I enjoyed the environment and crowd on gamedays, it was fairly packed and they have a pool table game room off to the side, but the bartender force closed my tab in the middle of a game for no reason. Service while there was good but watch your charges. I came for an event. Sat at the bar and started a tab. I ordered one cocktail and one coke and when I got my bill was surprised at how inexpensive it was. I tried to check the bill but they didn't provide an itemized bill, only the final charge. I chalked it up to suburban pricing so I tipped well. Much to my surprise they charged my card more than what I had put on the receipt (like $10 more). Unfortunately this place has seen better days. These folks are going through it; the building is aging and the place is understaffed and half empty. I hate to see this because I have had many good times here. When You have someone apologizing at the door it's heart breaking. It's reflected in the attitude of the staff as well. We went as a party of 8 (including kids) on a Sunday night. The experience was not good. The place smelled of smoke and was empty except for one or two other person at the bar. The server/bartender didn't seem like he wanted to be there and seemed genuinely shocked that there were people coming in to eat. He didn't know how to make a basic drink or what the seasonal Sam Adams was. He was not interested in taking our non-alcoholic drink orders after he took the alcohol order. Everything seemed to be an inconvenience for him. Asking for extra napkins or refills was an issue. A syrup in the pop machine needed to be changed (the pop tasted basically like sparkling water) and when we let him know and asked for a different drink, he kept arguing and asking "why?". The food was not great and overpriced for what it was. Typical bar food. As 4 adults whom have all worked in the service industry at some point, this experience was very disappointing. We have seen this place seem to be busy during the summer with volleyball and such, but don't be fooled because the service and food is not worth it. read more

The Piazza is a cool concert venue that offers food and drink. I didn't order any food but the bar was pretty normal and the bartenders seemed as nice as they could be. The only con to this place is the giant beam in the middle of the stage that obstructs views but besides that it's a good place for Bands to perform in people to entertain. read more

I attended the George Clinton concert July 2022 and I was pretty appalled by the facility. (Performance, however, was AWESOME, no complaints). After that initial entry I do not believe I ever saw an employee of the Piazza again other than the people selling beer and food who I believe we're actually contractors from Salerno's. There was no one keeping aisles clear (what aisles?) And no security between General admission and VIP. I guess that part was to my advantage! I am going to guess that there were 2 to 3000 people attending. It was extremely crowded. The very worst part of the event was that with all of those people present there were only six Porta potty's. One was handicap. I would say the line to use the bathroom was about 80 deep. There was just one line for all toilets, not sure what happened if a disabled person came up. In the crowd's defense, everyone was extremely nice and orderly. People really seemed to come together over the poor amenities. In fact, although we were told we were not allowed to go inside people figured out how to get in the back door and use the bathrooms inside. Eventually, the Piazza seem to give up on trying to prevent that. I could definitely see some serious incidents occurring here. read more

Okay, it is Super Bowl Sunday at 4:00 p.m. We find the best table for us in the place and get ready to watch the game. Gabrielle was our waitress. We ordered nachos and a pizza. Nachos came almost immediately. The pizza came 55 minutes later and the order was wrong. We then found out that one of the waitresses quit! Alona seemed to take over and saved the day for this restaurant/bar. She was the only one that was available and knew what she was doing. The table next to us got the wrong order and asked for their check. They got someone else's check and credit card. When they finally got that settled, there were several mistakes on their check and they noticed that they were charged $7.00 for a side of ranch dressing. The nachos that we ordered were pretty good until we noticed that all the chicken was on the bottom; underneath the nachos, cheese, tomatoes, etc. The Salerno's pizza are excellent. The huge tv's are the best in town. A bucket of beer for $15 on Super Bowl Sunday isn't bad. After all, ranch dressing is $7.00! The service and wait staff are absolutely horrible! What an amazing experience! And the drive there was so wort it. The PIAZZA in Aurora is an industrial-style sports bar out of this world. We drove from Chicago to Aurora for a Daft Punk cover band show and I was so excited to come to this place. Upon our arrival we showed our ID's at the door and we were in, we walked to an experience of itself. The vibe this place was giving it felt like we were in Europe, the entire building made out of bricks with a bar and a stage right in the middle of the dance floor, lots of table games like pool, darts and live music. We sat down right away and they brought us the menu really fast, we order some drinks and food, everything came really fast. I order the Mango Habanero flavor Wings, once the food arrived i was shocked in contentment for what i got on my plate. I got 12 of the most crispy, crunchy and obsoletely enormous wings i have ever seen in my life with a side of ranch. The Wings were so juicy, they were delicious with the sweet of the mango linger in my tongue with every bite i took but they had a flawed, they were not Hot enough for my taste. i was hoping for that kick of the habanero but it wasn't there. Taking everything into account the experience was surprisingly good. I would recommend this place if you want to come and have a meal and enjoy some live music. read more

