Buying a wedding dress can be a very draining and overwhelming experience, but with her we had FUN! We pulled multiple dresses and she was there every step of the way to point out what was special about each dress. I left that day without buying anything and went to another appointment, but I couldn't stop thinking about that dang Stella York. I came back and sealed the deal! The time rolled around for alterations and they were getting settled in their new location. It is gorgeous!!! The bridal showroom is out of this world. I got my alterations done by Judy Bishop via WI. She did a great job and even went above and beyond to clean the dress for me since it was a sample dress. As well as being a bride I am a professional vocalist for a local entertainment band called Royal Suits. We sometimes have high profile gigs and I needed to find a special occasions dress that would really "wow" my audiences. Brittany was such a great host and she was patient as I tried on about 20 dresses (no, seriously). She has extensive knowledge of the alterations process and she was able to tell me what could be done to my dress in order to make it that much more stunning. I want to mention the sale rack! My word! They always have a changing display of discontinued items priced anywhere from $15-50! My friend that was shopping with me bought 2 $15 dresses on a whim and she was very happy about the find. I would recommend this shop to any and every one. The level of professionalism, selection, and knowledge of wedding dresses and special occasion pieces is unmatched. The service was everything you could hope for. I recently took a brand new pant suit to Misha's to have both the sleeves and legs shortened and…read morethe metal clips at the wais eased. When I collected it, one sleeve puckered and would not lie flat, the stitching was incomplete revealing a gaping hole, and the black threads (on a light blue suit) were clearly visible. The pants had been sewn with what could only be described as a "mess" of black stitches which were also visible from the right side. The newly added metal clips were drowned in stitches and the original clips had not been removed. I hadn't realized it was such a mess until I got it home. Reluctant to take it back, I called and Misha insisted on fixing it although he didn't fix the clips. My overall takeaway was: if you need something altered properly, don't take it to Misha!

I really wanted to love this place and support a local business, but my experience was…read moredisappointing. I took 6 pieces in for alterations ($95 total). Most were fine, though rushed, with uneven stitching--but you wouldn't notice unless you looked super closely. However, one pair of pants had particularly poor work--messy stitching that didn't match the fabric color and a new zipper that bulged out when worn. It shouldn't have gone out the door. When I called, Misha was friendly and told me he'd refund both the alteration and the cost of the pants. But when I came back a week later, he acted like that conversation never happened. Instead, he accused me of "trying to make money off of him" and refused to honor the refund he had promised. He offered to fix the pants in 30 minutes, but at that point, I had lost trust and the pants were a lost cause in my eyes. He also got loud and rude, even though I remained calm and trying to have a constructive conversation. After 15 minutes of back-and-forth, he finally wrote me a check for the $26 alteration--but then refused to give me my pants back. It's bad business to make a promise and not follow through (and take my pants?!), but even worse to treat a customer that way. I even told him he could have just said, "Bring them in and let's see what we can do" instead of making an empty promise. After that, he suddenly claimed that's what he had said all along on the phone. So easy to create false memories apparently!
