I would not recommend Jody or this service to anyone. For context, I was overseas visiting my family over the holidays and just picked up my Maine Coon. My cat's fur absolutely reeked of smoke. He's a long haired cat and upon return, was also severely matted. Two months prior, I had met Jody for an initial, in-person meet and greet to manage communication and care expectations for cat boarding. Detailed care and communication parameters were established in the onset, baked into the contract, signed by all parties so everyone was on the same page. There were no "mismatch" of communication or care expectations. Fast forward to today, not once was it disclosed that someone in her household smoked. I also gave Jody very specific care instructions, that my long haired cat had to be brushed everyday. Ultimately my cat came back in a state of severe discomfort from the pulling of the matting on his skin. Jody also did not provide clean, filtered water on a daily basis. I had to follow up with her multiple times, before she finally disclosed her filter wasn't working for days. To anyone reading this, how are these actions not negligent by the caregiver? Would you consider this a safe and risk-free environment when your cat comes home reeking of smoke? Isn't this / borderline animal abuse? It was also baked into our contract that Jody was suppose to provide daily updates, considering I was going to be overseas for 19 days. When I would ask her about how my cat is doing, she would basically tell me to "shut up" and stop sending her texts. Isn't she getting paid / part of her responsibility as a cat sitter to provide daily updates? I've also addressed these issues directly with John W. at the agency. John chalked it up with the "we are sorry" and doesn't do anything about it. I pressed him further on my concerns for my cat's wellbeing, so John finally offered to find a new caregiver. I made the ultimate decision to not move my cat to a new caregiver due to 1. how stressful it is for cats to acclimatize to another new environment and 2. the agency's track record doesn't give me any confidence to go through the whole vetting process again on providing a new, actually responsible caregiver. What if they're another Jody? and 3. I will take matters into my own hands and come back early to rescue my cat from negligence. All of my friends / family were also out of town over the holidays, so I couldn't ask them to look after my cat. All I wanted was to make sure my cat was in a safe and stable environment. This was not a "personal choice." In fact, I would be an irresponsible pet parent if I did nothing/ did not fly back early to rescue my cat from a negligent caregiver. End of the day, if Jody was actually a responsible caregiver, there would be no reason for me to return early. Kitty in NY failed to mention below that in the onset, they did not offer any reimbursements. I had to draw the boundary, walk them through the math / rationale before they finally agreed to submit the correct remittance. Reimbursement was certainly not a voluntary option offered by them as they made it seem. There were no detailed background checks done on Jody either, as the agency stated they would on their caregivers. For instance, Jody is currently not a social worker as outlined in the agency's profile of her. She's a full time dog walker. This was a red flag for me in the beginning so I asked John for referrals on Jody. He could only summon one referral, who gave one positive review on Jody. Where are the other proofs / reviews of Jody's "years of excellent service" and "positive client feedback" as the agency claims? If she is so good at her job, what does the agency have to hide? For anyone who engages Kitty in NY in the future, please beware that if you take the gamble and land yourself with someone negligent, I've given you a preview of what will happen and the agency's lack of accountability and transparency. Whoever lands Jody for future dog walking or cat sitting service, you have been warned to stay away. Who knows how she treats your pets behind closed doors....

Called this place after doing an extensive search for a decently rated pet ER (not many around me). I am so thankful there is at least one, and they're open 'round the clock. Was placed in an examination room and was seen fairly quickly by a tech for vitals, followed by the vet (I swear I tried so hard to remember her name to give her a personal shout out but stress took away my memory). She was awesome. Thorough and caring. While nothing appeared to be an evident emergency, my cat was clearly suffering from something hurting him. Recommended course of action seemed slightly excessive, but this vet truly stepped up to help me out. I consented to an xray, which indicated constipation. Treatment included sub-q hydration, anti-nausea medication, and a laxative. Cat had never been poked and prodded so much in his life. But he was such a good boy, and thankfully never bit or scratched- just growled and hissed. I would have too, little buddy!! I truly, sincerely appreciate knowing my boy doesn't have any bowel obstruction or anything worse. Great relief that we'll manage with the laxative and hopefully he'll be good as new. Thank you to the Vet Tech and the assistant who were both so helpful and supportive (and whose names I also forgot). Great team. I really, really love that every staff member called my boy "friend" and treated him like their own.

But there were no surprises and we were guided through the various test options along the way to help control the cost. All of the ladies working there and the doctor were so professional and clearly dedicated to their jobs. They were very gentle with our sick cat and patient with us worried parents. And after we'd gone home they kept calling to check in on our cat to see if we had any other questions or concerns. They were so wonderful. Again the costs kicked our butt but in an emergency they were amazing.