Went to the New Year's Eve party at the Piazza in Aurora and paid for the VIP experience. I was very disappointed! They oversold for the VIP room because it was so crowded and not enough tables. It took so long to get through the line for the VIP food that we just went downstairs and got the free pizza. They also had an open bar with crappy alcohol! Very low class. I would rather they charge more money and have less people up there, but next year we're going to try a different venue and go somewhere else. The fire alarm was going off and nobody was doing anything! Also, 10k money drop...don't think so! All dollar bills, not even close! This review is based on my recent visit for the Lost 80s Live concert. The concert started late (more than 30 min) and between each band, there was at least a 15 min break - this led to a later night than expected (as was early seen as the crowds started to thin past the halfway point). I understand the breaks are meant to drive bar revenue; however, there was limited bar staff. Unfortunately for an indoor concert, the acoustics weren't all that great. Folks around me noted the same and partially attributed this to the quality of the sound system. They noted that the sound was much better when there was an outdoor concert this past summer. There are some definite positives to this venue- location, lots of parking, pizza available throughout the show. All in all, the venue was a good host to 6! bands/performers and it looks this might be worth a visit for an outdoor concert! read more

I am only writing this review because I think it is important to give others critical information when attending a live show at this venue - information that we did not see anywhere on The Piazza website or Facebook Pages and were not told about prior. We saw Chris Cagle on October 14. Let's start with the positive: The show was great. The venue was neat and clean. We had no problems checking in and we were even escorted to our VIP table for 6. Here come the negatives: There are NO servers, even if you have a reserved table. Also, they do not serve food off of their regular menu on "Event Nights" so do not plan on having dinner here. They do have a little stand area where you have limited snack options (a slice of pizza, Italian sausage, Italian beef.) Additionally, they do not have a full bar on event nights. Yes, you read that correctly. You can get beer or one of 5 selected alcohols. The 5 alcohols were not your typical whiskey, gin, vodka, tequila, and all cost $12. If you ask for a "Jack and Coke" be advised that it is not in fact, Jack that you are getting. NO WINE IS AVAILABLE either on "event nights," which quite frankly, really ticked me off. What bar/venue doesn't serve wine in this day and age? My big issue with all of this is that there was no warning. If The Piazza wants to run event nights different than regular nights, it should be stated clearly on the website. The cost of our table and drinks for 6 was well over $800, we did not have a regular meal, and served ourselves. While The Piazza is a very cool venue during their "regular hours," we will not be returning for any "Event Nights" in the future. Very disappointing! read more

Food sucks , wish I could like it but, it's a hard no. We had the gross mild wings and the chicken bacon wrap. You should go somewhere else for dinner prior. We had the apple crown royal shots, can't get those wrong. This place is really just a place to see an artist you wanna see. But, after this experience. I'm pretty confident I won't be back. We tried to go out to the car to get our cigarettes and they wouldn't let us back in unless we waited in a line again, after we had already waited for an hour initially to see Louis the singer. Immense place in Palace in Aurora near the mall. However every time I've gone here during the week there's nobody in here at night. Perhaps they only come out on Friday and Saturday nights. Plenty of televisions to watch and plenty of space to see Monday and Thursday night football. They hardly have anyone working here when I'm stop by during the week because there's very few people even in this establishment. read more

