Service is always above all my expectations, excellent, friendly, accurate, and attentive. Food has always been super great. Pies great! However today I was disappointed at the fact they would not cook my onions for the first time for an item that is my favorite to order here with only two other tables in the restaurant. Did appreciate they still did substitute I like to do for an ingredient. I just hate raw onions. It was also unusually warm inside and a mention to the people in the back in the kitchen was met with that there wasn't an issue. As we sat here it seemed like the ac was turned kicked on. What a wonderful little breakfast/lunch spot! It's been re done recently (or recently opened) with pretty red walls and antique light fixtures. The menu was fairly priced with a selection of sandwhiches and salads to suit any taste. I had the Cobb salad and it was delicious! There was only one waitress working but she was really attentive to all her customers and very friendly, especially considering how busy she was. Don't forget to get a slice of pie! We came across The Pie Shack on our way to EAA 2022. What a delightful little restaurant! Our waitress was overflowing with joy and excitement as it was clear she loves her job! We ordered the daily special which was lasagna, bread and salad and the Oriental salad. The portions were huge but more importantly the food was delicious. You could tell the lasagna was homemade. Loaded with meat and just the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. My salad was served with warmed tender chicken, crispy napa cabbage, greens and crunchy oriental noodles and toasted almonds. Perfect! To end our meal we ordered pie, of course. Coconut praline with homemade whipped cream and toasted coconut and strawberry rhubarb ala mode. The crust was flaky and perfect. The fillings of each were scrumptious and (again) the portions were huge. We can't recommend this little treasure enough! If you're in the area definitely make this a stop.
