Upon pickup the staff wasn't friendly and never had been at pickup or drop off. I ask several times how things went and typical response is oh you didn't get a call so everything was well. The receptionist are young, inexperienced and typically don't have any answers to questions about your pet. We have never been offered a tour and offered a bath after a weekend. When my boy blu came out today at pickup he was timid, scared, full of dried pee, face down, not excited and depressed. Upon arriving at home he has been acting strangely and not the upbeat dog that we are accustomed too. I honestly believe that your pup sits in a kennel more often then not. I'm more upset because he was covered in dried urine so I assumed he's kennel wasn't cleaned. He looked terrible and don't understand why. As a facility that is ran by vets it sure needs improvement. They have been under construction and the lobby looks cold, dark and quiet. I've asked several times how many dogs are here today and usually about 10. I believe you need to visit them and see what you can improve. You're not giving or being with the pets like they are. I have a feeling they go out for a small period of time and kenneled the rest. I feel like pets are treated not the way they should be. Blu's nose was all red and nails all beat up so that indicates he's in his kennel way too long. Your competitors have warm and friendly almost home rooms to sleep. If you had this your dog wouldn't be covered in dry pee. Couple things to help improve: 1.Act like the front staff knows and cares about your pet 2. Offer a bath after boarding for more then a couple days 3. Offer a tour to new clients especially the first day of drop off. It takes a few minutes 4. Train tour front desk to be friendly because it seems like things are always an inconvenience 5. Visit your local competition. There is a reason why you have such a big place and not many dogs per day 6. Train your staff on upgrades asking for a bath nails etc. 7. Remove asking for a tip on your credit card machine because at this point I don't know why anyone would tip. 8. Introduce a vet to your clients. 9. Spend more time with the pets instead of keeping them in a kennel for most of their time. 10. Make some immediate changes because your business won't survive if this how your business is ran. There is several reviews similar to mine so I can't imagine we aren't all saying the truth. We have 2 more days left to return and would rather forego the money and go elsewhere. I also emailed in to your only email so maybe I'll get a response. I'm so sad for our boy right now. I would highly recommend any new client to pay attention to your pet and consider going elsewhere because there is much better places for the same price. I hope you can use my review to improve. Even though your under construction 2 months in it really turned us off as well. I won't be returning to your facility for anything in the future. I've called over 20 times today on 05/16 and they won't even answer their phone. It's very sad. Update: The manager has called me several days in a row to check in on blu. In the mean time there is one current and former client that have reached out to me. The current client says that their dog pees in the house often and is most likely being in a kennel. The previous client indicates they don't come back because their dog has been traumatized as well. I'm not the only client that has indicated concerns to this daycare. I also contacted the owner of the daycare in PA twice and left messages and email and not one return phone call. The experiences at this dog daycare are traumatizing to pets. Also, the company has the tenacity to call other businesses about my review. This is a low blow to me personally as that is unfair business practices. Look at yourself and see how you can improve your business. All clients go elsewhere.

A few nits on his belly that a good brush should have worked out. I arrived back to a fully shaven dog. It is going to be single digits next week and he has a summer cut. He's also seemed unusually stressed and anxious since we left. Still many hours later as I'm posting this. Also: - The drop-off felt a little chaotic. - Cut came to $217 (without tip), which is high. - It took close to five hours. When I arrived confused, the groomer seemed to explain that I should have expected this because she said she "might" have to cut him shorter. Any good/experienced groomer would have understood the assignment. All in all, a pretty terrible experience.

As a matter of fact, the oldest dog cannot be told they are getting haircuts until we are just about ready to walk out the door. He gets so excited to be going to see Melanie, that he sits by the door and will wait to get in the car. I am very particular about how my dogs are groomed. Melanie has never disappointed me. When we leave Melanie's they prance like they've been at a spa! Our dogs are treated just like our children with love and compassion. My pup is so tired out when she comes home. She gets SO excited when she knows we are going to daycare -- she honestly can't get out of the car fast enough to get inside. I really like the people who work there and the owner. They will spend a lot of time with you. Given she's a puppy and continues to need training at almost 9 months the owner was extremely helpful in giving me advice in how to train or when I would need a professional trainer. I also found out they work with her on her behavior problems. I was told she plays a tremendous amount and it's proven by the exhaustion she has when she comes home. My husband and I get to have a quiet, relaxed night. She's schuduled for boarding and I have never left any of my dogs with boarding facilities. I've always used petsitters. Given that's it's kennel free and there's someone there with them I feel secure and trust Paradise Paws I'm not concerned about my decision and think she'll have a great time. They're also expanding and will have other activities in addition to space so I'm looking forward to agility classes.

They called and said that there was some matting under the belly and in the rear end. Gave them the "go ahead" to trim up those two areas a little more. Two hours later they called and said that he was ready for pickup. Asked us to take care of payment while they go get him and bring him out to us. When he was brought out he had been completely cut off of all his coat, except for the tip of his tail, front of his head, and paws. He was trimmed up to look like a poodle! And the bill was $40 higher then what was quoted because of a "matting fee" added to the bill. The young gal who did the job apparently had absolutely no experience in double coat dogs Would not recommend them to anyone I know.

She always brings attention to possible concerns for me watch ie redness around penis, ear problems etc. She listens to me about health concerns ie hearing/vision, temperament ie possible biting or skittishness, how short or long to cut. I'm currently on 4 dogs needing grooming. Deb suggested I try bringing in two at a time. She followed up a few sessions later to see how it was working & whether or not I wanted to go back to bringing all 4 at once again. A few yrs ago, I had an emergency foster needing grooming. I took to Petsmart East. Worse grooming experience! I now watch through their window and watch the groomers.Not the most patient groomers-watch how they tug the leash or push down on the dogs. I found Deb based on a co-worker's recommendation after a horrible experience with now defunct groomer at Noah's Ark. The groomer shaved so close on muzzle he had razor burns! Hopefully Deb will have recommendation when she retires (which I hope is not in the near future)!!

I toured, thought it seemed large and well-staffed, and took the risk. I paid for daily photo updates and they sent me really cute pictures every day. My dogs absolutely loved being at Camp K9. I thought when I picked them up they'd be freaking out like when I get home after going to work. They were so happy and chill, I was so relieved. I am glad I trusted Camp K9 with my pups and will be doing so again.
