Ok let's start with selection. There are so many choices you might need to let some regulars pass, this might take a moment. I went with the sausage and pepper jack cheese, and it was delightful. Also had a glazed blueberry cake donut, my go-to to judge across all donut places, and it was a solid 8. Next time I'm going to try the Jimmy Dean sausage or the Granzins. Location is good, right on the corner of FM725 and IH-35 North frontage road, be careful GPS might send you to the south side. As for ambience, it's a donut shop for goodness sake, but it does have a couple tables which is nice. And finally service, it is a lively place and apparently not to forgiving for those who don't know exactly what they want. Felt rushed, and had our tab closed out before we could order drinks, so we just paid and went next door to Whataburger and got our drinks. read more

Donuts are GREAT, ordered a ham and Swiss croissant and was disappointed because it had a ton of American cheese on it and I've been looking for a place that does Swiss. overall okay but I'll just continue looking elsewhere. Their picture of it was very deceiving. read more

I like to think of myself as a donut, connoisseur. I love donuts, especially the cake ones. Donut Palace has a variety of glazed and cake donuts. And come holidays some really beautifully decorated quite. They have heart shaped donuts for Valentine's Day and Great decorated for Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday donuts. In addition they have kolaches. I tried the one that has a sausage patty in it and it was such a good breakfast that really fills you up. Assortment of sausage kolache's, and they also have a very large kolache for those of you who have a big appetite .Of course I'll be back because the donuts are delicious. read more

This is the type of place you need to visit multiple times to be able to try a bit of everything. On my first visit, I got a selection of donuts that were all delicious. The donut holes were airy, the cake donuts were moist and fluffy, and the frosted donuts tasted exactly how I'd expect a fresh donut from a donut place to taste. Next time, I plan to grab a cannoli and some kolaches. They'll even microwave the kolaches for you so you can enjoy it on the drive home. read more

So we stopped in here because Donut Kolache Palace was so bad and I'm glad we did. THIS is what donuts should taste like, light, airy, and sweet. Selection was awesome, service was quick and friendly. The glazed donut was awesome and the apple fritter was maybe the best I've ever had (if not, it was close and if it were warm I'm sure it would have been). Would come back asap although it's a little far to be my go to donut shop. read more

Awesome, friendly and some of the best customer service I have ever had walking into an establishment. Thank you so much for accepting my personal happy birthday order for my son. You guys truly made his day by him being able to enjoy his favorite donuts with his peers. I also noticed when I went to pick up my order, there are two tables set out with chairs for people to enjoy their food inside. That's pretty awesome! The next time I come in, I will bring my boys in so we can all sit down and enjoy the best donuts in New Braunfels! read more

I have to be honest, I'm a little disappointed that they are no longer carrying the cannolis. It looks like there's new owners so the options have slightly changed from what I can see. The gentleman working at the front counter was very courteous and polite, and overall I had a good experience ordering the donuts. I just really wish they still had the cannolis, which were the best I could find in town. For that reason I'm only giving four stars. read more

Donut Palace - Assortment - Donuts Near Me - New Braunfels, Texas

These are some amazing donuts! I got an assortment, so got to try several types and flavors of donuts. I had some surprising favorites. I'm a choco-holic, so of course I loved both the glazed and cake donuts with chocolate frosting- both types were so much lighter than most donuts I've had. The big surprise was how much I loved the blueberry donut. It was a cake type donut and had a unique flavor. Even the donut holes were a cut above most that I've had because they are so moist, light and airy. This was my first time trying Donut Palace and it's definitely my go-to for donuts now. read more

Absolutely love this place. Family owned and operated every time we have a chance we stop in. Kolaches are amazing, the donut holes are melt in your mouth, and fritters are nice and crispy. The owners are friendly and courteous. There's also a pothos the grows along the ceiling 10/10 would absolutely recommend. read more

Went twice during my stay in New Braunfels. Lightest, fluffiest donuts I've ever had. Fantastic. And very reasonably priced. If I'm ever back in the area, will definitely go again. read more

