My husband and I came here for brunch on Valentines Day. Service was great, despite the restaurant being quite busy. It is a plus that they utilize the brewery in their menu, as their were plenty of beer options to try. As for the brunch, we ordered the cinnamon rolls, the chicken dip sandwich, and the eggs/potato combo. The food was alright, nothing out of the ordinary, but nothing I would come back for either. You can definitely find the same quality, if not better options in the area. However, if you're looking to try out some beers; which were quite good, then I'm sure it's worth checking out the dinner menu! read more

After fighting crowds on the weekend to no seats available, we were able to get a seat during the week and there were plenty of tables available. We started with a beer flight and I went for the more sour varieties. Delicious and the perfect pour amount where you got to sip enough to decide if the brew was a good fit. We ordered too much food but everything was so fresh and plated beautifully that we had no regrets. We started with the croquettes and they were crispy with a pillowy moist center. They were really good but the best was yet to come. The cheese curds...the perfect mix of deep fried cheese mixed with cauliflower and peppers. You never know what bite you were getting but it was all delicious. Our next dish were the calypso shrimp and they were a good fit with just enough heat where you could eat and not feel mouth burn. The salsa and sauce just elevated the dish and we wanted more. The sliders were surprising in that the filet was so tender and flavorful. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the onion jam but paired with the creamy Gorgonzola it fit better but next time I would try them without. By the time the salad arrived we were stuffed and wished we had ordered it with the dressing on the side so we could take it with us. We tried it despite full bellies and it's a great summer salad and so well balanced and tasty. The service was stellar too! So overall I am a huge fan and can't wait to return. read more

My husband and I walked in on a Friday on a whim. We still feel most comfortable eating outdoors during the pandemic so we sat on the front patio. We were seated quickly and our server "Tim A" greeted us. He was super friendly and answered our questions about the menu. I had the Mahi Mahi burger and my husband had the turkey burger. Both were very tasty. Overall, I was really impressed with the kind and professional waitstaff, and the delicious food. It exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back. Next time we hope to sit in the cutie little beer garden. Welcome to the neighborhood! read more

The cheese curds 10/10! Staff was AMAZING and so nice! This was our first ever restaurant in chicago and set the bar high! read more

The Perch - Aperol Spritz - Breweries Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Meh food (fries were stale/cold, meat was not tender and cold), great service though.

Don't waste your time or money! Consistency, organization and customer service are vital to being a successful restaurant. I worked for years as a bartender, server and manager, so I have some experience. The Perch is already failing in these areas. Shame too, I was excited about this place. Let's talk details. I tried to order dinner online. There's big colorful button on the site that says "Order Online", but all items are not available. This is because they are starting their take out next week. But then I called and they took my order over the phone, uhhh ok. I tried the half chicken, grilled slaw and corn bread. First, they messed up the order by forgetting the side to the chicken (mashed potatoes). Second, it was about $50 and the food was bland. Trust me, go to SMOKE DADDY'S! Ten times better and much, much cheaper! Because their just starting, I gave them 10$ tip for a simple takeout. And how do I get treated for that? The next day I go by and ask for a cinnamon roll to go and they say no. I can't order a simple cinnamon roll to go? Wha?!?? Really? Apparently the manager had to sign off on this massive and vital transaction, lol! There was some weird excuse about the kitchen not being overwhelmed or something, who knows, it was weird and the first time I've ever heard of this. The person eventually said that he didn't know what to tell me... "sorry man". I didn't want to the guy to strain his mind too much, so I said ok and left. Not a biggie, plenty of places much better than this! Trust me! You won't leave having a terrible experience, but you won't have any desire to return. Again real shame and surprising. Your disappointing customers your first week in. Not an intelligent decision and a bad sign for their reputation/future. My guess, I think The Perch will last 12-18 months. Hopefully I'm wrong! All I know is I won't be going back. Lackluster food, weird rules, way overpriced and staff breaks the golden rule!!!! Don't disappoint your customers over a cinnamon role!!! Ok, I made that rule up, but it should be one! read more

Plenty of seating inside but was told all the tables were reserved for reservations only. A restaurant should not have all their tables set for reservations only. Extremely disappointing. No intentions of coming back. read more

went here for a few drinks and appetizers. The beer list was really good I had a couple different tasters and all were beers I would drink again! The appetizers on the other hand were alright, we had the cheese curds and the wood fired veggies both needed a little something to amp up the flavor salt/acid. The artichoke where also really messy to eat as well. Overall would go again for the ambiance and the beer list! read more

