I understand small business and unique ideas but truly not worth it. The staff was nice and the cake was alright but for $9!!! It needs to be a perfect tasting cake to be worth it. What a clever, unique and delicious way to serve your guests cake! I am in love. Caketini Bar & Co arrives at your venue and sets the bar as seen in my attached image. Our "caketender" (Get it? Caketender and not bartender; clever!) served the most delicious cake choices, fillings, frostings and toppings. I was so excited to see the process, taste the finished serving and experience it all, that I never took a snap of my choice. Allow me to tell you. I chose from THREE cake options the chocolate fudge, from the FOUR filling options I selected caramel, from the FOUR frosting options I selected the chocolate buttercream and lastly from the FOUR topping options I selected the Heath bar pieces. OH MY GOD! The cake was so moist and yes it was a sweet choice (literally) but not hurt your teeth sweet. Well done. What a great concept and what a fun experience. I'd love to have a party just to hire them and serve cake. Brides to be, grooms to be, give them a go!

What started out as a quest to find the best old-fashioned Carrot-cake for Easter ended up as the…read morebiggest disappointment of the year. With over fifty years in the foodservice business I have had the pleasure of serving some of the finest restaurants in the country. That also means tasting some of the finest foods served by these restaurants. My favorite cake ever, was a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting made by the Pub Restaurant Group in the Pacific Northwest. They used toasted fresh ground spices, finely grated carrots, crushed pineapple, broken walnuts, brown sugar a little orange zest and oil instead of butter. It was always the most delicious, moist cake with flavor that lasted all night. So this Easter I ordered Carrot Cake from Pennington Cakes, was assured of the quality and ingredients used. Even assured of crushed pineapple for extra moistness. Placing the order I was convinced that the $55.00 was well spent. Well I hate to say the cake was a complete disaster. The cake was a stale fall apart dry crumbly mess with a non-cream cheese sweet gooey frosting. It was not edible. Thank God I made an Apple cake for non cream cheese lovers. It saved the day. When I called to discuss this with the owner, he nastily dismissed me as a second hand complainer with little knowledge compared to his many years in the baking business. I wonder how many different names and places he has used to stay in business this long. CROSS THIS PLACE OFF THE LIST AND NEVER COME BACK.

Thanks to our local social media, I found Candi! Sent a text message and got an almost immediate response. I had a picture of what my daughter wanted and sent it to Candi. Her immediate response that she can do that was heartening. Then, based on my one experience in specialty cake ordering for my grandaughter's Sweet 16, I braced for the cost. What a pleasant surprise when I was quoted a very reasonable price with availability within our 2-week window. She even delivered it 80 miles for a nominal fee. She arrived on time, on a Saturday afternoon. Everyone in attendance raved about the appearance, presentation of the cake, and the accompanying cupcakes. Upon the cutting and serving of the cake, both Candi and I were praised, she for her skills and me for being smart enough to engage her. I graciously accepted our compliments although my family members knew it was luck rather than intelligence. The cake was exactly what my daughter selected and pictured. Per my daughter's request, Candi provided a vanilla cake with almond buttercream icing, raspberry fruit compote filling, and vanilla cupcake with white chocolate ganache and fruit compote filling. I, and all of those in attendance would give Candi a glowing recommendation and future business.
