    Perch sandwich
    Ally D.

TL;DR: Go here for the donuts and ice cream and skip the rest. I've been coming to Lakeside for years and, as a kid, never really understood why we didn't go to The Patio for lunch or dinner. And then a few years ago, I got some food that was underwhelming. Because The Patio was all that was open after 3 today, I went to have a perch sandwich because, after all, it is on Lake Erie where the perch are fresh. The sandwich, clocking in at $15, was three small, fried nuggets of perch that were neither crisp, nor juicy, on a few-days-past-fresh bun with a bag of chips. AND--served in a Styrofoam container. For being a business that relies on Lake Erie tourism, you'd hope they'd care enough to drop the Styrofoam for something a little less harmful to our planet. They serve Tofts ice cream, which is always great, and they make an amazing donut. Other than that, catch a meal elsewhere.

BEST donuts! So many yummy donuts here, the coconut is a household favorite for us. They are surprisingly large and filling. They also freeze well! Remember to bring cash. They do not accept card. $1.50/donut.

One of the few restaurants in the area that has a 4 stars rating. So we tried the fried chicken and fried perch they were ok, breading is fairly decent it comes with 2 sides I picked coleslaw and potato salad. We capped it with their peach crumble pie which was the best part. It was really good. Didn't try the donuts they didn't look inviting they also have ice creams by the scoop.

The chocolate frosted donut with coconut is top tier. The other breakfast options were hot, fresh and just as delicious!

Expensive deep fried food. Service is great, but the food is just OK and overpriced. I probably would not return.

4-stars for FANTASTIC donuts--but if you want soft-serve it seems to be creamier across the intersection.

Typical diner fare, nothing special but perfectly edible. Donuts are very, very good.

Sooo good!!! Came here on a girls trip and fell in love with it! We dined in one of the adorable…read moreglass houses, which was near a mini fish pond, flower garden, and fire pit. The whole location was super whimsy and adorable! As for the food, it was amazing!!! We ordered the charcuterie board as an appetizer, which was gone in minutes. The poke bowl was my friend's, and she said she enjoyed it and said it was similar to decomposed sushi. I got the lemon ricotta ravioli and it was DIVINE. Generally, I'm not a big cheese person, but I loved this. I ordered it without the ricotta topping, but it was still delicious! Very rich and comforting. All in all, delicious and definitely worth checking out if you're in the market for a charming but fancy dining experience.

There were 8 of us. And 1 was a 2 yr old. The good. They have a good amount of choices to drink. Their wine, guest wine, and a full bar. So lots of choices. We tried the summer blush. It has strawberries and peaches. It was good. I enjoyed it. We bought a bottle for $25. Orders lunch. I got the Korean cauliflower appetizer. It was pretty small. Giant piece of leaf lettuce in it. And the ranch dressing was also inside of it. Not a ton of the cauliflower. Kinda disappointing to be honest. I ate it. I liked it. But not sure how it is supposed to be shared by a table with not a lot of food. Disappointing. My partner got the portobello sandwich. She said it was very sloppy and just OK. So food is kinda pricey and not really worth it. This is a nice winery. Plenty of choices to drink. Lots of space inside and outside to sit and drink and hang out. Wine is OK. Food in my opinion is pricey and not as good as it should be for the price. Staff was nice. Plenty of parking. This almost feels too touristy and just a money grab. Just my opinion. Probably skip next time I'm in the area. Try something else.

After visiting the area for many summers we finally tried this place on a Thursday night as their kitchen was open til a decent hour. We were immediately impressed with the complimentary chips and amazing salads trio that was both fresh and oh so good. I was not familiar with fried salmon( I always enjoy it grilled, broiled, or baked) so I tried the taco featuring three delicately fried pieces topped with pickled onions and a medley of fresh veggies. I swapped my mixed fries for the street corn which did not disappoint but after sampling my husband's mixed fries I realized I made the wrong choice as the mixed fries are out of this world. Similarly, the birria tacos are juicy perfection that I now see why are the popular choice on the menu. Get them. You won't regret it. A seasonal peach margarita also blew my doors off as it was made with fresh and real ingredients - no prep made syrups here. The beautifully preserved lime and peach and choice of rim only added to the wow factor. We left full, feeling pampered and impressed. Can't wait to return next time we're in the Lakeside vicinity!