The Perch is awesome! Spacious, modern inside and a lot of outdoor seating options. Fairly large menu, with some great brunch options. Large, unique beer list, with the option to take home a 32 oz crowler. Great place to grab a meal in West Town! read more

5 stars for the service. Host, waitress, and bussers were all so incredibly nice. Taylore was our waitress and she was phenomenal! Ambiance was nice and the restaurant itself is quite cute. The food was pretty good all around; I think I'd prefer to try lunch or dinner next time around. I had the Wicker Park Omelette - it was DELISH but nothing super special. I think more creative brunch choices would go a long way, would suggest adding chicken and waffles! I would definitely come back here. read more

Great service! The staff go the extra mile. The food was also delicious and great for something different from traditional brunch.

Recently went to The Perch for brunch and had a great experience. The service team was polite and punctual. Food was delicious, from the Lobster Deviled Eggs, Cheese Curds and Red Velvet Pancake, to the Breakfast Tacos and the Egg Sandwich. Looks like other reviewers may be going a bit hard on a brand new place during the pandemic, but we'll definitely be back. read more

Pretty OK brunch food. Service was fantastic and the food came out right away during a busy brunch.

We had an incredible time at The Perch. Their outdoor seating was warm, and still felt safe. The food was delicious, service was great, and the patio was adorable. We will definitely be coming back soon! read more

Good upscale casual place. Felt like an easy place to grab lunch with friends. Ambiance was good, was well lit inside

We had such a fantastic time. Making reservations was easy and all the food was delicious. Our group ordered the half chicken, chicken dip sandwich, ribs, and the ribeye. Everyone enjoyed their meal and Yuri was an excellent waiter. Will come back read more

Had a great late lunch on the patio. We split a Steak salad, fries and artichokes and was plenty of food. Our server Kenna was so nice and helpful. Highly recommend, and try middle of the afternoon to avoid the crowds! read more

We had a really nice weekend lunch at the Perch! We made a reservation ahead of time which id recommend, as it was very crowded at noon on a Saturday. We sat on the patio with our dog, and it was nice and shaded with umbrellas even though it was very sunny out. We had the cheese curds, chicken dip sandwich, and mahi mahi sandwich. Everything was super tasty. We also had a few different beers and cocktails which also were really good. Our dog also enjoyed that they have a doggy menu! Service was quick and friendly and the waiter gave some good recommendations. Highly recommend for a weekend brunch/lunch when you want to sit outside! read more

I want to start off by saying that this is a beautiful restaurant and the food, service and wine were just wonderful. We were seated in the enclosed area off the main restaurant. At the end of our meal I thought I saw something moving on the floor near the table kitty corner from us. I thought I was seeing things so I went on with my conversation. The second time I saw "it" I said something to my friend and she turned around and saw the same thing A RAT! The third time it came out the table next to us saw it too! When our server approached and we brought it to her attention she said, "Yes se are aware and have set traps." You could tell she was uncomfortable. As we left my friend thought we should let the hostess know. I've have never witnessed a person execute an EYE ROLL like this in my life. Received the same response about traps including "well technically you are sitting outside..." I have been eating in Chicago restaurants all my life (inside and outside) and have never shared a space with a rat. I would have preferred a "I'm so sorry!" Wasn't looking for free meal, but I was shocked at the response. I have an expectation of eating a meal rat-free. Won't go back! read more

The Perch - Actual rat that "visited" us three times. - Breweries Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

We took advantage of the new TV dinner program. Spent 30 for a crowler of craft beer and two very sizable dinner packages. Very very good. And very reminiscent of the foiled fare of the 70s but so much better. Our house is 18yo to over 55 and we approve. Very creative for take home. Check this out ! read more

Really great food and vibe! Their beer selection is amazing and food is even better. We had their vegetable platter which would be any vegetarians dream entree and was delicious. The sliders were our favorite - 10/10 recommend if you're looking for a brewery with healthier more farm to table food! read more

Has such a great experience at The Perch! We had a really great dinner - got the grouper, steak, and sausages. Our waiter, Neil, made our evening all that much more wonderful. He was very nice and cautious of our dietary restrictions! read more

Great atmosphere, especially in the summer when you can open up the doors or sit on the patio. Beers are so yummy (love sour and fruit beers) and food is delicious too (lobster deviled eggs, cornbread, and chicken dip are my faves). Would definitely recommend. read more

