She didn't wash my hair and cut it half straight half wavy. I have a long chunk on my left side. My hair was really long and now it's an awkward short length. I have no idea how to style it. She wet my bangs down to cut them. When she was done she asked "want me to dry them" it was like 2 degrees outside. I told her I feel like when my hair is cut wet it comes out better. Huge bummer

The thing I can say that will probably sum up this review best is that I wish I lived in Minneapolis so I could have her as my regular stylist! We had a hair trial four days before the wedding (during which she even fixed my bangs!) that really set the tone for how the wedding morning would go. I brought in some pictures, which she followed, and made suggestions on. She was personable and easy to talk with, and the most important thing is that my hair looked AWESOME on my wedding day! I must also note that Shelly came to the hotel my wedding was held at to do hair in the morning; without charging too much extra. I really appreciated that we could do all our getting ready in one place! Her price is extremely reasonable for wedding hair. Second problem, Sara was in a hurry and it showed. She'd made plans to go to the state fair and that was where her focus was. I had really long hair when I walked into that salon, past my waist. I was ready to get some length cut off but wanted to start with cutting off maybe 6 inches. I even showed her how much. She appeared to understand. Then she proceeded to cut at approximately 12" off and because my hair has curl it's just below my shoulders when dry. I was traumatized by her cutting off so much of my hair. And what did she do to make my hair dark? It was a trim appointment not a foil. Afterwards SHE pointed out that it looked uneven in the back. Mam, YOU cut my hair. Why are you pushing me out the door with an uneven cut?? Third problem, I walked in as a blonde and left as a brunette. I have no idea what she put in my hair but my blonde is gone! I was so distraught by the dark color and how much hair she cut off but didn't want to cause a scene in front of the two people sitting in the lobby. So I smiled and made pleasant conversation while I paid my bill when in reality I wanted to scream and cry. In summary, she couldn't remember what time my appointment was, made plans causing her to rush through my appointment, didn't listen to what I asked for, paid no attention when I said my hair has natural curl, and she had no idea how to use a diffuser. I walked out of that salon and my hair looked like a rats nest. I had to go home and restyle it but that didn't change how short it was or how dark it was. In all good conscience I cannot recommend her or the salon.

It's a loonnnng, boring wait while your foils are processing when you can't do anything on your phone like answer a work email, send a text, kill time on social media. You just kind of have to ... sit there. Forty-five minutes of either creepily people-watching salon customers, or looking at your own frightening, foil-covered head in the mirror.

Never happened like this before Extremely unprofessional experience. I arrived on time for my appointment and was left waiting for over 30 minutes with no communication. When I asked, I was told I could reschedule--as if my time didn't matter. The reason given was that a previous bridal appointment ran late. That is not the customer's responsibility. If schedules run behind, communicate and manage it properly. I had planned my day around this appointment, and this level of disregard is unacceptable. This reflects poor management and lack of respect for customers' time. Big salon chains may not care about individual experiences, but this should not be normalized.
