It's good but I could never get an appointment. A great experience when you can get your pooch in…read morefor a wash and groom but last time I tried to set up an appointment it was like a 2 month wait, which kind of defeats the purpose. So that's why 1 star is removed, we haven't tried for a long time to get in here so maybe things have changed but we ended up having to go to Earthwise Pet Supply in East Madison until we moved to Janesville and are now looking for new groomers down there since traveling to Madison for dog grooming appointments is a lot of travel time.

Since my review was removed, here is my original review that took place at this facility…read more I am writing to formally register a profound and unequivocal complaint regarding the grooming services provided by Madelyn, which resulted in significant distress and injury to my dog. Prior to the grooming session, I explicitly communicated that my dog suffers from severe anxiety, possesses highly sensitive nails, and reacts poorly to blow dryers. These crucial details were conveyed to ensure a calm and safe experience for him. Madelyn'a immediate response was one of overt rudeness and unprofessionalism, marked by dismissive eye-rolling and a sarcastic retort, "Oh, like I haven't heard that before." This utterly disregarded my legitimate concerns and set an alarming precedent for the subsequent care. Upon collection, my dog was visibly trembling and in an unprecedented state of distress, far beyond his usual initial apprehension. It is important to note that at seven years old, he has undergone numerous grooming sessions throughout his life without ever exhibiting such extreme post-grooming trauma. The full extent of the horror became apparent shortly after. Once I secured him in his car seat and returned home, I discovered a horrifying scene: his entire car seat was saturated with blood. Closer inspection revealed that every single one of his nails had been severely butchered and was bleeding profusely. This was not a minor 'quick' on one nail; it was a comprehensive and shocking mutilation.I immediately contacted the establishment to address this grave matter with Madelyn Sanderson and her response was one of complete denial and appalling indifference. She disavowed any responsibility, callously suggesting the injuries were likely due to my dog moving around too much, stating "it happens," and incredibly, instructing me to "get over it." This complete lack of accountability and empathy is inexcusable. As a direct consequence of her gross negligence, two of my dog's nails subsequently developed severe infections, necessitating veterinary intervention and causing him immense pain and discomfort. It is unequivocally clear that Madelyn possesses neither the necessary temperament nor the professional competence to work with animals, particularly those with specific sensitivities or anxiety. Her inability to interact with stressed animals, coupled with her dismissive attitude and demonstrable negligence, renders her entirely unsuitable for such a role. Given the severity of this incident I have formally reported this matter to the Board of Health, my local Attorney General, office, and the Better Business Bureau. I firmly believe that if such egregious treatment has occurred with my dog, it is highly probable that other animals under her care are also at risk. This level of neglect and unprofessionalism is utterly unacceptable and must be addressed with the utmost seriousness.

My puppy absolutely loves Paradise Paws! She goes weekly for daycare and also boards there when we…read moreare out of town. Prices are very reasonable, and I love that the boarding is kennel free. My pup is so tired out when she comes home. She gets SO excited when she knows we are going to daycare -- she honestly can't get out of the car fast enough to get inside. The staff are wonderful and know every dog by name and love them like their own. Highly recommended!

There is almost too much to say ((EDIT: I had to cut out a larger portion on my review,it was too…read morelong)) Wife and I would constantly be told that our dog does not play well with other dogs. Also that she was there too much so she made herself too comfortable and would try to establish dominance to other dogs ((again she only attended 2 days a week, occasionally 3 days a week.)). when our dog comes from our family with 5 dogs and plays well at the dog park with the few times we've taken her, with all shapes and sizes of dogs. They suggested working with our dog and their "Dog behaviorist, Diana " so we agreed because we weren't sure why our dog was acting the way they claimed. We weren't even told she had gotten scratched in the eye by another dog one day, which that happens I understand, however to getting kennel cough ((she was home all week away from other dogs prior to this happening ,besides coming to PP.)) Then was told "A dog double her size fell on your dog, so can you pick her up?" I don't even understand how that even happens, do dogs fly??? My wife wanted to look elsewhere, and wanted a refund for the package that we paid for and we still had about 100 dollars left on our package so since our dog isn't able to attend then we would like our money back, and my wife was told by the owner "we don't do refunds on packages" which my wife did not know but is ILLEGAL to keep your money if they took money for a service that wasn't provided, similar to how paying anyone who is doing a job and doesn't complete it which never happens unless funky business is taking place...called they answered said nothing ((I could hear them in the background, said hello , then they hung up, tried calling back 2 times after than and got ignored/forwarded to their answering machine both times, I did not get a call back at all so I went in after work ((when I would normally pick up my dog and asked where the miscommunication lied and what was the actual situation because I had no clue, the owner who sits at the desk((where the phone is)) has the phone ringing and was on her personal phone, turns to me and says oh hello, sorry we have poor connection with the phones ,because I had said I called and said what I was there for and the owner had said "I didn't know about that, ((of which she meant the "behaviorist" told us our dog could not come for two weeks?!" And I said why wasn't I told yesterday during pick up? Then she had said "it was was pick up time so we thought we would be busy , owner had asked the behaviorist if she wanted to talk to you and she said ,no I will call him later, but then family stuff happened and she forgot to call you."(( ....that is the dumbest thing to tell someone , that if you have a concern as heavy as "your dog can't come back for two weeks", we will call you day of to tell you that, because we forgot to tell you after hours, even though you were working with my dogs "behavior" when you could have told me about it in less than 8 minutes during pick up , when I was the only one there to pick up my dog????)) (I didn't say that I was just thinking it.) so I said I understood and wanted a refund because we don't have the time during the day to constantly be called to be told to pick up our dog out of the days my wife and I both work those days, and we need care for our dog now not in two weeks, and she says in a confident voice" we don't give out refunds for packages, I don't even know how to give a refund on this ((her card reader)) AGAIN I don't know who wants to take their dog to a place that the OWNER of the place , does NOT know how to issue a refund on a card reader.... RED FLAG so I told her that we do need one because our dog will not be returning, and she said , "well it takes a week to get my checks" ,and it took three weeks?! ((which before writing this I did not know that my wife had also said she would like to pick up the check that week, after being told by the owner that she will have to write a check because she doesn't know how to give a refund through her reader, and she said that it was a miscommunication between her , and the behaviorist and did take owner ship of the fault of theirs as to why we were not told the day of that our dog could not come the following day for two weeks, and I accepted their apology and waited for the check to get to PP and we got it and left. Not to mention the staff inside the building all the employees are on their phones, chatting with each other and not watching any of the dogs for the entire duration when I was there watching them through the window in the office, AND NONE OF THEM WEAK MASKS DURING THE MASK MANDATE! Please reconsider your doggie daycare options and wait for a better place because this isn't the place if you want your dog to be happy/cared for, it's sad, the place "looks" great but communication from staff/owner this place should be called Prison Paws