Andrea and Kaelynn show up for us rain or shine with the best attitudes, making it such a joy to see them each session. Our dog adores them and we have seen such growth through the training sessions. They have helped our goldendoodle puppy with separation anxiety, the proper way to walk, listening skills, how to calm her hyperactivity, and so much more. We are so grateful for this team who take the time to teach us the skills so that we can continue the training on our own, and they post lengthy messages and pictures in the app that MDH uses so that we can always follow along on the journey and progress. We have seen a huge transformation in our puppy and would not have been able to do any of this without the help of MDH. The level of professionalism and true knowledge of dogs/dog training is so apparent, and Andrea and team establish trust with both owner and dog from the very first session. We are saddened to end our sessions with Andrea (as our pup has learned all she can from her) and will miss seeing her every week! If you have ANY training needs I could not recommend My Dog Hikes more. Call this team, you will not regret it and your dog will live their best life!! Thank you Andrea and team - you saved us!

The exceptional level of professionalism, training, oversight and communication at Dog City gives me the confidence that my dog's best interest are always considered first. We tried out four doggie day care facilities in NYC. They were all sub-par to Dog City; constant loud barking, cold and unwelcoming facility, irresponsible handlers, and poor communication. The happy and energetic trainers and the professionalism at Dog City won us over immediately as we stepped into their beautiful, spotlessly clean, and serene facility. The handlers and the reception team are loving, compassionate, and dedicated. I can't imagine my dog without his dog city family.

I went to their original location when it was in the Turnstyle market for Charlie's Backyard…read moreharness. It was the only place I could find that sold them at a brick and mortar in NY. I measured my dogs and got the L and XL, but when I got back, the L fits but it was a bit loose and XL didn't fit neither my dogs at all, so never got the chance to exchange it. The L was problematic because my dog has gotten out of it very easily when chaos ensues and the quality of this harness isn't sturdy. I love the style of it and it's softness, but it doesn't last at all. The stitching came out very quickly. I have ordered other adjustable step in harnesses, but unfortunately the buckles slips and doesn't keep the same sizing. Decided to go back and get another L to replace the L at home and M for the smaller dog. Checked out and tried it on the dogs, both sizes didn't fit, couldn't even close it at all. I mentioned it to them via text and they said nothing has changed and it is because your dog sizes has changed. If that was true, then I would need to replace all their winter coats, other clothing, and their other harnesses. They still fit in every single thing the same and measures the same. They also mentioned this product does stretch after awhile, but meanwhile they never mentioned this from the get when I got it previously, but now since there is a sizing issue, they are more forthcoming to sizing issues with this company. A went back to do the return, but A is a no hassle and no patience person, and basically went in there and didn't even mention anything to them, but just returned it and was offered a store credit. Because they didn't even have any XL in stock, so what a waste of trip to go there. I texted them and their reply is the person who made the return noted that the "store credit was fine as you're frequent customers and would be back to shop with us again." Let's see, I call b.s. and this shop is going to completely LIE to my face? One, A doesn't speak like that and two, I do all the doggy shopping and 3, A knows damn well that I am not a frequent shopper there. I am only there for the Charlie's Backyard harness, though lack of quality, unfortunately, it's the only one that can fit my dogs. If the M and L doesn't fit anymore because they both were ridiculously small, such a major difference, I highly doubt the XL would fit either of them. What am I going to do with a store credit? Also, how long is this store going to last when they have major competition between ecomm and other brick and mortar stores that offers better deals and pricing? Not to mention 100x better customer service and easy returns? I don't like the fact this person texting me back is going to make up stories now. It's like seriously, if I was a frequent shopper here, I wouldn't have went to Turnstyle looking for this place, since I never even knew it moved. Even Yelp still has the word Turnstyle and the map is pinned at Columbus Circle. Definitely needs work on better customer service! Don't even frequent this hood anymore, so for me to use the store credit, I would have to go out of my way just to come here. Not very convenient or easy at all.

The veterinarian found the cause of wound to be inconclusive but did confirm it seemed to be (recently) environmental and not self-inflicted (as our dog could not personally reach that area on her body). They did not rule out another dog attacking ours but said that was most likely not the cause. The fact is that we dropped our healthy, clean dog off in good condition and she left with a serious, visible wound as the pictures show - this was not there prior to the drop off and it's quite frankly insane and offensive that was up for debate by Paws of Chelsea. I'm giving two stars as the staff was professional and communicative in handling this issue, on the way to the veterinarian. However, there was zero accountability on their part and we were met with excuses and blame. Paws of Chelsea did give us one free night of boarding which was appreciated but was not nearly as much as we had to spend on an extremely expensive vet bill and the discomfort our dog suffered. Based on reading other reviews and how the owner chooses to respond, I do not suggest this place for boarding. If someone is choosing to board, I HIGHLY suggest doing a full examination with pictures, before dropping off your dog and signing their waiver.
