I stumbled upon this place while on my way to drop a package off at the post office down the road. Since I was going to drive by it again to get to 35, I decided to stop by and check it out. The first thing I noticed walking up was the "Cash Only" signs taped to the door, but I wasn't worried because I knew I had some on me. The staff was really nice and apologized for making me wait while they restocked the case with fresh treats. I wasn't bothered at all, though, because it gave me time to plan my attack. By 9 am, they were out of apple fritters, but they still had a decent variety for me to get 8 donuts. Their cake donuts are on point. Especially the double chocolate one. I'd say the glazed blueberry cake felt a little lighter than that one. Yeast donuts felt pretty classic. Just what you'd expect from a mom & pop donut shop. The only thing that wasn't spectacular was the glazed old-fashioned. I got one of those and a cinnamon version since it's one of my favorite types, but they were missing the craggy texture you know and love for that particular donut. Either way, a good place to get your donut fix if you're in the area. I'd be willing to try the savory kolaches next time and get there earlier to snag an apple fritter. read more

I always order cinnamon rolls here. They're not too sweet and come with a glaze instead of thick icing. Go early if you like warm donut holes. They sell out fast. I stopped by one day with my son to try out their kolaches when I spotted the most beautiful donuts I had ever seen. I bought an entire dozen to take to the office because I just couldn't help myself. I think that box of donuts got at least 10 Facebook and Instagram posts. my daughter and I stopped by for the first time last week and ordered the bestest and largest jelly donut I've ever had. the older gentleman (the owner maybe) at the drive thru window was very polite and personable. we also ordered a blueberry, a chocolate donut and a sausage kolache which were all also very well made and tasty. luckily we had cash though because they don't accept cards.
