Drinks, pastries & breads

What a delightful little bakery. Located near the railroad tracks in downtown Cibolo. Look for the cute little house facing the tracks. I met a friend here for coffee, pastries and conversation. It's a great place to be able to visit & enjoy a delicious treat. Staff is very kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. I thoroughly enjoyed my vanilla latte and my brookie (brownie/cookie). They have a large selection of pastries, breads, and sweets to choose from. I definitely need to try one of their cinnamon rolls. It looks so good. Staff was wonderful at describing each of the items. I will definitely be back to pick up some fresh bread and croissants.

Cheesecake Pastry

I don't know about you but sometimes you have to have a good pastry. So in order to feed that need I decided to try, "The Pastry Corner". Now this place is very welcoming the garden in the patio, the comforting atmosphere of the home gives this place a sense of family. As you enter you notice the pastries and a good seating area also but mainly the pastries. The people inside politely greet you and give you time to choose what you'll have and answer any questions you might have. They have a great selection of pastries, scones, bagels and coffees. I chose a cheesecake pastry with a melted caramelized marshmallow topping, which was delicious. If in the area I highly recommend this place.

We love this place. It is just right down the street from us. Baked goods are always made fresh, and the breads r to die for. Sadly the hours are never long enough they are open until 3pm. I wish I was a little longer. But it's worth waking up early and going to get the goodies

Pastry Corner is an adorable bakery and easily one of the yummiest places I've ever been--seriously, the treats are incredible. That said, this review is solely based on the service. The staff didn't greet us upon arrival, and when our drinks were ready, they were left on the table without any clarification. We had to ask which one was ours among several, which made things a bit confusing. I'd love to see the service match the quality of the food because this place truly has so much potential!

Strawberry cruffin

This is a cute and cozy little spot. It sits off the main road behind other small businesses so it could be a little hard to find without GPS. The workers were sweet young girls who greeted us immediately. I had the cruffin and cheesecake, both were great. The cheesecake was more cheesecake than banana pudding, but still good (and bigger than I expected). The only (somewhat minor) negative is that another customer came in with a dog. I don't necessarily enjoy eating around animals but thankfully they didn't stay to eat inside. Other than that the place was nice and clean and I recommend checking it out!

Cinnamon rolls

First time here after reading reviews. Great little artisan bakery with baked good. Decided to try cinnamon rolls. I should have asked to warm it up would have been better. Just had brewed coffee... (drip coffee) More of a bakery than coffee shop. Can't wait to try the other goodies.

Goooooood stuff

Thee absolute best cinnamon roll I have EVER had! Only rival would have been the one from Lulu's Bakery. They are consistently good! The cookies are 2nd to none as well. If you're from the Cibolo/Schertz area and remember how amazing Mama J's Cookies was, then you should rejoice because Pastry Corner has AMAZING cookies. The Chocolate chip cookies are perfect, the Snickerdoodle cookies are perfect. They even have a brookie- which is a brownie, cookie. They have cheesecakes, hand made pop tarts and all kinds of other stuff!! Plus they have coffee!!!! Good coffee too. Love it!!!!!!

Brookie (brownie + cookie) at Pastry Corner

When I found Pastry Corner, I was looking for a quiet place with wifi, but it turned out that the food is so good that I am planning to come back with friends. The café is in a refurbished house in old town Cibolo. They have a wide variety of baked goods ready to eat or take home. The staff are friendly and kept up with a stream of customers. I ordered a croissant and tea, and picked up some sweets to go. I was tempted to get a loaf of challah or sourdough as well. They serve a variety of coffee beverages, too. There is counter seating with stools, a conversation area with a couch and armchairs, a communal long table (at a good height for laptop typing), and cafe tables.

They're basically fly infested. And when you tell them about it they act like it's normal. This use to be my favorite bakery but not anymore

Hometown Eats. What an exquisite little eatery/bakery! So happy to have found this place, which has…read morebeen under my nose for the past year apparently. Small, but comfortable place that has a few tables inside and out. Sell coffee and baked goods but also has a nice little breakfast/brunch menu. The owners ran the place and really seemed "happy" to see us, took time to walk us through the menu, offer suggestions, etc. just extremely "comfortable" place to be from the moment we walked through the door. My wife and I always pick two entrees and share. We went with the breakfast sandwich and the biscuits and gravy and we were not disappointed. The house made brioche bun for the sandwich and the biscuits were out-of-this-world delicious. Based on that, I would wager that the other baked goods they had displayed (scones, cinnamon rolls, etc) would have been wonderful! (I'll be back soon to confirm this) Back to the food...the sandwich was very good- egg was perfectly "over hard" and high quality cheese and bacon. The maple-chipotle mayo absolutely made the bite. Next time I will ask for extra, maybe slathered on both halves of the bun. The flavor of that mayo was unlike anything I've tasted- thoroughly enjoyed it and it complimented the overall flavor of the sandwich so well. Delicious!!! As already mentioned the biscuits were outstanding...which is not something that I say lightly. While I will always try biscuits and gravy, I am usually disappointed and it is typically because of biscuits that are too dense and too dry. These were neither- they were incredible and I'm not sure what gave them the touch of "sweet" but that little touch took the flavor of the biscuit over the top for me. Finally, the gravy was perfect from the amount of sausage to the elegant "sage-iness" of the bite. With respect to the quantity of gravy, it is not uncommon for places to not give enough gravy. The ratio of gravy to biscuit must be difficult to master, well they've done it at Northern D'Lights!! Just incredible experience and we will be back, on the regular! Give this place a go...great place!

My husband got the breakfast bowl with egg, veggies, and bacon. We were the only ones there which for barely 7:30am is understandable, the man behind the counter was very nice and friendly. Over all we loved the quiet breakfast to kick off our morning and will definitely be back.

The bakery was founded in 1868; it is recognized as the oldest continuously operating bakery in Texas. Naegelin Bakery is located in downtown New Braunfels, which makes it convenient for sightseeing and picking items up to enjoy while engaging in local activities. The bakery has old-world charm...old school display cases and shelving along with the quintessential bakery smell. You are immediately drawn into the bakery web. Definitely an ole school bakery... Naegelin's is known for traditional German baked goods, including apple strudel, kolaches (both fruit and meat), German rye bread, and its iconic pink-frosted Lebkuchen cookies. According to bakery staff, many recipes are still based on formulas developed generations ago. I purchased apple strudel, oatmeal raisan cookies and a piece of cheesecake. All were good, however, the strudel was the standout. The bakery also offers a wide range of breads, cakes, doughnuts, and seasonal items, making it easy to find something regardless of taste or occasion.
