

Great athletic pilates class! Fun vibe - music was bumping and the temperature was 80 degrees. Definitely feel it the next day and will be back. read more

An incredible Pilates studio in my new neighborhood! There is a great energy here among the staff and students and I was challenged in my beginner class. I loved the music and variety in the class. I will definitely be coming back again! read more

Really loved the studio! It had a good vibe/atmosphere and everyone who worked there was very friendly. I had never used the chair before so that was fun and new. The instructor was very descriptive in her verbal cues, so much so that I did not need to look at her demonstrations. I liked the music too! My one critique is I thought there were too many transitions which slowed down the overall flow of the class. I would go back! read more

Did the HIIT pilates and it was a great workout. Great instruction by the teacher, very friendly staff and beautiful facilities. Will be back! read more

I was absolutely blown away by this studio and the workout. To preface, I love trying new workouts and have done a fair share of reformer pilates. Since I had been wanting to try a heated mat pilates class, I did my research and came to Pilatesmith--and safe to say, I left with no regrets! It was such a beautiful studio with easy parking. The instructor was attentive , encouraging and knowledgeable--helping with corrections to prevent injury and maximize efficacy. I walked out feeling so refreshed, especially knowing that I got a good workout in! I cannot wait to come back to try the other classes! read more

I took the mat pilates sculpt class, and loved it! The instructor really knew what she was doing, and the class was small which made it very comfortable. It was a very challenging class but I feel great afterwards. read more

I took the prenatal class, and it was wonderful! The instructor (Sophie) was very knowledgeable and aware of what is safe in pregnancy. It was challenging and a really good work out! I will definitely be back! read more

This was my first prenatal workout class -- and wow...I realize I have been missing out! The prenatal class was completely full, which was a great sign. I have just been going to my normal workout classes and doing them to the best of my ability (which isn't great at 9 months pregnant)...it was SUCH a relief to do a class that catered to my huge body & I already booked a 5 pack. Also there is PARKING which is a game changer. I can't wait for my next class. read more

Great space, wonderful class and instructor (Greg). Finally a class that isn't too hot but my body feels warmed up and ready to move!

After having a baby a few months ago, I was looking to get back into Pilates-this was exactly the gym I was looking for. Jess class was perfect-I highly recommend checking out this studio read more

I saw this studio was on Classpass and really nearby my home, so I had to check it out. I'm a huge fan of lagree and oftentimes feel that regular pilates classes are not challenging enough, so I signed up for Tempo Pilates class with Genevieve...that WRECKED me! I was definitely feeling the burn and I loved that we were using heavier springs. Genevieve was also a great instructor -- very attentive, great energy, gave great corrections, and made sure everyone was challenged. I also loved her playlist! We need more hype bad b**** playlists like hers because I truly feel like a pilates princess lol! read more

As a beginner (only been on a reformer a few times), the Novice Class with Anna was great! Her energy was incredible, music was awesome, and I liked the personal attention she was able to give in the smaller class setting. I would 100% take this class again and recommend this studio for both reformer and mat pilates. Studio was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and street parking on a Sunday morning was a breeze. read more

The studio is beautiful! the staff is very friendly & my instructors energy felt so warm! The best way to spend 6am on a Friday morning! 10/10 would go again :) read more

I've done Lagree before, and this was my first time doing Pilates Reformer! I appreciated how the class was intimate (6 reformer machines), clean, and aesthetic! Didn't know what to expect at first, but the instructor was kind and easy to follow, and helpful :) Excited to come back and take more classes! read more

Went yesterday for the first time and had a great experience in the beginner class! The instructor was super helpful and engaging, and the space felt clean and organized. Looking forward to going back again soon! read more

I first heard about Pilatesmith from my friends who frequent the Santa Monica location. After seeing the new Culver studio pop up on ClassPass, I decided to give it a try! I took the Heated Mat Pilates class with Carla last night. The class was advertised as Int/Adv level and I thought the difficulty was perfect. I was a bit nervous about the heated aspect, but it ended up being a really comfortable temperature! The energy was a bit lower than I expected compared to my usual Lagree classes, but it was a great workout nonetheless. The studio itself was beautiful as well, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I look forward to coming back and trying some of the reformer classes in the future! read more