The Perch is an absolute asset to Division. The food is outstanding, from the filet sliders, to the salmon. The hosts are always super nice and the service has been excellent every time we have gone in for dinner, however, it appears there is a bit of turnover since we have literally never had the same bartender twice, which may simply be a function of covid or the place being new. The deviled eggs would be better with truffle oil on them like Del Frisco Grill, but that's a personal preference. Overall, I can't wait to go back! read more

The outdoor heated patio here is fantastic, what an awesome space. Haven't tried the beer (yet) but the food was good. The prime rib hash, croquettes, and calypso shrimp were all pretty delicious. Service was good as well. read more

Great vibe and happy to see them in the neighborhood but the servers auto select the gratuity on the pos devices. Thought it was just our table but it also happened to our friends. Watch out for it. read more

Food was amazing. Service was fast and impeccable! The lobster deviled eggs and corn bread were great starters, and the banana cream pie for dessert was delicious. They have custom beer and great atmosphere. Highly recommend! read more

PRAISE BE that this place moved onto Division. It is the BEST restaurant by far. Their food and drinks are always amazing (and trust me, I can't stand the typical greasy fried bar food) the Old Fashioned, Beer Variety, Steak & Eggs, CHICKEN CHILI are competitive and did I mention they have a dog menu and allow dogs on their patio?! Their biggest selling point though is their service & staff - it is the best...THE BEST. I've been here 5 times and have always loved each server and host. The manager, Megan, goes above and beyond and this place really seems to care about their culture and rep. Jim is a delight. KUDOS to the Perch team! read more

We are so impressed with The Perch! From the decor, KIND staff, KIND manager, and overall vibe-- they did such an outstanding job. First of all, the food is phenomenal. We've been twice and LOVE the rotisserie chicken, the salmon, the cauliflower, vegetarian carrot dish and slaw. Heck even the water tastes good here. We haven't tried the cornbread yet but it's on the list. Don't even read anymore reviews for other places.. the perch is a total gem! read more

We were walking by on Division and decided to just walk into The Perch. It was a great decision!! We just wanted to grab a drink and keep it moving but we were quickly hooked. We sat at the bar and Tailor was FANTASTIC. Great personality and super nice to us. Engaged us in conversation and was very attentive. Her drinks were top notch as well! Definitely will be coming back here because of the experience we had with Tailor. read more

Second time visiting. Food expertly executed. Great service. Good atmosphere. Michelin bib gourmand quality.

Turkey burger was delicious and the beer flight was great. My friend had a small bone in her chicken dip sandwich yet still inhaled it, but I've been here 3 times and every other time is was boneless. Definitely think they truly shine for brunch but I love that they have a dog friendly menu! Blueberry Cornbread Skillet was out of this world, don't miss it! read more

I loved the vibe of the place and the wait staff was attentive. Each day of the weeks had different food options. The drinks were well priced and the beer was good. The only thing is that the waiter forgot to put in one of our apps and we never received it. Other than that it was a great experience! read more

GREAT cocktails - the perfect classic cocktails for summertime. The beer was also good, but with the heat we wanted more cocktails. We'll have to return to sample more of Finch's beer!! Food was great of course! We loved the crab cakes (seafood special of the day), the croquettes, filet sliders, and chicken dip! We sat on the patio and it felt very safe and clean during the COVID-19 pandemic. Can't wait to return! read more

Slow service but good food. Great appetizers and yummy corn bread. We ordered mahi mahi sandwich, ribs, and salmon. We all enjoyed our meals. Will visit again. read more

Been here a couple of times now and it feels like a great addition to Wicker Park. They did a great job with the space after taking it over from a previous bar. It has a cute modern brew pub feel but the food is way beyond brew pub quality. I've had their cornbread, steak sliders, Brussels salad, and ribs and everything has tasted delicious. I also feel like they have done a good job with cleanliness and I have felt very comfortable there both when sitting inside and out. If you are looking for a good, slightly nicer neighborhood spot to bring the family (including the dog who they also have a menu for), this would be a great choice! read more

We just had beers and apps, but both appetizers (the Cheese Curds and the Chips with Blue Cheese) were phenomenal. Their in house brewed beers were great as well. Very comfortable sidewalk seating for warm days, and our server was great. Can't wait to go back for a full dinner! read more