Yum. Loved everything I ate. I had never been to this place before, I got the chocolate on chocolate donut, cinnamon and sugar donut, and the ham and cheese croissant. My husband got donut holes, and an original old fashion glaze. We also got a original glaze too, just to try & an apple juice to share. I'm happy with everything I ate, and definitely plan to come back! We spent around $12 for all of this, definitely worth it :-) read more

This Donut Palace has very tasty donuts. We compare it with our favorite spot at Donut Palace in Kerrville where we love the donuts. The freshness and flavor can also be found here. I have no idea why they do not place some tables and chairs for out of town guests. I had read other reviews on Yelp stating that the chairs and tables are there but for some reason they don't put them up. Service from the attendant was great and he was very polite and friendly. I asked why they did not provide seating and he said that since the "Pandemic" they don't. I would suggest to the owners to reconsider this policy as out of towners need a place to enjoy their purchase and who knows, maybe they would purchase more. If we don't return here, it would be because of the lack of seating. read more

I was greeted upon entry, but all the chairs were stacked to the side so it seemed like they weren't inviting customers to eat in the shop. We got a chocolate sprinkle, a plain glazed donut. The dough was soft & airy, not dense at all, not overly sweet - very pleasant! We also got 2 small plain sausage kolaches, and they seemed quite small for the price tag of $1.75. They also didn't have mustard, which was a big bummer for me. Overall, not a bad product. read more

Unique flavors that were all very tasty. Would return whenever in the area. Expect each donut to cost between $4 and $8, which seems more than when you were a kid, but these are also more creative. We got the chocolate smores and the dubai pistachio creme filled. read more

Donut Palace has some of my favorite donuts in all of New Braunfels. I like that they have iced donuts without glaze! (Glaze on donuts is too sweet for me, so I like when places don't have glaze on all their donuts) It's not the cleanest establishment, but it is yummy! read more

It was a slow Tuesday on vacation in New Braunfels, Texas. The kids woke up wanting donuts, so I did what any typical out of towner would do - I turned to yelp. My children saw the pictures, "dad that looks amazing let's go there!" Wife was skeptical... "it only has 34 reviews..." in her eyes the 4.5 stars meant nothing with only 34 review. As is tradition, the kids got their way and we headed out to donut palace. The donuts were fresh, the croissant sandwich was tasty, and the young lady working the counter was so kind Now you have one more review for the next skeptical potential patron to read. read more

Straight up the best donuts in town! Their sausage cheese kolaches are so good, I got their chocolate on chocolate cake donut and they even threw in a couple donut holes that were so soft and perfect. Service was friendly and generous. This is probably one of the better donut places in New Braunfels! There are a lot of flavors to choose from, including unique ones like Oreo and Fruit Loop. No other place in town offers yummy flavors like these. There is a case full of kolaches of all flavors and there is a cooler full of milks, juices and sodas. The woman who helped me was extremely friendly and helped me out by saying I'd get a better deal by picking 3 more donuts to make a dozen. The donuts were fresh and flavorful! Not the best I've ever had but definitely the better ones in town. read more

Not talking away from the business or the worker who was a very nice and had great customer service. I come from another state and being completely honest I will continue to look for a better quality doughnut shop. The doughnuts are not fresh and they are greasy and taste like fired oil. A fresh doughnut should be light and doughy and you should not taste the oil. If they can get that right it would be a great doughnut shop. Also my daughter ordered a Cannoli and it was stale and she didn't finish it. My other daughter ordered a total of 4 doughnut and didn't finish any of them. Nice place again not speaking bad about the business but I'm giving our honest review on the actual doughnuts. read more

The apple fritters are crispy and to die for. Donuts were good too. Lots of variety to choose from.

Nice little local shop -Wow. The donuts were fresh, soft and tasty. I thought I took pictures but must not have I ordered 12 donuts a bag of donut holes and some breakfast sandwiches. My first time eating this type of sandwich (kolache). The gentleman helping me was very patient. The red velvet cake donuts was flavorful not a strong flavor though. You can tell the donuts are made fresh. The granddaughters loved the yeast with chocolate icing, sprinkles and a couple of m&ms. 4 adults and 3 girls no complaints. Happy bellies.
