Not sure if it's still Tabby & Jack's, or if the sign just needs repair

Went in for a toy for my dog, and while they didn't have what I was looking for (a durable chewable nylabone type product), the gal working checkout was really friendly and helped me look, and checked in the back, and even recommended a similar type product if I wanted a durable toy. I was still surprised they didn't carry anything of the nylabone sort (hence the 4 stars) Ended up going with a different toy instead, they carry a nice selection of tough plushies that can weather rough dogs pretty well (although I can't speak to their ability to stand up to the insane chewers out there). Haven't bought food from them, but they seems to have a decent selection of "healthy" food brands, as well as fun healthy treats for dogs. Have not tried their grooming service

Treats and toys.

Today was my first visit here -- we got a gift card and I decided to explore! This is a lovely pet boutique stocked with food, treats, accessories and all kinds of pet goodies. They had several people picking up pets, and I know they also do grooming; they looked lovely to me! The associate who helped me was really nice, they do pick up and prepare orders for people who want to stay in their cars. They carry really high quality food and awesome wool toys for cats, which is great since my cats are obsessed with those wool felted toys. I'll definitely visit Tabby & Jack's again!

Tabby & Jack's always does a great job grooming our Maisie! She is very happy to get there, and is in such great spirits when we pick her up! All of the groomers are great, but Kitch is our favorite so far. Our West Highland Terrier also took puppy classes there 3 years ago, and they did a great job with her!

My dog has been groomed there for-the last couple of years. I have had several groomers and they all do a nice job. He loves his pampering.

It's smaller than a big box place but, they have a TON of stuff packed in here and it's locally owned.

We're working with a local adoption agency to adopt a second dog and the representative said the organization really loves Waggin' Tails, and Waggin' Tales even donates time for the fosters. We boarded our pup here for 5 nights, and when it was all over he seemed pretty normal and not as distressed as I was expecting him to be. He was in the suites. All of his bones/chew toys were gone - meaning they actually gave them to him. Overwhelmed by large groups, they gave him playtime in a small group setting. After this, I noticed his confidence when we went to the dog park had increased. He was much more comfortable approaching dogs and being approached making me think he had a good experience in playtime. He doesn't have any meds or health issues (like many of the negative reviews) - but he does have sensitive skin and his skin was really pink when he left. Next time I'm going to ask them to use our shampoo vs theirs when bathing and see if that makes a difference. I brought him to get temperament tested for large group doggie daycare. They provided useful feedback that he still didn't seem too comfortable - I would rather have the honesty then have them say "it went fine, let's sign him up". They had some other solutions for me - bring him back very early in the day so he can meet them one by one vs all the dogs already being there. Or small group doggie daycare might be the final solution. I appreciate their problem solving and interest in him having a good experience.

She always brings attention to possible concerns for me watch ie redness around penis, ear problems etc. She listens to me about health concerns ie hearing/vision, temperament ie possible biting or skittishness, how short or long to cut. I'm currently on 4 dogs needing grooming. Deb suggested I try bringing in two at a time. She followed up a few sessions later to see how it was working & whether or not I wanted to go back to bringing all 4 at once again. A few yrs ago, I had an emergency foster needing grooming. I took to Petsmart East. Worse grooming experience! I now watch through their window and watch the groomers. Not the most patient groomers-watch how they tug the leash or push down on the dogs. I found Deb based on a co-worker's recommendation after a horrible experience with now defunct groomer at Noah's Ark. The groomer shaved so close on muzzle he had razor burns! Hopefully Deb will have recommendation when she retires (which I hope is not in the near future)!!

However, I will say that the new Self-Serve Dog Wash isn't practical at all. I was excited to use the new wash area and was left disappointed. A few things to note: - There's no grip for the dog in the bath. My dog was slipping around the whole time and digging his claws into the tile/plaster tub. I wish they put some sort of rubber mat down. - The baths don't have that half wall like a traditional tub. It's more like a counter to put your dog on. It looks really nice and it's easy to get the dogs in but I was left soaking wet since the water was just splashing back at me. Even with the apron on. - The hooks with the slip leads are just too close to the corners of the walls. It left my dog standing and sitting in awkward positions. Maybe they should add a hook towards the middle so there's more options. I used to come all the time to bathe my dog but now I just can't see myself using the new washing area again :/ I will definitely continue to shop their selection of food, treats, and toys though!

While Kayla did a great job on my dog's nails, I disagree with this new policy and will probably get nail trims elsewhere.
