I dropped off 2 tops on Saturday, October 7, 2017 to be dry cleaned. I asked the younger female…read moreemployee who was working there that day when the tops would be ready. She told me they would be ready by next Friday (10/13/17). That was a good day for me to pick them up considering the event my Fiance and I were going to wear the tops to was the next day (10/14/17) at 3pm. I went by Valdese Cleaners on Friday, October 13, 2017 around 10am to pick up my dry cleaning, but another younger female employee told me that the tops were still not ready, and that they would be ready by 2pm that day. I did not mind too much because just as long as they were ready by that day, I was fine. Since I was busy with my mother and other family members preparing for the event the next day, I asked my father to pick up the dry cleaning for me. He went to pick them up around 3:15pm the same day, but only ONE top was ready and the other was not. My father called me and let me talk to a man who said he was the owner. The owner told me that the other shirt would be ready the NEXT DAY (10/14/17 = day of event) by 9am. I told him about how his employees told me they would be ready Friday, and he tells me that they have been busy and did not have a chance to get to the other shirt. I told him the things that I previously mentioned in this review, and all he could talk about was how they have been busy and did not get around to it and that the other shirt would be ready the next day by 9am. I told him I needed the shirt FRIDAY and that I would like the shirt back even if it could not be dry cleaned that day. He said he would have to go find it. I asked him if he lost it and he said no, it was just somewhere in the building. They did not have all my dry cleaning done the day and time they told me they would be done, and they did not give me the top they did not finish because they had to go "find it". They finally said they would track down the other top and get it cleaned before they closed and call when it was ready so it could be picked up that day. There was an older female employee there that told my father that I never told them that I needed the tops by Friday (10/13/17). Okay, LADY... #1: Why would I have to tell the employee something she already told me? She told me the tops would be ready by FRIDAY (10/13/17). #2: If a business cannot make sure they get something done by the day and time they say, then why would your employees even tell a customer a day and time? I brought my tops to be dry cleaned at Valdese Cleaners because a couple of years ago, I use to bring my scrub tops and bottoms to be hemmed and dry cleaned there. They did that in a timely manner and got all of that done in a week. Now they cannot even get 2 tops dry cleaned on time. I will not bring anything here again. I understand that things happen, but do not say that I SHOULD HAVE TOLD YOU that I needed my dry cleaning by a certain day when YOUR EMPLOYEES TOLD ME what day the dry cleaning would be done. Do not tell your customers when something will be ready if you cannot get it done by that day.

She was absolutely rude and disrespectful to me at all three fittings. She made comments on my weight and about how the dress was four sizes too small even though it zipped when I bought it. The alterations she did were the worst I have ever seen; and this is coming from someone who tailors all of their clothes. She managed to shrink the dress a size when she added a corset to the back; which was meant to add half an inch. The straps were barely attached, and the hem she did on the skirt was the most uneven thing I've ever laid eyes on. I paid her far far far too much, and honestly should've refused to pay after the hack job she gave me back. I wouldn't recommend her to my worst enemy.
