My experience was also NOT good. Initially I really liked the woman. We had a very nice conversation about living in Lee's Summit and about her business. I needed the sleeves taken up on a blazer with a quick turn around time since I was leaving town. I asked if I could get it done by Thursday at noon she said sure for extra cost. I prepaid the cost of the alterations plus the rush job charge which seemed alarmingly high but I needed it done so, whatever. I came in on Thursday at noon just like I said I would. I should have known there was going to be a problem when the women didn't recognize me (even after a 20 min chit chat three days prior). She asked me what I was picking up and as I was telling her I saw my blazer in a pile on a work station clearly NOT ready. Mind you I have a plane to catch within hours from this time. She said that she could MAYBE skip lunch to get it done at 1:30. I was so pissed so I stormed out knowing damned well I had no time to wait around for her to MAYBE get the blazer done. I had to make a last minute run to White House Black Market for another blazer. I called this women back and expressed how unacceptable this was and to not fix the blazer and that I expected a full refund. She started hollering at me, I was hollering at her. She tried to say that I said that I was leaving on friday, which I clearly wasn't (I double checked the claim ticket which said THURSDAY). I realized that I was really over reacting by being angry and giving her a piece of my mind. I was taking my stress out on a small business owner who clearly made a mistake. Had she simply copped to the oversight we could have avoided a most unnecessary and unpleasant exchange. Over a week later when I got back into town, I planned on going in there to pick it up and apologize for my being ugly, taking the higher ground as it were. But I chickened out for fear that if she wanted to tell me off I would've blown my stack. Still pissed about this, I'm not sure why, but, anyway... Needless to say, I sent my hubby in to pick it up. Frankly, if I did pick it up myself chances are she would have forgotten me anyway. The alterations came out great though . The moral of the story is, if you want something done quickly you better make sure that she knows exactly when you're coming back ito pick it up and write it down on the claim ticket. Double and triple check with her, maybe even call her the day before you come to remind her. read more

I would strongly encourage you to find anybody, ANYBODY, else to do your alterations. The owner is one of the most unfriendly individuals I have ever met. I dropped off jeans that needed a new zipper. What she told me would take 2 weeks, ended up taking 5 weeks. When I showed up to pick up the jeans 2 weeks after I dropped them off, she informed me that she hadn't even ordered the new zipper yet and was shocked that I was disappointed to not get my clothes on the day she promised them. In addition to that, I accidentally dialed her number a few weeks after I picked up my jeans and when I didn't answer her return call, she called 6 times in a row and left a voicemail reprimanding me for "prank calling." ARMY CSM I took my Army mess uniform to have the jacket taken in on the sides, and some service stripes & rank sewn on the sleeves and to alter the length of the uniform pants. The owner charged me $100 to do this and wanted half up front (no big deal). It took her a week and a half to alter my pants and the jacket, which came out half-ass. The service stripes were crooked as hell, and the rank was slanted at an angle which was also un-acceptable (and they were completed a d as after she ptomised they would be complered). On top of that she claimed that my jacket was too thick so she couldn't use the sewing machine to sew all this, so she had to hand sew the rank and service stripes (this brought new meaning to crooked & unprofessional). It was the worst alteration that I've ever seen in my 26 years of military service. She didnt want to sew the service stripes into the seams of the jacket as regulation dictates, then argued with me, stating that shes always done it that way in the past. I took my uniform all messed up away from her because she had done such a terrible job and she expressed no concern for my satisfaction, nor did she offer to comp me for her mistake. This lady is the worst alteration shop in Lees Summit, MO. So I suggest you take your business elsewhere. I ended up taking my uniform to Pride cleaners in Lees Summit, which actually has the military regs on hand so they know where your stuff actually needs to be placed. They did a bang up job and from this point will get all of my business. I cant stress enough how arrogant and un-skilled the owner of Perfect fit is, so please stay clear of this place, unless you care nothing about how your garments look. Also she claimed to press my uniform, but there were wrinkles in the pants and jacket that looked as though they were laid down on a table with a bunch of other stuff piled on top of them. She charged me $25 instead of the $50 balance left, which still like a kick in the groin, considering that I still had to take my uniform somewhere else to get fixed. "HORRIBLE SERVICE" is how I sum up this experience. Take heed and take your business elsewhere!!! read more

I gave Homa my wedding dress 2 months prior to my wedding. She decided not to start working on it until 1 month prior, after asking me to make sure to give her plenty of time, which is why I gave her 2 months. She was also charging me $600, putting 1/2 down at drop off, I thought was extremely high, but she promised me this was her "specialty, not to worry about a thing". She is very good at talking the talk. The day before my wedding she still didn't have the dress finished. I was told some long story about how she got into an argument with a customer and had to call the cops on him. This was her reason for why my dress wasn't done. I told her, this is exactly why I gave her the dress 2 MONTHS AGO! I kept calling her throughout the day (again, the day BEFORE my wedding) and finally told her I was coming to pick my dress up, this was now at 9pm the night before my wedding! The bottom of the dress was completely uneven and top of the dress didn't fit at all. She ruined my dress, don't let her ruin yours! I should have gone to Yong's. I have had other items altered at Yong's since and have been very pleased. read more
