SUPER nice staff. Explained their menu well. Cutest spot to hangout and get ice cream. Can't wait to come back and try out the flights they offer and some cake!

I was visiting town with a friend when we found this place. I liked the concept of the place and wanted to give it a try. The place was clean and neat inside. We were able to get a table thankfully before the crowd showed up. The women that worked there were great and very patient with us as we were figuring out what we wanted. We had ordered a few cakes to try. My cake was red velvet, oreo filling, topped with vanilla cake, buttercream frosting and strawberries. My cake tasted very good and I really enjoyed it. The frosting was pretty sweet but I was able to handle it. I liked how we can build our own cake however we want. My friend had a carrot cake with chocolate cover strawberry on top and her cake tasted nice too. I did order another cake for my mother which was a brownie with buttercream and chocolate cake on top. The cake tasted fine but the brownie wasn't that impressive. The brownie was hard and it didn't taste as sweet as I hoped. We had also ordered a flight of coffees to give a try. I really liked the tres leches coffee tasted good and sweet but not overpowering. N-bee honestly just tasted like coffee with not much added i was expecting more. After I mixed it with the pink cream on top it tasted better. The blueberry muffin one i didnt taste any blueberry at all. Probably my least favorite one for sure. I didnt get a chance to try campfire but my friend liked it. Overall it was a fun concept and happy I had the opportunity to visit. If I come back I would try something other coffees and maybe different combo for my cake.

My bf and I came for the first time and the associate was SO patient and helpful and provided really good customer service and helped us decide what to get. Overall I love the cake that we decided on and the lattes were so good!!

Pretty nifty little place. The people there are really friendly. You basically build your own cake. They have brownie, vanilla, strawberry and cheesecake. So you take two cakes and add your favorite filling and toppings. The cake was fresh and moist and the buttercream filling was very good.So overall it was really good but I'm not sure it's worth almost ten bucks? They also have ice cream and several different infused drinks. So if you don't want the cake they have other options. If you're in the area give this place a shot.

I rounded up for the 4 stars. Overall, great concept and I hope this place sticks around. So many times so people just crave a piece of cake and now that is a reality. I was here with a girlfriend for a girls day and we both built our own cake. Slices could be easily split or shared as they are rich. I thought the selection was good. I think there was about 5-6 options for each item (cake, frosting, filling). A few cons though. Not much seating indoors. I wish there was a few other savory items, but the kolache was enjoyable. The icing is very sweet and the cake was a little dry. The filling scoops are cute, but when you make a layered cake, the filling doesn't evenly spread. Friendly staff, chill and cute environment. Great for a date or outing. Overall enjoyed snd would go back.

super good! i like that they have so many different options. i was already full when i went there, but couldn't pass it up. i ordered red velvet and vanilla cake with the cheesecake mousse and it was good! the people in my group also tried the carrot cake, normal cheesecake, banana mousse and oreo mousse and they were all good! buttercream was good but not my favorite so i'll definitely try the whipped icing next time!

Stop here fir first time shop looks so cute decorated. Staff is amazing fast and friendly. As for the cake cold be better. Cake was dry and frosting too too sweet not flavors. For the price please improve the texture quality. Nothing But Bunt I'd do much better. Cute shop though attracts people for sure

Lemon cake on bottom, whipped banana pudding frosting in the middle, carrot cake and buttercream on top. Unusual, but it worked!!

We stopped by Cake Bar and tried their "Build a Slice" option, which comes as a two-layer creation. One slice was classic chocolate cake with buttercream frosting--sweet, decadent, and everything you want from chocolate cake. The other was a unique mix of lemon cake, carrot cake, buttercream, and banana pudding frosting. Surprisingly, the unusual combination worked really well. The cake was moist and soft. Hopefully, they'll have the same flavors next time. If you've got a sweet tooth or want to try something outside the ordinary, Cake Bar is worth a visit.

The bakery was founded in 1868; it is recognized as the oldest continuously operating bakery in Texas. Naegelin Bakery is located in downtown New Braunfels, which makes it convenient for sightseeing and picking items up to enjoy while engaging in local activities. The bakery has old-world charm...old school display cases and shelving along with the quintessential bakery smell. You are immediately drawn into the bakery web. Definitely an ole school bakery... Naegelin's is known for traditional German baked goods, including apple strudel, kolaches (both fruit and meat), German rye bread, and its iconic pink-frosted Lebkuchen cookies. According to bakery staff, many recipes are still based on formulas developed generations ago. I purchased apple strudel, oatmeal raisan cookies and a piece of cheesecake. All were good, however, the strudel was the standout. The bakery also offers a wide range of breads, cakes, doughnuts, and seasonal items, making it easy to find something regardless of taste or occasion.

I was very disappointed, none of the above. I don't think the girl working had a clue what I was looking for. I really don't think she knows much about German baked goods. First clue this was not the place. We bought a cream puff (basically just Pate a Choux w/bland vanilla pudding), a Maple Pecan Roll (sweet no maple flavor), sweet pretzel sticks (New to me. I was not sure what to expect here but not good) and something else. None seemed very good or fresh. Not a horrible place and I don't want to be negative. But, I always look for things I miss from living 6 years in Germany. If someone is looking for similar I don't want them to be disappointed or lose valuable time and effort.