The pizza was good. I think this place has huge potential if it were managed better. If you're not at the bar, you'll never get served here since it's painfully understaffed. The comedy night was really vulgar and disappointing as there's nothing funny about making fun of people in the front row with comments like "It looks like your wife could eat another plate of food" or "I bet your kids are ugly". "F your kids". Some people laugh at that kind of humor... until it's them being made fun of. Service is complete garbage. I am not sure why it takes 30 minutes to wait for someone to greet us at the table for us to order drinks. Then, it takes another 45 minutes to get food ordered and another hour and a half to actually receive our food even if it's not busy. Waiters will forget our drink order, food order and blames us if they make a mistake on our order. We would even have to try and catch other waiters to ask for an update with our order and we are pretty patient when it comes with restaurants. We have tried coming for different events hoping to get better service at some point but it seems everyone hates their job here no matter the event that is happing at the piazza. This place seems very disorganized and workers seem to do bare minimum work. I really wish this place was better, we would come very often if it was. This place has potential but I feel that the energy to provide decent service is not there at all. read more

Went for the New Years Eve party. My friend bought tickets and I paid him. Management or a man with a dress shirt and beard was incredibly rude. My buddy bought the tickets, and sent me one he used already, so that part is on me. However, when the manager was called over he goes "how about you have him send a fucking ticket that works" and walks away. I am pretty tolerant of most things because I've been in the service industry and have worked in schools. That being said, swearing multiple times at various customers isn't the way to manage a business that is supposed to have good service. If you make your living being rude to customers as a theme, that's a different story lol. Multiple people had similar experiences and one woman called him out for being an "asshole". Anyone who works in the service industry knows most customers will say that. However, this gentleman was about as rude as can be to anyone and everyone, including his staff. He later proceeded to aggressively grab a broom and deeper from staff and point toward what he wanted to do after scooping up one thing. Then he walked off. I helped the young man clean up a bit. I do not know who the manager was or if he was having a bad day but his attitude that night , lost The Piazza customers. I met up with 2 different groups of people that night and not a single person from either of them will be back. Mainly due to this man and overselling the VIP tickets. They felt duped as did I They sold more VIP tickets than General Admission. This meant that the buffet line was ridiculous and they didn't have enough food. I will be back as I know the band my friend plays in will be as well. I live by the three strike rule. Hopefully, next time they redeem themselves. read more

You call the place to find out information about a show, and they have a recording of a bot talking. Then he asks you what you want. No way to get thru to somebody who will answer the phone. EVen if you throw the bot a bone and ask a question, he doesn't understand what you are asking and gives you a dumb answer and just refers you to the website. Most venues in the area somehow you can get thru and talk to a person. I have ZERO interest and going to a place that doesn't treat people like human beings and thinks they are cutting edge. Went for an event. Ordered food before the event began. People at our table ordered food an hour after us got their food. Asked multiple times and they had no idea what happened to my order. Shortly before the event ended, they told me they were remaking my food and left (I would have told them to skip it). Event ended 3hrs later and only then did I get my food. I want to this place to meet a friend to watch some out of market football games. This is the old Foundry. Really big place,yet not put together very well. We got here about 10 minutes before kick off on Sunday,and werw told THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE NFL TICKET! A waitress explained to us that somebody was on the phone with the cable company trying to order it. This is Sunday during a pandemic and football season. Any place that has as many TVs as they do should have this no excuses. The food and drink menu are very limited ( Only 3 or 4 draft beers available). We finished our 1st drink and close. When you arrive to pickup the pizza ONLY A MANAGER CAN PROCESS THE COUPON. While waiting for the bar staff to locate a manager YOUR PIZZA IS GETTING COLD BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL CREDIT CARD ORDER HAS TO BE VOIDED THEN RE-ENTETED TO APPLY THE COUPON.
